I do have another issue though;

WHen a visitor opens the booking page and clicks “Next” there is a delay of >45 seconds before the page loads – I’m assuming as the Google Calendar is checked.

Is there any way to reduce this?

I’ve tried not caching and with all other plugins off – also increase WP memory to 64M, with no change.

I have a website hooked up to a Google calendar – all works fine, apart from Bookly appears to be subtracting 1 hour from the times pulled from the G Cal.

E.g time slot free in G Cal 9-10am. Bookly shows time available as 8-9am.

Wordpress is set to “Brisbane” Server is set to “Brisbane” Google Cal is set to “Brisbane” Client (Linux) set to “Brisbane”

All times checked and correct.

It works correctly when I add “Display available time slots in client’s time zone” but I wanted to avoid that in case of badly set up clients.

Actually the customer can live with that, so don’t worry about it.

  1. Yes, staff members can log in to their accounts, view they calendar and create/edit/delete their appointments.
  2. This option is available for admin user only (except appointments, they can be modified by staff members).
  3. You have the possibility to export the list of bookings made by customers but for the whole company (This option is available for admin user). Unfortunately, there is no option to export for a specific staff member.
  4. Please clarify the question.

ABout 4… I meant that when a provider/staff enters the platform can only see his details (appotinmetns etc) and not other staf/providers?

Hi, I am very interested in buying this product.

Can we change any of the source code when we purchase it? There are a couple of things that I would like to change: - instead of the customer having to search by date, select the days and select the times, can I set those fields to “hidden” and just search by the date? - Can we change the text of the button “Next” on the first step of booking process to “View Available Times” or something like that?

  1. Yes, we do offer some plugin customization for additional cost. You just need to send us an e-mail to support@ladela.com with the description of your inquiry and we will let you know what is possible to do.
  2. It is possible to hide the whole ‘I’m available on block’ when adding the booking form shortcode. In this case, after clicking ‘Next’, your customer(s) will be forwarded to the timeslot selection step.
  3. Actually, it is possible to change text on the “Next” button via POedit tool through .po/.mo files.

One more question – if a staff member adds an event to their own diary through Gmail (not with Bookly). should the events that were added by the individual come through on Bookly? When I look at the staff member calendar, I cannot see the personal events that the staff member has added?

Yes, they should appear in the calendar.

Staff members can add (manually create) appointments from their own calendar in Bookly. For that they need to have WP user with any other role except admin.

In Bookly any staff members calendar can be synchronized with his own Google Calendar.

Hi, one question: I need a plugin just to book a visit to my place. I don’t need the payment, service, category and employee. I want a simple form so the client choose the day, fill their info and done! Can I take off the fileds I don’t want to use?

  1. You can remove the payment step from the Booking form by disabling all the payment methods.
  2. You can hide the unwanted fields from the firs step (like service, category and employee) when adding booking form shortcode to the page.
  3. The only thing, you need to specify the length of service(s) which can be up to 12 hours.

Hi Ladela team,

I’m having a problem syncing the calendar with Google.

I have checked already the secret code and there are no blank spaces, but I’m getting the error “Calendar ID is not valid.” when trying to sync a calendar.

This is what I’m doing:

1) Login as admin, went to settings and follow all the steps to put the secret id, etc. All seems working fine.

2) I go to the staff member page, click connect on calendar and accept from my google account. Basically I’m logged as admin on WP and logged with admin email in Google.

3) Fill in the calendar id from staff google calendar.

Then I got the error message. What am I doing wrong? Does there staff member need to share their calendar with me before? I have also tried to have the staff member share their calendar with my admin account and still got the same error message…

Please try the following:
  1. Go to your Developer console for the application. Consent screen make sure product name and email are filled in.
  2. In developer console go to APIs and check if Gmail-API and google+ API enabled.
  3. Please check again if there is no trailing whitespace because this is most common issue for this error.

We have fixed the problem. Enabled the recommended APIs and also created a new secret key fixed the issue. If other are having the same problem, please follow those steps.

But now I’m having another problem:

I have set up all correctly, sync calendar for a test account, and tested creating events on calendar, syncs fine. Wordpress time is set to Madrid, Spain.

When testing customers from different time zones: Europe zones, all fine, time slots appears right and sync calendar is fine, Asia zones, all fine but I see the “start from, “finish by” have changed according to the time zone (i.e. customer can’t select start from less than certain time). Because the times are taken from opening hours. So, I would like it to show always a reasonable time as 10 am to 10 p.m, but even if has changed, it still works.

The problem is when I try to access from a US time zone, behind Europe time zone. Then the “start from” and “finish by” drop menus show only one time repeatedly “5:00 pm, 5:00 p.m, 5:00 p.m, and so on” if I just click next the times are shown fine, but this will be confusing for customers…

1) Why is this happening and how can I solve it?

2) Is not possible to show a reasonable time for everyone as “start from 9 am to 9 pm” and then the system sync with time zone, calendar, etc.?

I hope we can solve this as all the rest is working just perfectly fine and it’s a great plugin!

Hi! I use the Bookly Plugin and I want to track all User at the 5th Step of the booking process with google (for Marketing). I want to see how many People goes to the 5th step but dont book my Service and go away.

Where must I put the Google Tracking Code for this 5th Step of the booking process?

Unfortunately, there is no such option in Bookly at the moment. Therefore, you may set a URL of a page that the user will be forwarded to after successful booking. (Please navigate to Settings -> General -> Final step URL).

I dont want to see in Google, how many Users booked our Service because we can see it via Email or Bookly. I want to see how many Users was on Step 5 but dont paid because the dont want it. I want to know, how many Users check our booking plattform and than I can calculate, how many users booked (I want the difference of Users on bookly and Users who booked).

We have a little issue. As we have booked nearly month from now on. When customer goes and tries to see available dates, calendar only shows 2 days and customer cant even change month?

We’ve managed to check your page and it seems to work fine. The timeslots are displayed correctly. To allow customer to select a month, you just need to enable the ‘I’m available on or after’ block when adding the booking form shortcode.

Would you recommend this booking if you only wanted to book for 5 days? So service is available for 5 specific days, then unavailable.

Unfortunately, there is no temporary services option in Bookly at the moment. Therefore, you may specify this on your web site and remove services (or change them) after 5 days.

In regards to the calendar sync with google calendar, is each staff able to connect to their own google calendar login?? Or can it only sync to the one calendar??

Yes, you can make Google Calendar integration for each staff member. Please check this in Staff Members -> Details (for the required staff member) -> Google Calendar integration.

One more question, Is there any particular reason why one staff member when selected loads quickly (obviously there calendar has less data currently) from step one, while another is quite slow and by slow I mean I’ve had it continuously try to load from the first step for a few hours… I thought it may have needed to load a lot of information first time around (for availability from their current google calendar)...

hey, got a little problem: the drop down menu shows a categpry uncategorized, but i can’t find this entry, i have only one service “rent” where are the categories? and is it possible to set one service as standard, so that the customer doesn´t have to pull down?

second I translated the german .mo file, but it doesn`t work. wp is german, bat some bookly wording is still in english. at appearance i translated the german words but some like Mon Tue odr next etc. should be in german too.

  1. You can hide the category field and set the default value for it when you insert the shortcode. In the popup form select a default value for that field and tick ”Hide this field”.
  2. Bookly is completely translatable via POedit tool. There is a .po file that you need to translate with Poedit http://poedit.net (languages/ab-de_DE.po). Make sure you generate a .mo file when you finish (Poedit generates it automatically on save).

hi, thanks. 1. works fine. 2. the poedit doesn’t compile the .mo file because there is an error, in german: mehrfachdefiniton (multidefinition?) so that the file could not be written. any idea?

Unfortunately, recurring events are not supported by Bookly. Therefore, you may allow customer to book appointments for one day and then manually add next events in your calendar.

I recently purchased your plugin – its a great looking plugin. unfortunately i am having a few problems getting the time slots to show… would you be able to shed some light. When I get to the time selection it keeps telling me that there is “No time is available for selected criteria.”

Also will there be any opportunity to have editable time slots – for example my client is looking for a time shot of 1.5hrs with a half out break. It does not appear that there is the ability to do this at the moment? Also keen to find out more about additional customisation to the system for my specific clients requirements.

Hello. I have buy this plugin. I am woondering if it is possabole to have double service time like from 9:00 to 11:00 and agen from 17:00 to 22:00 Is that possabole?

Bookly plugin can be completely translated via POedit tool (http://poedit.net/). You can find ‘languages’ folder with .po/.mo files inside the plugin.

Hi, Enough… Nothing works anymore. 2-3 updates, then services disappeared, staff, everything. Now can’t even add anything, clicking button, adding and adding then it’s gone when I go to another page. Also plugins or function hack for parsing javascript makes your plugin useless. Refund please. Tahnx

Is it possible to disable the online payment feature during the booking process? We’d like to take advantage of the online appointment scheduling feature.

Is it possible to assign an invoice to a specific customer, so they can pay an amount that’s specific to their needs/prices? My client needs to invoice on a per client basis instead of a pre-set amount.
