Hi, Just implemented you amazing filter.

But need to now several things

1. How I can filter price on product? 2. How to know meta key for ACF field?

anyway I implemented it in https://staffinc.co/products

Best, Agung Asmara

Also, how can I implemented this filter on product archive template on theme builder. since the filter always return, “No one Filter Set is related to this page.”

Hi mahadamaraditya,

You can place two filter sets on the page, all you need to do is use two shortcodes or two filter widgets on the page or as many as you need.

Please note, that the same filters will work simultaneously.

Create a page using this archive template and place the filter on this page.

ok thank you

We’re using the Filter Everything Pro plugin on our website and have been pleased with its performance for a single listing view. However, we’re now looking to extend its functionality to work seamlessly with both card and list views. Currently, we’re unsure of how to configure the plugin to achieve this.

We kindly request your guidance on the necessary steps or settings adjustments to enable the plugin to filter content in both card and list views using a single filter. Your prompt assistance in this matter would be highly appreciated as it’s crucial for our website’s user experience.

Hi alinawazbt,

Okay, so each view has its query, Cards (query1) and List (query2). Those are not applying different styles, this is two different queries and elements.

We have applied the second filter set on the same page (“Test filter to work for two filters”) added the same filter in that filter set and chose another query, so one filter set has query1 and the second one has query2 and they work together as long the filters are the same (at least the first filter as we didn’t add any more).

Hi,

i tested the plugin on my dev environment and it was ok. Now that I disabled it and wanted to activate on the designated domain, I cant.

Please help!

Hi 47hg59vrhg,

Well, do you have any errors? like “Unknow Error” or “Invalid License Key” or anything else?

You can send us your license key via PM not in the comment section, and we can deactivate it on all of the sites it is currently activated.

Best Regards,
- Victor

I am unable to activate. Have sent login details as requested.

Hi TheVacuumPouch,

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

The license was activated and everything is working well.

Thanks, I have added filters to my shop page but they don’t seem to be working. I select an option with three products and I am still shown all the products, nothing changes. Any ideas?

Go to the filter set settings and in the “And what to filter?” choose another query hit update, and check if it is working.

Best Regards,
- Victor

HI,

I’m unable to activate the license on my site. I keep getting an ‘unknown error’. I have removed the plugin and re-installed ,disabled all add-ons but still get the error.

Hi idkl1914,

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

It seems that your server does not allow connection with our license server. We can activate it on our side, but we need the following things from you:

1. Credentials to your /wp-admin following this document
2. And your license key.

Please, send all these via PM (don’t forget to add the license key, not the purchase code).

Best Regards,
- Victor

The license was activated and everything is working well.

Best Regards,

Thank you!

Hello Sir, Can I please know, for how many different websites can I use your Plugin after purchasing it once. Thank you

Hi claravitorianet,

Thank you for your interest in the Filter Everything plugin.

It’s a lifetime license that you can use on two sites, one stage and the second is prod. Or both prod if you don’t need any stage sites.

When my customers tap the filter button on a phone, the filters appear to malfunction, and the filter overlay behaves strangely. This issue suddenly emerged without any prior warning.

Here is a link to a product page. If you switch to the phone or use the Inspect Element phone size feature, you’ll be able to observe the issue I’m referring to.

https://www.bashsmusic.com.au/product-category/piano-keyboard/digital-pianos/

Hi BashsMusic,

We have checked the site and the issue is in your theme or custom styling with position sticky in mobile mode after applying any filter – https://prnt.sc/1FKczAPBybCb if you turn it off it is working and showing correctly.

Best Regards,
- Victor

Hello, I didn’t include this in the code at all. Is it possible for you to remove it for me? I understand that this may not be within your responsibilities, but I’m also encountering other PHP errors. Would it be possible for you to provide guidance on how to resolve them? Thank you.

Hi BashsMusic,

Maybe it is the theme styling or page builder, not sure what you are using. You can add the CSS in the Advanced CSS tab from the customization menu, using the classes from the screenshot to remove/rewrite those styles.

If the errors are related to our plugin, you can share a screenshot with us and we will provide you with relevant information. However, if they are unrelated, we cannot offer any assistance following the support policy. It is advisable to hire a developer from platforms like Upwork to fix them for you.

I’m unable to activate the license on our development site. I keep getting an ‘unknown error’. I have removed the plugin and re-installed the latest version but still get the error.

Thank you Victor – will there be any potential issue when we finally go live and switch from our IP to proper domain name?

Hi maxim74,

If any issues do arise, please don’t hesitate to contact us and send the credentials and license key via PM. We will activate it within a matter of minutes.

I am experiencing an issue where my filter is not updating the products shown when clicked. For example, the product categories are all correctly shown but when a category is clicked, nothing happens to show the filtered products. When filtering the price or in stock, it updates the categories filter accordingly, however the products themselves do not show in the loop. I’m using the archive products widget in elementor to display the products.

Hi kirkjames1,

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

Go to the filter set settings and in the “And what to filter?” choose another query and hit update then check the workability.

Please note, that the plugin does not display products, it is only filtering them. So if the category pages do not display products they won’t appear while applying filters. You need to display products in order to filter them.

Best Regards,
- Victor

I had multiple queries, not sure why. I changed my ‘Where to filter?’ to Common Wordpress Pages -all archive pages for this post type and ‘What to filter?’ to Product query #4. Now it works as expected. Thank you!

Hi kirkjames1,

We are glad to hear that everything is working correctly.

Hi. i have issue with the plugin. On my page where i display posts from custom post type and have filters which filter posts via acf fileds and i have a problem. For example i have here 7 posts with these acf region https://yithemes.com/themes/plugins/yith-woocommerce-membership/?utm_source=wp-premium-dashboard&utm_medium=yith-woocommerce-membership&utm_campaign=plugin-row-meta and in sidebar filter show correct number 7 but when filter it show only 1 result on fronted…same for some other filters https://prnt.sc/t1jw48xpkgyx Also on another test site i have this memeber plugin https://yithemes.com/themes/plugins/yith-woocommerce-membership/?utm_source=wp-premium-dashboard&utm_medium=yith-woocommerce-membership&utm_campaign=plugin-row-meta and filter works wine with admin but not with customer plagin role..simple wont filter anything

Algright we have found the issue, 4 of the “NW” were added correctly rest of them had space at the end so it was “NW ” instead of “NW” that is your issue. We have deleted the spaces and it is working correctly. Please pay attention to such details when you add the data to those fields as they should be the same.

Best Regards,
- Victor

I didn’t enter the text but my colleague, can you give me a screenshot of the exact spacing you mean?

It looks like some type of new line or anything else, but it’s not just a space.

1) https://prnt.sc/AATOg9MZ8xbV
2) https://prnt.sc/AYxIXyAy8a1h
3) https://prnt.sc/IFBAcK94jFis
4) https://prnt.sc/2F18_isvxA21

And here is a good fact for you, in the old Region field and new Region field those values are absolutely the same with that new line or other symbol that looks like a space. So in fact no one was adding new data one by one post as they would be for sure different.

Hello, I have a custom query in my page-template which displays the post loop for 10 different taxonomies.

I want to filter all at once, but when I look at filter settings it shows up with 10 different queries. How can i globally set my filter to filter from all taxonomy queries on my page? Thanks

Hi support_acemsthailand,

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

Well, you can place 10 identical filter sets, each with the same filters inside, and select a different query for each set. In theory, this could work together. You can use 10 shortcodes to display all of the filter sets, and you can simply hide them, only leaving one of them. It will make all 10 filters together if they will have the same filters. So in theory when you choose something in one filter set it will be chosen in all of the others as well.

Is there an issue with Getting a License Key? After approving Filter Everything to connect with our Envato account through the plugin Settings -> License tab, it simply redirects to a blank page. Unable to add the license for future updates.

Hi atrammell1,

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

Try to follow this instruction using incognito mode.

Head to Filters -> Settings -> License and click the “Get your License Key” button.

It will take you to a new page where you can log in with your Envato credentials (with an account where you have purchased the plugin) and obtain your License key.

Hello! When we put 2 filters on a page and set Priority, one of the filters is not displayed correctly. Only the filter with higher value is displayed correctly. In the second filter we see a message about the absence of terns, although they are specified. Example: https://lapa.shop/city/kyiv/ How can I make sure both filters are displayed correctly?

Hi ruslanyh,

From what we should start, realization, right now everything is separated on different things like city attributes pages and categories and so on.

Here is what we would recommend in order to make it user-friendly and easy to keep up with new updates.

You can create three categories, dogs, cats, and products for them (make translations for them of course so each language will have the needed items)

Make those links (at the top of your site) send you to the needed category page, and place a filter set on the desired category for each language. Basically, you will have 3 filter sets (9 sets together as 3 for each language) Dogs, Cats, and Products.

When for example, you go on the Dog page (which should display all of the dogs) you will have a filter set with:
1) Breed
2) City
3) Any Other filters that you have like price etc.

You can make AND logic with radio buttons or dropdowns, so the user can choose one filter term from each filter and show items only that have all of those terms applied to them.

Create SEO Rules like any category + breed + city and when you choose breed and city you get an SEO like:

Buy dog/cat/product… husky/sphynx/toys… in Lviv/Kyiv/Vinnytsia…

The thing is that with product attributes “Any City” won’t work correctly as it will be applied to all of the terms (meaning in different languages as well). If you place them separately it will show correctly.

So a way out from this either create a filter set for each city attribute or change the realization that you have on your site right now. Which one do you think will be better for you and in your case.

Very difficult. Did we understand the point correctly: it is better to create sets of filters in categories, because they will not work correctly in attributes?

Hi ruslanyh,

We tried to explain how to make it easier. Because your approach was looking very difficult to maintain. But currently placing the filter set on “Any Attribute” will display it in all languages. Only if you place it on a specific attribute it will work for each language separately.

Hi, is there a way to sort our dropdown filter options alphabetical?

Hi mrijnwal,

Go to the filter set settings, choose the needed filter click the more options, and choose how you would like to sort your terms in the “Sort Terms by” dropdown.

Best Regards,
- Victor

Hello,

Is it possible to sort standard WP posts by category name using the sorting widget? Can you point me in the right direction?

Hi psstudiosinc,

Not really, but you can use the ACF custom field and apply it to the posts simply use “select” for the custom field and write down all of the categories as options to choose from, and apply the needed one to each post. In that can you can create a sorting widget by that meta key.

Hi, how can I display the filter on every page with the shortcode? [fe_widget]? Or display it within the search results

Hi deepcoding,

The shortcode is to display the filter widget if the filter widget is set up in the settings on those pages where you have placed the shortcode.

Basically, if you have category pages, you place a shortcode using a hook or even inside the template however you want, and in the filter set settings in the “Where to filter” choose “Categories or Product Categories” + “Any Category or Certain category name”. Same with singular pages, choose “Pages” + “Name of my page”. If you want to display it on the search page choose “Common WordPress pages” + “Search results page…”

Hello. Filters works great on the woocommerce categories, but the base wordpress search returns 404

https://yanko.kids/?s=%D1%88%D1%82%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%B8

Hi Tuskotrush,

More likely you are using a one-letter prefix for filters. One of them is “s” and by default, WP uses ?s= for searching. That’s why 404 is appearing. We would recommend using unique filter prefixes, which can be changed from Filters -> Settings -> URL Prefixes. Change those prefixes to the unique ones, hit save, and check the workability.

Best Regards,
- Victor

OMG! I spent 2 days for fixing it. You fixed it in 2 minutes :D

Thank you!

Hi,

When choosing a filter option on the front end, the filter refreshes the page and the filter choice is no longer selected.

Thanks!

credentials sent. thank you!

Hi pac-nyc,

You have a problem with prefixes – https://prnt.sc/SCxpS6s_rAiu they should be unique, not like categories, attributes, and so on, unique absolutely unique, and do not repeat with other slugs.

Second, you have some issues with prefixes, because those filters that you created are not displayed in the list of URL Prefixes from Filters -> Settings -> URL Prefixes, so we would recommend first fixing all of the prefixes to make them unique.

Thank you. Appreciate you and your assistance!

Hi there, I am in the process of migrating a site from another CMS to WordPress and love the FEP plugin for what it can do for my content filtering! Really nice!

The issue I would like to ask about is the strange behavior with dropdown boxes doing a “crunching” or flicker thing on reload. See here where this is happening: https://techjobterms.com/category/terms/

When you use either the Sort Topics drop-down or one of the Categories or Tags ones, it is visible if the field is of course visible on the bottom end of your computer screen.

It tried some things like finding info on any flickering here in the comments and I also found this online about Select2 and FOUC issues:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/61505577/jquery-select2-width-100-creates-flashes-on-load-how-to-prevent

None of this is of course a major big deal, but it would be nicer if the Dropdown filters would be steady and not flicker at all upon page reload.

(I am not using AJAX BTW as I can’t figure out how to make that work with my theme, HTML page id section stuff, etc. )

Any ideas on how to fix this dropdown flicker would be most welcome! The fields I use these for just have too many items to use checkboxes for…..

I don’t know if this is an enhancement in your plugin code or if mere CSS would do the trick in the theme environment I am using.

That is Yootheme Pro BTW, which is UI kit based.

Look forward to your thoughts!

Hi NetConfig,

Alright, so we are back with the answer. This is simply the issue of the select2 because it is loading first DOM and then applying styles and JS on it to make it look like that. So as long as you are using the updated dropdown it will work like that. On powerful PCs, it is not that visible on the below-average ones it will be more visible.

So it will work like that or you can turn it off and use your own styles without JS and etc.

Best Regards,
- Victor

Thanks Victor – I have used the code from this page in the page and it removes all flickering of the Select2 boxes. I suppose there may be a slight speed / page load impact but it looks a lot cleaner with no flickering!

https://monc.se/kitchen/152/avoiding-flickering-in-jquery/

I simply added that to the custom code in my theme and all is well.

FEP is a lovely plugin!

Hi NetConfig,

Thank you for sharing this solution with others. It seems like a great approach.

Hello. I asked previously about placing two filter sets on one category page and you answered that it’s possible to set two filters one for particular category and another filter that is applicable for all categories. I checked this and this do not work. Only one filter can be set on the category page. If you have one filter set that is set to filter “Product category -> Every categories” it will be showing on the category page where no other filters exists. If you assing another filter to this particular category, then “common” filter will be replaced by this “special” filter, so they cannot reside on one category page at the same time. So i have two questions. May be some settings i missed and because of it filters not working in the right way.? I want you to check that my words are true, but this need giving access to dashboard what is inappropriate in this area. How i can i give you access credentials to the dashboard ?

Hi tparashchuk,

When you have two filter sets:

1) Set for any Category
2) Set for a Certain category

You will see only the second filter set because it has a higher priority over Any Category. Here is what you can do here.

1) Create a filter set and place it for Any Category 2) Create a filter set for a certain category and include a filter from the first filter set which is set for Any Category. In this case, you will see only one filter set on the page which will have filters from Any Category and the additional filters that you want to place on a certain category.

But in general, you don’t even need to do that, you can make one filter set that will have all of the filters in it, and choose to hide empty terms and hide empty filters. In this case, you will see available filters for products in each category the rest will be hidden.

- Victor
