Hi!

How much does your plugin influence load time itself?

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in our plugin.

It depends. If your preloader does not contain an image (background image of the loading screen or use a custom image as a loader), and you set up the preloader very simply (only using pure CSS animations), it will hardly affect the loading time.

But if your preloader contains images, it will take extra time to load the images. The time required will be determined by the file size of the images, your server response speed and the current internet speed.

Hello,

the progress bar is shown from the beginning and the bar is activated again shortly before the page is displayed.

What could be the reason for this?

The problem is also in the desktop version, but especially noticeable on the smartphone.

Hello Daniel,

Thank you for contacting us, and thank you for providing the screenshot and screencast video.

To resolve the problem, please exclude the Inline JavaScript of LoftLoader. Please check this documentation for more details: Exclude Code from Caching.

Please feel free to let us know if this solution can resolve the problem on your website.

Thank you very much.

Thank you… Thats it :-)

Thank you for your feedback! ;)

Hello! I am interested in purchasing the PRO version but I would like to now how I can add this loading on the admin dashboard pages also. Is that possible? And if yes how can this be done? Thank you in advance!

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in our plugin.

Sorry, currently this plugin doesn’t support displaying the preloader on the admin dashboard pages.

We have added it to the “Feature Request List” and will consider adding this feature to this plugin in the future (the priority of adding a feature will depend on the number of same / similar feature requests we receive).

Thank you again for bringing this up. :)

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us. Could you please provide the following information so that we can look into the problem for you?

1. Please create a staging site of your live site. A staging site is an exact copy of your entire live website, so the problems that occur on the live site will also occur on the staging site.

2. Then please create a temporary admin account of this staging site and let us log into this staging site, so that we can check the problem and debug on the staging site, without affecting your live site.

3. Please email your staging site URL and the temporary login credentials to general@loftocean.com .

You can use this free plugin to create a staging site: WP Staging – DB & File Duplicator & Migration.

And you can use this plugin to create a Temporary Login Without Password.

You may like to read our documentation to find more details about Debugging on your staging site & Creating a Temp Admin User.

Looking forward to your reply. Thank you very much.

Thanks for your reply, I fixed it by disabling the “Any Page Extension” in the Loftloader Pro settings!

Thank you for your reply!

When “Any Page Extension” is enabled, an input box for inserting the preloader shortcode will be added in the editor (Classic / Gutenberg). So your problem may be solved by disabling this feature.

However, since we have not received any reports of the same / similar issues from other users, and we were unable to reproduce the same issue on our test site, therefore, we still cannot determine the exact cause of the problem you encountered.

To find the cause of a problem, we need to see it first and then troubleshoot various factors in the environment where the problem occurs.

Therefore, if you still need to use “Any Page Extension” and the problem persists, please provide the information we mentioned in the previous answer so we can check the problem to find the exact cause.

Thank you very much.

Hi guys,

As far as I know, Loftloader was working fine until I uploaded a new image for my LoftLoader background, and now it loads on every page load again, instead of once per session.

However, not needing to mess around with things, I hadn’t checked the operation since the new version was released a few days ago.

Is this something to do with the new version?

Also, I was having problems with the WP Rocket Lazyload system, so they came onto the website and fixed that too.

If you needed to examine, details are the same, and I’ve had to disable it pending your views.

Ahhh, right – Clearfy is a great plugin, and one of their features is that it can disable plugins, CSS and javascript on a page-by-page basis.

I’m guessing that’ll be where the problem is then, and I’ll update as soon as I find the setting that caused it.

Thanks guys!

Right then, if you get any pre-sales questions on whether LoftLoader is compatible with Clearfy, yes it is – provided that you turn off all of the ‘Defence’ settings in there, author logins, login errors, hiding versions etc, though the ‘Hide Login’ section within Clearfy is fine to use with LoftLoader..

I reckon that it was conflicting with Wordfence on some items, and turning the majority of them off solves the problem.

Thank you very much for the detailed reply!

Just a heads up on an issue with your plugin. I had issues with WP Rocket broken caching and optimizing of images. I reached out to their developers who looked into the issue and determined the cause as your plugin. In particular, they concluded that the issue related to, and I quote … “I looked into that plugin’s code and found that by disabling this action (/inc/frontend/class-manager.php), the issue was resolved:

add_action( ‘wp_loaded’, array( $this, ‘start_cache’ ) );

This is probably related to the ob_start() function in the start_cache method.

You should convey this info to the plugin’s developer and ask for their support.

Hi,

Thank you very much for this report.

We are preparing for the next update of LoftLoader Pro, and this issue you mentioned has been found and has been fixed in this new version. We are currently doing the final test and will release this update shortly.

After this update is available, please update LoftLoader Pro and check if it can resolve the issue on your site. If the problem persists, please feel free to let us know and we will look into the problem for you.

Hi guys,

The option to ‘only load once on homepage’ has stopped working again.

What is it that you do, so I don’t have to keep bothering you in here?

Just a little piece of advice, please:

You mentioned in your email that you cleared a few cache files, which resolved my sticky menu and trending topics options.

I’m again having cache files problems, and I’m a little worried that LoftLoader will become affected again.

Which cache files did you remove so that I can do it from my end?

Don’t worry, all sorted.

Got my webhost onto it and they narrowed it down to the WP Rocket lazyloading system not working properly in their latest upgrade.

WP Rocket will be getting a RayRaven rocket up their ass tonight!

Thank you for the update, Ray. :)

Hello,

Before buying the Pro version, I test the Lite version. The plugin is install and activate but the loader does not work with my theme. Do you have a track?

Thank you

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in our plugin.

Could you provide more information, please? So that we can first check the problem between your theme and the Lite version of this plugin for you.

1. Please send us your website URL. (Please activate LoftLoader Lite on your website so that we can see the problem you are seeing.)

2. Please provide a detailed description of the problem. “The loader does not work with my theme” – What is the specific problem? Is the preloader not showing? Or, the preloader won’t disappear when the page is loaded?

3. What theme you are using?

4. Please provide some screenshots of the problem.

5. Did you see any notices or error messages?

6. Please also include any other information that you find useful.

7. Please email these information to general@loftocean.com . And please point out that your problem corresponds to LoftLoader Lite.

Looking forward to your reply. Thank you very much.

Hi there!

I did this pre-sales question one moth ago: https://codecanyon.net/item/loftloader-pro-preloader-plugin-for-wordpress/17339671/comments?page=10&filter=all#comment_22904443

Can you help me with the CSS code. I would like it the effect slowly.

Another thing: I have animated some page items form Elementor Pro options. Some entrance animations with few time delay. What I realized is that when the loader courtain shows the page, some animations has already happened.

You can see it really easy with this home animations: With Softloader: https://lourdes.zliks.cat/ Without: http://lourdestornos.com/ The animation is the same. Here you have an screenshot of the animation options in Elementor: https://pasteboard.co/IFE0yzP.png

When the page is shown the animation should begin. Not before. It is possible to do something about it?

I don’t care if the page it’s not fully loaded. I just search a great visual experience.

In fact, If it’s possible to disable the page preloader and just keep the smooth page transitions, I would prefer.

Hope you can help me!

Thanks a lot for your nice work!

Arnau

Hi Arnau,

Thank you for contacting us.

Please add the following custom CSS code to your website:

#loftloader-wrapper {
    visibility: hidden;
}

.leaves #loftloader-wrapper {
    visibility: visible;
}

.loaded.loftloader-loaded.leaves #loftloader-wrapper.end-split-h .loader-bg:after,
.loaded.loftloader-loaded.leaves #loftloader-wrapper.end-split-h .loader-bg:before {
    transition-duration: 0.7s;
}

If you read this comment in email instead of on the CodeCanyon comment page, you may see the CSS code wrapped in ”< pre >”. The ”< pre >” code are only used to display the CSS code correctly on the comment page. When copying CSS code, please do not copy them. To make sure you get the correct CSS code, please refer to this screenshot: https://d.pr/free/i/FGCJOz .

After adding these CSS code, the preloader only appears when you click on the internal link. Then, when the new page opens, the preloader will disappear (without animation). Therefore, you will only see the animation of the curtain closing effect, without the opening of the curtain. We made a similar preloader on our test site and recorded a screencast video to show you the effect, please watch the video here: https://d.pr/free/v/Y1UXJN .

If you want the curtains to close more slowly, you can change the “transition-duration” value to a larger one, for example: “transition-duration: 1s;” (the default value is 0.4s).

After adding custom CSS code, if you cannot see changes on the frontend, please clear your site cache and your browser cache, then refresh your pages to check the results.

Hope this helps. Please feel free to let us know if you have any problems/questions. :)

Hello,

Some presale questions:

1) Is that possible to show only the loading bar on top of page? 2) Is that possble to make the prelaoder works before everything’s loaded?

Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in our plugin. Please see the answers below:

1) Yes, you can disable all other elements of the loading screen except the progress bar. Then set the position of the progress bar to “Top”.

2) Yes, you can set the preloader to detect “All Elements”. And if you are using any cache/performance optimization plugin, you just need to exclude JS and CSS files of LoftLoader. Please check the FAQs page and see the detailed information of “My page content appears before the preloader.”

Thanks!

Hi,

I’ve a small issue with the loading bar doesn’t instantly loads. How to display it when I click on the button or link, and disappears after the website loads? Like how the progress bar works in android’s chrome.

Awaiting your reply.

Thanks.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us.

According to the current working logic of LoftLoader Pro, the loading bar is only displayed when the data of the new page is returned to the browser by the server. Therefore, when you click a button or link, the load bar is temporarily not displayed because you are still waiting for the server to send new page data.

After discussions with the team members, we came up with a possible solution to achieve the effect you need. Therefore, could you please provide us with the following information so that we can modify some code of our plugin:

1. Please send us your website URL.

2. Please provide your FTP login credentials so that we can modify LoftLoader Pro’s code via FTP.

3. Please create a temporary admin account and let us log into your website. Alternatively, You can create a staging site so that we can work on the staging site without affecting your live site. And please also grant permission to modify our plugin’s code using this account, just in case the FTP login credentials don’t work (blocked by firewall or something else).

Please send these information to general@loftocean.com . Looking forward to your reply. Thank you very much.

Hi guys,

I’m coming back to you regarding the initial page loading of the pre-loader.

As a reminder, I’ve got Loftloader set to run on the Homepage only, and Once only.

Last night, I happened to notice that in my WP Rocket settings, that ‘Never cache this page’ was checked for the homepage, no doubt due to the trailing forward slash added into the WP Rocket settings by you guys on a previous support thread.

So I UN-checked this option, and the website started to run blisteringly fast, usually sub-2secs, but the problem now was that the pre-loader appeared every time that the homepage was loaded.

Checking the option again removed the pre-loader on every load, but the website homepage slowed to around 4-5 secs.

This issue then remains unsolved, as where the rest of the website indeed runs blisteringly fast, the homepage is running uncached and taking 2-3 times the load time of the other pages.

Any chance of a permanent fix for this issue?

Hey, tried it out on a few different browsers, and it works perfectly, thank you so much!

I’ll get to work on my Halloween pre-loader now, all dedicated to LoftLoader!

Hi Ray,

Thank you so much for your kind feedback, and thank you for the 5 star rating! ;)

It’s a pleasure to be the only one on the planet with a fully functioning, and fully cached LoftLoader, that loads only once (until the upgrade comes out that is) :)

Reckon this will be a game-changer in pre-loaders!

Hi guys,

Just popping in again.

I’ve just changed my image to a really really bright one, and it’s quite hard to make out what my logo and welcome message says.

Is there a way to tone the image down a couple or three notches so that everything becomes legible again, WITHOUT using the opacity setting which I’ve already tried and noticed that the content below is visible?

Or do I need to tone it down a little by using Gimp?

Hi Ray,

Thank you for contacting us.

Although the image brightness can be changed via code (using CSS filters), this technique is often used for animation and interaction. For example, to slightly darken an image when hovering cursor over it.

CSS filters will take up processing power and impact performance. There are many different CSS filters (brightness/blur/saturate/...), some of which only take up very little processing power, but we still recommend using them only when necessary.

Therefore, when the image is just a background image of the loading screen, we recommend editing the image using a photo editor such as Gimp or Photoshop. :)

Best regards,

The Loft.Ocean Team

I can’t upload the loader image because of this error “Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘controller’ of undefined”. How to solve this error?

Using LoftLoader Lite, I could upload a loader image.

version WordPress: 5.4.2 PHP: 7.2.17

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us.

Could you please provide the following information so that we can look into this problem for you?

1. Please send us your website URL.

2. Please create a temporary admin account for us and let us log into your site. Because every user might have a different site environment, this would be the best method to find out the exact cause of the problem.

3. Could you please also provide your FTP login credentials, so that we can check the error log of your website? In addition, we may need to modify our plugin code via FTP to resolve the problem if necessary.

4. Please email these details to general@loftocean.com .

Looking forward to your reply. Thank you very much.

Stunning piece of kit – started with the ‘lite’ version and then upgraded within half an hour to the Pro version!

Anyway, just a slight problem that you’ve probably been asked before:

I’m using WPRocket for caching, and I have Loftloader set to only run once on the homepage.

On trying it out on Firefox though, I found that it was appearing all the time.

So I’ve cleared all the caches, reset all the preloads, and regenerated critical CSS – most of which is happening as I write this.

What do I exclude in WPRocket if it still loads multiple times in Firefox ,IE etc?

Pretty comprehensive diagnosis of events there, and I’ll run through all of them, especially the ‘Sassy’ one.

I’ve been looking at going back to the ‘Redirection’ plugin to sort out my 404s, as it only started happening since enabling Loft Loader that the ‘undefined’ instances started appearing, but as both you and I have already mentioned – if the undefined gets redirected to the homepage anyway, it shouldn’t really matter.

In association with this, I’ve also reset the Loftloader Pro>> More>> Minimum Load Time down from 2 secs to 0.0 secs, so the website should kick in now as soon as it’s ready.

And all it needed was a forward slash in WP Rocket, yes?

Who would have thought it!

Excellent diagnosing from all concerned, and a pleasure to have worked with you (even at 4 till 6.30 in the morning :) )

Thank you very much for your positive feedback!

Since we are still unable to determine the cause, we will continue to track this “undefined” instance issue. If you find any possible cause and if they are related to our plugin, please feel free to send us a report and we will improve the plugin code to resolve/avoid the issue.

It is absolutely a pleasure to have worked with you :) . If you have any questions while using LoftLoader, please just let us know.

Have a great day!

Yes, that’s why I knocked the preloader time down from 2 secs to 0 secs, to see if it makes a difference.

Either way, I’ll keep you informed.

See you later!

Hello,

i am very interested in your Loftloader Preloader Plugin but would like to know if its only for pages’ initial loading, or also for situations when the page is loaded already but rendering new content after an interaction.

Regards,

Alex Mitsch

Hello Alex,

Thank you for your interest in our plugin.

The preloader only shows for pages’ initial loading. It will not display for situations when the page is loaded already but rendering new content after an interaction.

Hi there,

I am interest i the smooth page transitions. The curtains close effect once you click on a link.

Is it possible to control the speed of the curtains? And is it compatible with Elementor?

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

Thank you for your interest in our plugin. :)

You can control the speed of the curtains by adding simple custom CSS code. If you need our help please feel free to contact us later.

And this plugin is compatible with Elementor.

Thanks!

Nice, Thank you very much!

I bought the plugin and would like to ask a question about the Ending Animation:

The “split and reveal vertically” option has divided into two parts of background in 50% and 50% proportion, I would like to change to 40% on left and 60% on right side. I can’t found any related css to make it changes, could you indicate how to make it? thanks a lot.

http://xj6.d66.myftpupload.com

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us. Please add the following custom CSS code to change the proportion:

#loftloader-wrapper.end-split-h .loader-bg:before {
    width: 40%;
}

#loftloader-wrapper.end-split-h .loader-bg:after {
    width: 60%;
}

Please check this screenshot as reference: https://d.pr/free/i/OGRNG5 .

Best regards,

The Loft.Ocean Team

thanks very much, it works.

No worries. Glad to hear that! :)
