According to Wordfence, this plugin has a critical security vulnerability. I have it installed on two sites, and one of these appears to have been hacked. And yet, no updates are available to fix this.

A recent vulnerability was discovered and reported to us, and we worked with WordFence to quickly address the issue and release an update with a fix – prior to the vulnerability being disclosed publicly.
The updated version can be downloaded both through your CodeCanyon Downloads Page or via you WordPress admin panel if you have Automatic Updates set up.
The latest version, 3.8.4, which was released on June 19, includes a security patch and does not have any known vulnerabilities.

Thanks for that! Strange that even though I have automatic updates turned on, it never upgraded to this version, but instead stayed on 3.7.

It is possible to have a logo on white color next to the menu on the main page (home) and other logo in blue color next to the menu on inside pages?

The logo should be part of the header, not the menu. UberMenu just controls the menu (which is another component of a header), so it wouldn’t control the logo. Generally the theme or a builder controls the logo, so you’ll want to check your theme or builder’s features to see how to accomplish that.

Sorry, you can’t merge two menu systems as you would just end up with a mess of conflicts. UberMenu generates the entire menu itself, it can’t just act as a part of another menu.

Working on a site for a client who has this plugin and not seeing a way to hide a menu segment. The default option of adding a class to a menu item does not seem to add to a menu segment, and also no responsive options for menu segments. Do you know of a way to hide a menu segment via css, it doesn’t get wrapped in anything to target… I tried to be creative and add a parent item as a placeholder so I can indent the menu segment, but if I hide the text of the parent item, the menu segment also doesn’t show at all.
e.g. I have a topbar menu, as well as a main menu. On mobile, I want to use the top bar as a menu segment at the bottom of the main menu but only on mobile, then hide the segment on desktop however since I can’t add a class to the menu segment I have no way to target the segment. It just ends up being the regular classes of a menu item… I could target the menu item ID’s but I would rather just hide the whole segment as this could grow over time…

A menu segment doesn’t add any structure to the actual menu (there’s no element to target). Just think of it as a virtual grouping. This allows for greater flexibility with layouts.
Like you mentioned, you could wrap it in another structure, perhaps a [Column] item (which is just structural and produces no content of its own).

That’s going to depend very much on the theme, but I believe it should be possible. I think Flatsome has a header builder, so you can just integrate UberMenu within the mobile header in place of the menu there. You can find our Flatsome guide here: https://sevenspark.com/docs/ubermenu-3/theme-integration/flatsome – the instructions are for integrating on desktop as well, but it should give you an idea of what you’d need to do.

Hi, I have just purchased ubermenu and having a play around with it. I have got a couple of questions;
1. how do I change the size of the menu text? 2. I have followed the instructions on the video UberMenu 3 Demo Tutorials – Part 8: The Works Submenu and have used the tab block then the column block for that categories sub-categories but is it possible to get the spacing the same as the tab block? I have currently used another tab block for the sub categories so it is the same spacing but not sure if this is right? 3. Is it possible to round the corners of the drop down menu? 4. When at the top of the page my menu has a white background but when scrolling down it becomes a sticky menu with a purple background how do I change the colour of the text when it becomes the purple sticky menu as the text it hard to read? 5. where do I enable the category highlight when hovered over it seems to work for categories that have sub categories but not for ones that don’t?

You can change the top level item padding and margin in the Customizer, and you can disable the “Display Submenu Indicators” setting in the UberMenu Control Panel.

From prior experience with Adforest, it is one of the very few themes we’ve encountered that doesn’t use the standard WordPress menu system, so it’ll require Manual Integration to replace the theme’s menu with UberMenu.

It will depend on exactly what facets of that menu you want to achieve. For example,
If you are looking for top-aligned tabs in a submenu with image items, that structure/layout can be done.
If you are looking for slider functionality within the submenu, that’s not something UberMenu does out of the box, but it would be possible to use a third party plugin for that potentially.
If you are looking to recreate the exact styling, that will likely require some custom CSS.

So, in essence, UberMenu is just a block of a page right? Anything I can do with a block on a page, I can put it inside Uber Menu?
No, that is not the case. You can add HTML, shortcodes and widgets as custom content within the menu, but there is currently no functionality to add blocks directly.
