I am experiencing an issue where my filter is not updating the products shown when clicked. For example, the product categories are all correctly shown but when a category is clicked, nothing happens to show the filtered products. When filtering the price or in stock, it updates the categories filter accordingly, however the products themselves do not show in the loop. I’m using the archive products widget in elementor to display the products.

Go to the filter set settings and in the “And what to filter?” choose another query and hit update then check the workability.
Please note, that the plugin does not display products, it is only filtering them. So if the category pages do not display products they won’t appear while applying filters. You need to display products in order to filter them.

1) The first issue. Can you please send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it? Also, make sure that you have a filter set created with that issue so we can check it, please write the name of the file set so we can check it right away, in case there are multiple of filter sets.
2) The plugin wasn’t tested with the provided plugin as we do not have it on our hands. So we cannot say anything about their compatibility.

I sent
The first case with SW is solved. Create an ACF field with options, and choose the needed options on your case study posts. We have created a test ACF field and created a filter by it, you can check it at the bottom of all filters. Also, we applied those to the first 3 study posts those options.
When you are using the ACF text field and write the same names SW etc. it works correctly.
The second case is under investigation if we can do something about it.

As to the second issue, it is either some settings in the “YITH WooCommerce Membership” or not compatible with each other. Our plugin does not have any user role restrictions. You can contact “YITH WooCommerce Membership” support to ask about this type of issue, perhaps they can provide a solution to it, or correct settings. The plugin is not working only when using the membership roles. In admin or just without logging in everything is working.

As okay, we see the issue now. You either renamed the ACF field names (meta keys) and used them, or any other manipulations like that. The thing is that when you change the name in the ACF it does not change in the database and our plugin takes data from the database. We have created one more test option with the ACF text field and everything is working correctly as it should.
If you go into the database you will see that there are only two SWs with this meta key and only one is related to that post that you see – https://prnt.sc/VbsnyGY1hNMT
So you either need to create new ACF custom fields or add everything manually to the database, because ACF as we mentioned previously doesn’t change anything in the database. It doesn’t even delete them from the database when you delete any field.

I use new metakey,new acf new meta, i made new acf filed and put new values in existing posts in that new field in single post.You can check it is new field region temp and old one is just region.

Well for the site with the case studies, we do not have access anymore. So we cannot check it and create it all ourselves. But please provide access one more time for us. You can even provide the links to all posts that should have this region, so we can create an ACF field with that and test it ourselves because we have a strong feeling that something isn’t right on your site.

We opened all 9 SW posts, and manually one by one changed the values to the AQ to test everything is showing correctly. Then one by one we set it to the SW and as you see here – https://webelliondesign.com/pepipe/case-study-pepipe/study_reg-sw/ the number is absolutely correct and it is showing all 9 posts.
We don’t know in which way you add the data to those custom fields that applied to your posts, but we have suspicions that you are using some global option to do it for all posts at the same time which is not working correctly because one by one post is working correctly.
Also, if you have any copy functionality plugins and so on, they might work incorrectly as well, trying to make it faster at the end causing a lot of issues because of their work.

But how some options work and some dont? That doesn’t make any sense if it was global then everyone would be working on the same way. I add values to every single post in that single post,acf iz made for cpt and it is shown in every single post and in every single post you put values for that post and display that in tables on case study page. Algright we have found the issue, 4 of the “NW” were added correctly rest of them had space at the end so it was “NW ” instead of “NW” that is your issue. We have deleted the spaces and it is working correctly. Please pay attention to such details when you add the data to those fields as they should be the same.

And here is a good fact for you, in the old Region field and new Region field those values are absolutely the same with that new line or other symbol that looks like a space. So in fact no one was adding new data one by one post as they would be for sure different.

Well, you can place 10 identical filter sets, each with the same filters inside, and select a different query for each set. In theory, this could work together. You can use 10 shortcodes to display all of the filter sets, and you can simply hide them, only leaving one of them. It will make all 10 filters together if they will have the same filters. So in theory when you choose something in one filter set it will be chosen in all of the others as well.

Is there an issue with Getting a License Key? After approving Filter Everything to connect with our Envato account through the plugin Settings -> License tab, it simply redirects to a blank page. Unable to add the license for future updates.

Hello! When we put 2 filters on a page and set Priority, one of the filters is not displayed correctly. Only the filter with higher value is displayed correctly. From what we should start, realization, right now everything is separated on different things like city attributes pages and categories and so on.
Here is what we would recommend in order to make it user-friendly and easy to keep up with new updates.
You can create three categories, dogs, cats, and products for them (make translations for them of course so each language will have the needed items)
Make those links (at the top of your site) send you to the needed category page, and place a filter set on the desired category for each language. Basically, you will have 3 filter sets (9 sets together as 3 for each language) Dogs, Cats, and Products.
When for example, you go on the Dog page (which should display all of the dogs) you will have a filter set with:
1) Breed
2) City
3) Any Other filters that you have like price etc.
You can make AND logic with radio buttons or dropdowns, so the user can choose one filter term from each filter and show items only that have all of those terms applied to them.
Create SEO Rules like any category + breed + city and when you choose breed and city you get an SEO like:
Buy dog/cat/product… husky/sphynx/toys… in Lviv/Kyiv/Vinnytsia…
The thing is that with product attributes “Any City” won’t work correctly as it will be applied to all of the terms (meaning in different languages as well). If you place them separately it will show correctly.
So a way out from this either create a filter set for each city attribute or change the realization that you have on your site right now. Which one do you think will be better for you and in your case.

We tried to explain how to make it easier. Because your approach was looking very difficult to maintain. But currently placing the filter set on “Any Attribute” will display it in all languages. Only if you place it on a specific attribute it will work for each language separately.

Not really, but you can use the ACF custom field and apply it to the posts simply use “select” for the custom field and write down all of the categories as options to choose from, and apply the needed one to each post. In that can you can create a sorting widget by that meta key.

The shortcode is to display the filter widget if the filter widget is set up in the settings on those pages where you have placed the shortcode.
Basically, if you have category pages, you place a shortcode using a hook or even inside the template however you want, and in the filter set settings in the “Where to filter” choose “Categories or Product Categories” + “Any Category or Certain category name”. Same with singular pages, choose “Pages” + “Name of my page”. If you want to display it on the search page choose “Common WordPress pages” + “Search results page…”

More likely you are using a one-letter prefix for filters. One of them is “s” and by default, WP uses ?s= for searching. That’s why 404 is appearing. We would recommend using unique filter prefixes, which can be changed from Filters -> Settings -> URL Prefixes. Change those prefixes to the unique ones, hit save, and check the workability.

You have a problem with prefixes – https://prnt.sc/SCxpS6s_rAiu they should be unique, not like categories, attributes, and so on, unique absolutely unique, and do not repeat with other slugs.
Second, you have some issues with prefixes, because those filters that you created are not displayed in the list of URL Prefixes from Filters -> Settings -> URL Prefixes, so we would recommend first fixing all of the prefixes to make them unique.

Hi there, I am in the process of migrating a site from another CMS to WordPress and love the FEP plugin for what it can do for my content filtering! Really nice!
The issue I would like to ask about is the strange behavior with dropdown boxes doing a “crunching” or flicker thing on reload. See here where this is happening: https://techjobterms.com/category/terms/
When you use either the Sort Topics drop-down or one of the Categories or Tags ones, it is visible if the field is of course visible on the bottom end of your computer screen.
It tried some things like finding info on any flickering here in the comments and I also found this online about Select2 and FOUC issues:

Any ideas on how to fix this dropdown flicker would be most welcome! The fields I use these for just have too many items to use checkboxes for…..
I don’t know if this is an enhancement in your plugin code or if mere CSS would do the trick in the theme environment I am using.

Alright, so we are back with the answer. This is simply the issue of the select2 because it is loading first DOM and then applying styles and JS on it to make it look like that. So as long as you are using the updated dropdown it will work like that. On powerful PCs, it is not that visible on the below-average ones it will be more visible.
So it will work like that or you can turn it off and use your own styles without JS and etc.

Thanks Victor – I have used the code from this page in the page and it removes all flickering of the Select2 boxes. I suppose there may be a slight speed / page load impact but it looks a lot cleaner with no flickering!

When you have two filter sets:
1) Set for any Category
2) Set for a Certain category
You will see only the second filter set because it has a higher priority over Any Category. Here is what you can do here.
1) Create a filter set and place it for Any Category 2) Create a filter set for a certain category and include a filter from the first filter set which is set for Any Category. In this case, you will see only one filter set on the page which will have filters from Any Category and the additional filters that you want to place on a certain category.
But in general, you don’t even need to do that, you can make one filter set that will have all of the filters in it, and choose to hide empty terms and hide empty filters. In this case, you will see available filters for products in each category the rest will be hidden.

Hi,
When using a custom value (for example _width), the filter still shows when there are no products on the page.
I have enabled ‘Hide empty Filters’. Every other filter in the set is hidden but the custom value ones are still showing I am assuming that it is pulling out of stock items too or something and this is why it’s still showing values?
Is there anyway to stop this from happening.

Try to place the filter set on the certain category page, and check if it will show anything. Also, make sure that you choose the correct query in the “And what to filter”.
More like your category pages have unique queries, that’s why you see those numbers on the empty category page without any products.

In link two, there are only out of stock products in the category but the filter still shows (only for custom)
The ‘Where to filter?’ is set to product categories and ‘any’ (this needs to be the option)
‘And what to filter?’ only shows product query main.

on “hagan-ski.com” we still have the situation that the order of the item is not like it’s intended, once it was good but I suspect some other things in the database made it move again.

I had the free version working but wanted tot use pre_get_posts and the filter stopped working. So I bought the pro version and am using a custom wp_query now. But when I try to filter, i get a blanc page instead of the results. Not an page error, just no results. What could be the problem? I tried to search here, but thats not working properly.

Hi Victor, I made a page with a custom template and the custom query in it, Then selected the page for the filter. The filter options are visible in de sidebar en the counting works. Just like before in the archive template. But same problem exisits. When I select an option to filter, the part of the page where all posts where, becomes empthy.

I have found the problem.
I want to exclude posts on this page where the ACF field (true/false) is false/not checked or doesn’t exist. This part of the array is causing te problem. I have tried it first with pre_get_posts. I thought the filter stopped working because of that. But is is because of the meta query in the $args. Do you have an idea how to solve this?

Well, you can make such range values in the ACF custom field checkbox, apply those ranges on every product, which have that range of price or anything else that you need manually, and create a filter set by this custom field meta key.
But to make it automatic, no, there is no out-of-the-box solution yet, only with the custom coding.
