How can I change the language on the word: email de tu amigo TO email de tu amiga?
You need a program called POEdit (free) and you need to edit the respective language file inside the /languages/ folder. It is really easy.
I just bought the plugin and am having the same missing attachment message in the email others have reported. I think I must be missing something really basic. What do you mean when you say just uploaded for an image, not insert it? I create a page in WP, then I insert one of my cartoons from my WP media library on the page. And I include the shortcode [ecard]. Everything works – but no image in the email, and I get the missing attachment message in the email. I’ve also reviewed all of the plugin settings. What am I doing wrong? Here’s my page – http://thewoodchips.com/ecard-test-page.
“then I insert one of my cartoons from my WP media library ” – no, you need to upload that image to your post, not from your library. The plugin picks up any uploaded/attached images, not the ones from the library. Hope that helps.
Hello! I bought your plugin today and was wondering about 2 things:
1.Can I use the custom url to redirect a card pickup to JUST the attachment and not the post? If this is possible, could you tell me very simply how to do that? If it is not possible, could you tell me what a “custom URL” is and how to utilize it? I’ve read through the comments but didn’t find anything on this.
2. I’m trying to use the input fields you’ve included such as: {Additional text} or the {eCard (custom) URL} in the body of the e-mail, but I think I’m missing something and not using these correctly. Is there a closing bracket that goes somewhere? I am not a programmer, so could you type an actual string or code block just the way it should be written? For instance, if I was wanting to add additional text to the email body, how would I use the {Additional text} input field in the body of the e-mail? If I wanted to say “This card comes to you from Pixelberrypie.com” (just an example.) I’m just not sure how to fully use the input fields and all the options you’ve taken the time to give us. If you could paste an example word for word, I would understand. Thank you so much! I love the plugin so far! (I won’t forget to rate it!)
1. No, you can’t, the eCard system is tied to WordPress posts. The custom URL is an external link to a landing page, or a special page or another site.
2. The input fields {text} are not supposed to be dynamically replaced. There is much confusion about this, and I’ll probably change it. They only show you where the respective texts will be placed, and how the email is structured.
Hi, I love the plugin, but it’s not showing the sender’s email in the message. I have checked my settings, and everything looks correct. What should I do?
Hi. You should tell me if you’re using other plugins, you should give me a link to your eCards page, you should deactivate all other plugins and see if it works.
I figured it out. I was customizing the email sender’s address, and it does then not show who it is sent from. I love your plugins, and they are some of the best I have seen in a long time. Thanks!
Thank you! Don’t forget to rate it!
Hi, I love the plugin, but it’s not showing the sender’s email in the message. I have checked my settings, and everything looks correct. What should I do?
Give me a link so I can check it myself.
Hi,
I am not comfortable in using this plugin, I am not getting the look and feel as you have shown in your sample link. You can check the functionality at – http://www.miraclecenter.org/wp/services/create-and-send-e-card/As mentioned I have first created a page in wordpress and then applied the shortcode [ecard] to it. I am still not sure how to get the images for ecard. After so many hit and trials I have placed the images on the page (http://www.miraclecenter.org/wp/services/create-and-send-e-card/). Please help me in applying this plugin by explaining the ste by step procedure as it is not clear there in the plugin description.
Thanks,
Mohit
The ecard i sent not reach the inbox, why? But there was no error?
Did you try the SPAM folder? Do you have a link?
Hi,
Just purchased your plugin and have installed it successfully. Though, can’t figure out how to add images which the users can see as thumbnails with option buttons to be selected from while sending the e-card.
I tried doing it as post and page and tried attaching media files as have been recommended, but it is not showing up.
Thanks, Adam
You need to upload images to your eCard post/page (not via Media Gallery) and that’s all. The plugin should detect the images automatically. If you still can’t add the images, contact me via email, and I’ll help you fix it.
I really need your help to set it up in my website as you have done in the demo version
Check your mail.
Checked the demo, seems great. One question, is there a way of getting the system to allow direct upload of an ecard rather than dropbox additions? Would it be a quick fix?
There is already an option to do this, but it’s not active on my demo site.
Ok, I did not see it listed in the features. So someone can upload their own Image and send that instead of the dropbox. If this is the case i will download the package
So I have purchased the package and installed it into the standard install and the images are not showing up. I tried adding them to a post and a page. The form to send e-card is there but the images are not. Followed the instructions and still no joy
Did you try with the default theme? Or the other plugins deactivated? If it still not works, contact me via email and I’ll help you fix it.
Hi Bud, just curious if you managed to get the work around for the display images/upload own to work together?
It’s done! Check your email.
This looks like a really useful app, perfect for what I’m looking for.
In the screenshots and demos, I’m not seeing if/how my Wordpress site will differentiate between a “gallery” and the ecards. Does this plugin replace the gallery, or does it add the extra option?
Thanks!
It’s not related to the gallery. The plugin lists all attached images and allows for sending each of them to an email recipient along with a custom message.
So, I’ll have the option of turning it on for each individual article, right? I just want to make sure that the images I upload for a normal article will remain the same, while the ecards will be saved for just a handful of pages.
Also, thanks for the prompt reply!!
Of course. Only the posts/pages with the [ecard] shortcode will have the images displayed automatically.
Hello. I would like to use this plugin for Posts to be sent as eCards. When they send the eCard will they see the attached image in the email and will they also see the article content that is included from the post? It is important to see this article text as it conveys the story of the eCard picture.
Also, is it possible to use SMTP mail server for sending? Would this help to reduce the chance of the eCard going to spam if sent from my SMTP?
Thank you for answering. Gary
Gary
Hello Gary. The first request is possible, but it’s not implemented yet. It will be in the next version.
Regarding the SMTP sending, the plugin uses the wp_mail() function. If you use any override plugin that sends wp_mail() to SMTP, then yes, it’s possible.
Thank you for responding. Our site is not live yet and this would be great to implement to it before opening the site to the public. I plan to purchase your plugin. When is the update for this scheduled? Is it within 2 weeks? Thank you again . Gary
Yes, it is within 2 weeks.
Thank you. Appreciate your work. Gary
Another question: If I choose to “insert” the picture in the post, will this pose a problem as your plugin does not require it to be inserted? If I do insert the picture will there be two of the same images appearing on the page? I ask this because I assume your plugin uses a shortcode to be placed on the page or post to show the uploaded images that can be sent as an ecard. I use the “featured image” to make the image display as a thumbnail in my post archive as well. Thanks for helping with these pre-purchase questions. Gary.
If you insert one image into the post, and attach 7 more, one of them will be doubled. I suggest you either “insert one” image or “attach two or more”. You are welcome.
Thank you for the reply. So essentially, this plugin will send a page link to where they can view the post with the image? How would this be any different from a share plugin that shares the page via email? Just trying to understand if this will fit my needs perfectly. I also thank you for adding the feature of including the image and post content in the email. I’ll be looking for the update. Gary
No, no, no. It sends the image via email. Did you try the demo on my page?
Sorry…I didn’t see the images because gmail had it hidden.
1.) Can the option be made to embed the image so it is not missed by others?
2.) I think if I understood you correctly that with your upcoming update it will be possible to see the post content in the email as it is sent? Correct?
3.) Will this soon coming update include the option to place a link to the article post that the ecard was sent from? I see that at this time your plugin only offers a fixed “custom url” with the ecard sending.
4.) And the paypal option is only seen by guests? Correct? So I can make a membership plan on my site for registered users.
Excellent support..thank you. Gary

1. This is an email client feature and it cannot be overriden.
2. Yes. The update, 2.0.6, is currently processing and it should be available tomorrow.
3. There is an option already. There are five such options, in fact:
/*
1. Hide eCard inside email message (show link to source)
2. Show eCard inside email message (show link to source)
3. Show eCard inside email message (hide link to source)
4. Hide both eCard and link to source
5. Show custom link
*/
4. Correct. Only guests see the PayPal button, registered members skip it. You can use other membership plugins to create paid plans.
Perfect. Thank you! Gary
Would be better if you could post to your Facebook wall. Planned for new version?
I will think about that.
Could you elaborate on that? Wouldn’t a simple sharing button suffice?
Was referring to image posts – so the full picture is sent to your album for friends to see.
That would be a separate Facebook application, not a WordPress plugin, so the answer is no.
Another question, how to remove completly the thumbnails?
The plugin is supposed to send an eCard, which is an image. If you want to completely remove them, do not attach any image to your post/page.
The way my theme is done, i need to add a thumbnail images (to show in category archive page). I don’t want to use “noselect” in alt tag for images for seo purpose. So any solution to fix that?
What exactly do you want to use the plugin for? It needs an image in order to function correctly.
What i need is an option to turn off the attached images gallery!!!
I’ll look into it and add a shortcode parameter tomorrow.
hi, Have you update the plugin with the new shortcode parameter?
Version 2.0.6 has a new option. When the new version is updated on CodeCanyon, go to the “eCards Email Options” tab, open the “Dropbox/User Upload” dropdown and select the last option, “Disable upload and hide all eCards”. This option will hide all attached images. It will still display any inserted images, as this is a WordPress feature. Hope that helps!
Hi, Is there a way to embed videos in posts from youtube for example?
You want to send Youtube videos via email? The plugin only works with images.
Hi, works really “out of the box” Thanks
You’re welcome!
Hi! Sorry to bug you – but I can’t seem to figure out the paypal set up. I’ve added the shortcode to this page: http://foffonline.com/browse-cards/ – but now you can’t see the cards. How do I display the cards – so that people know what they want before purchasing? THANK YOU
I can’t see your example page, it’s asking me for a password. Also, I think I know what your problem is. Give me a day, and I’ll try to fix it.
OH! Ok – no problem sorry! I forgot. It’s just foffonline
An update will be available in a day or two. Stay tuned.
Hi there! Just checking if there has been an update for this? Thanks so much!
Not yet, the code needs to be heavily rewritten to allow for a new function I’ve been developing. Please allow 2 more days to finish.
I will update a patched release in an hour, please keep me posted.
Hi! I am having the same problem as drman. There is no radio box to select the image to send. Sent an e-mail and there is no image attached. Tried several things, no luck.
Did you attach the images to that page? Or selected them from the media library? You need to attach/upload them directly in your eCard page (or post).
Thanks for the quick reply! Ok, I see it requires 2 images to work. But it duplicates the images. Is it supposed to do that?
You don’t need to insert the images, just upload them. The plugin does the rest.
Wow! Great support! Ok I got it!
I purchased this plugin for my website, and the images are no long lined up. Is there any way it can be fixed or if somehow I can fix it? You can see what I mean by going to sustainablesanantonio.com/media/send-e-cards/
The problem lies in your WordPress configuration. Your thumbnails are not properly generated or not properly set up. They are not cropped. Check your Settings -> Media options.

Did you correctly attach an image to your eCard post (or page)?
yes…pls have a look at the backend..
link: http://st-andrews-hospice-ecard.com/ username: demo password: demo
I don’t see any eCard page, so I have created a new page, called Demo Page – http://st-andrews-hospice-ecard.com/?page_id=1368 – I have attached 2 images and added the shortcode.
thank you for your help… sorry, few things to be clearer
1. I have just sent a dummy email/ecard that youy created..No pic or link is in the email..it states, no link or image provided:
You have received an eCard from
saif (nahid079@hotmail.com)! test 1
2. How did you manage to get 2 pics under demo page? cant see any coding. The two pics are almost attach with each other. I would prefer them to have space in between.
3. My plan: People will choose their card from (pls see “send a card” page not “choose a card” – choose a card page will be deleted… pls visit – http://st-andrews-hospice-ecard.com/?page_id=1275
and then they will click on one of the images, which will take them to that card’s page: http://st-andrews-hospice-ecard.com/?page_id=1335people will send the card. and recipient will just received an email with the page’s link by stating -
You have received an eCard from
saif (nahid079@hotmail.com)! test 1
Please click here to view your card – (then the link)
4. How do you send the same card to different people at the same time? Can I add 1-2 more email boxes?
You help is very much appreciated…
Hello nahid,
1. Maybe you have hidden images inside your email client. It happens with Gmail and Hotmail, there should be a link with “Show images”.
2. I have uploaded the images to that page. Just uploaded, not inserted them into page. They appear one next to each other. Styling should be done by you via CSS.
3. The “eCards Email Options” tab inside plugin options has a dropdown with “Show eCard [...]”. Try to change those values to the one you want.
4. You separate the mails with comma: email1@domain.com,email2@domain.com,email3@domain.com
thanks for your email…
still problem persists…
I deleted you plugin and managed to get a free plugin called wp-tell-a-friend which does what your one should be doing…
Your Customer Service is World Class but product is not that good…wasted my $12…anyway, its only $12…
hopefully, your next version will be better than what you offer now…
please try now for a sample, you may sell a lot more, if you have what it offers: http://st-andrews-hospice-ecard.com/?page_id=1335
I’m sorry for this, maybe you should play more with my plugin, now that you’ve bought it, and maybe you’ll understand all functions and how it works. Thank you, anyway!
