Hi! I hope you could help.. I installed, add the flickr App Key. I also have a user added. When I created a page, open the shortcode editor to refresh the flickr user to load the image I got this message:
You don’t have any resource on Flickr that this plugin could load!
I googled to find out if there was any help on this but I couldn’t find anything. Could you help?

This page should load over 100 images from a Flickr set but its only loading the set amount although I enabled the load more option.

It could be that you incidentally set 25 as load more limit? Because there is also a default limit of 25 if you don’t set anything else as the ‘limit’ attribute of the General settings tab. This is to keep Flickr and your Flickr API access from unnecessary amount of stress. However, you can just enter limit=0 or limit=500 they should do the same thing. The load more feature assumes you have more than the load more limit as the total number of images. Keep load more limit 25, but enter limit=0 or limit=500 on the general tab and it should work. The 500 is the upper limit is imposed by Flickr.

Yes, NextGEN gallery can do that and you can show the NextGEN pics with my plugin. JIG in itself can’t do watermarks as it’s not for managing pics, but for displaying them.
Hi, me again. With the change to Jetpack, my gallery page – http://pxpfoto.com/galleries – which used to be at 200 pixels in height which made for 3 perfect rows (all same height, each row exactly the same width) is no longer lining up the way it used to. I had to change the row height to something like 100 pixels to get them to line up so now there are two rows and they are different widths. Anything I can do to make them line up like I used to have them? That would be 3 rows all exactly the same width and 200 pixels high.
I don’t understand how Jetpack has messed that up. Didn’t you add a new gallery by any chance?
But I’d do it like this: set row height to 200 and then adjust height deviation in steps of 5 or 20 until there is a result you like. May decrease row height at the same time if some images get too big. If you want all your images to be the same height then you can play with the thumbnail spacing value. If I remember correctly, the thumbs had more spacing the last time, no?

So, I’ve been fooling around with my gallery page trying to get it aligned properly. Now for some reason the album that I’m pointing to (galleries) is showing just one of my galleries (Easter). I checked the justified shortcode and it is pointing to the Nextgen album properly but it’s showing the wrong thing. Help!
Never mind – I think it was a cache problem. Still can’t get them to align perfectly though and I’ve tried every combination.
And I have one more issue that I just realized- the gallery is not showing up in Internet Explorer. Seems to be fine in all other browsers. Any ideas?
Which gallery, can you send me a link? If you are using more than 32 stlyes in your page IE will not show more stlyes. What do you mean they don’t align perfectly.

Do you actually use mootools-core-yc.js, and if not, can you disable loading it? You could try disabling/removing/moving it temporarily to see if that error stopped my plugin’s script from executing.

First, yes the galleries are http://pxpfoto.com/galleries are the same height. But the rows used to be both the same height and the same length. Now the rows are different lengths. I would prefer them to be uniform, if that’s possible. I know they used to be, don’t know why this changed.
IE bugs – I disabled W3C plugin and the pro slider plugin and clicky and I still don’t see the galleries in IE. Any other ideas?
I’ve checked with other browsers and it appears good everywhere except IE9 and IE10. In IE7 and IE8 it works. On the latter two, this error doesn’t show, buton on the newer two it does.

It’s MooTools 1.2.5, a conflicting JS library. Usually it’s fine but in this case it’s not. It’s also old, so try updating that file.

This can be countered with the mobile specific settings, to avoid hover effects on mobile so only one click is necessary.

Just re-sent. Also, I deleted the plugin pro slider (and also deactivated clicky and W3C) but the problem did not go away so I’m assuming that file is still there causing a problem. I’ll check and replace it and will backup first to be sure. Just sent you another email re the admin account.

Re Firefox, the gallery is still showing up differently than in any other browser – it’s not uniform. I have tried re-booting, re-fresching, looking at if from other computers, on a mac and on a pc in 2 different locations and the result is the same. I can upload a screen grab it it helps. Other ideas?

Just bought the plugin and have run into two problems…
1. The grids aren’t showing. I’ve checked timthumb permissions etc, but the grid does show when I switch to the twenty ten default theme. I’ve also tried putting the grid into a div with defined width. The divs for the thumbnails are generated, just not the images. An example can be seen here: http://henrypatton.org/jig-gallery. Am using cloudflare if relevant?
2. I’ve also tried to insert a grid of my flickr photos, but when I use the shortcode builder and click on my username it brings the error message “You don’t have any resource on Flickr that this plugin could load!”. All my photos are public so not sure what I need to do from here?

1. Your theme or another plugin is conflicting with my plugin, as it wraps images in my grid into .imgHentry divs. Add this to your custom CSS or somewhere applicable:

2. Try entering your NSID. In some cases when you add your username it could end up fetching from another user because usernames are not that unique on Flickr. I know a user who has a different screen name and a different user name, and if you enter a screen name that could be another user’s user name . E.g. My yahoo id is fiirsh because firsh was taken but I can use firsh as on flickr. Try with NSID: http://www.flickr.com/services/api/explore/?method=flickr.people.getInfo under useful values on the right. If it’s still not working, contact me from my profile.

Firsh me again, im sorry to disturb you but I have a compatibility issue with the plug in i really hope you could figure this one out. Once its enabled all the other sliders from the main page of my site stopped working,

Seems to me that the theme is old. jQuery JavaScript Library v1.4.2 This is ancient. What happens if you choose the load the one bundled with the plugin?
Please set it so that JIG works, but the sliders crash. Then I can see what’s wrong with them and the new jQuery.
you are right this theme was bought on 2011, and the developer never updated after that. I’ve activated your plug in and seted up to work with the jQuery source bundled with the plug in and my main page stopped working with the sliders, :/
Yes the theme is comfortable with the old jQuery, but my plugin requires at least 1.7. Right now this error is on your site: “TypeError: $target.offset(...) is undefined” but I think there will be many more because some functions were removed from, not just added to jQuery. Even if your sliders are new, some code in your theme makes it incompatible with new scripts. If you find and hire a freelancer they can definitely find these problems. I don’t use it but there is a jquery script called modernize that may be applicable to your case.
I’ll look at if I can add 5th setting to only change jQuery settings on pages where my gallery is used for these situations.

The next version will include an option to set a width. In your scenario the element in which the gallery should appear is a floated element that has no width upon loading. For now, try putting the shortcode in a fixed width div. Or change your theme’s css to have 100% width defined on content elements.

My gallery will not load and says this: All of the images have failed to load.
This is most likely a TimThumb permissions error.
Go to the Justified Image Grid settings, TimThumb & CDN tab. Click check permissions then click 0755 or 0777 to see if that works (or do it manually on the files and folders it lists there in case chmod fails).
Also read the troubleshooting guide in the documentation on what else to do.

There is no fixed width for the individual thumbnails to make them look the same aspect ratio. But a width setting for the entire grid is coming in the next version.
Hi, i want to usee all preesets with Social gallery, i go to edit settings and change the lighybox to Social gallery, Click over “Save changes” and never saves it.

If you choose a preset in the shortcode, you also need to choose the lightbox there. As presets come with a lightbox defined for them. Also you can’t permanantly change the presets, they are just shortcuts to apply certain settings as a base.

Oh sorry it’s a bug you can’t select it currently but this will be fixed soon. In the meantime add lightbox=socialgallery manually to the shortcode.

I have latest versions and yes, the problem is that i have set up a speecific css selector (class or id) instead JIG this is because i want to use Socialgallery outside of JIG. There is no way to make social gallery active for all the presets by default? if not, it´s ok. Thanks
Please ask SG’s developer on how to combine the specific css selector with JIG mode. My plugin will only enable SG mode when you select it and SG is in JIG mode. So even though you could make a lightbox default, it won’t work if you are using a specific css selector. You can try adding .justified-image-grid to the selector of SG.
You can’t make a lightbox default for all presets.

1. My WP its ver 3.5.1 2. My cache folder has 777 permits 3. I have tried both methods of publishig like you said in your videos 4. I’ve changed the jQuery source in the plugin settings to each one of the 4 settings with the same result except for the default (that one doesnt shows anything.

I’m actually working on that to be achieveable. The tricky part is centering the text vertically. For the full cover effect you can set caption background to be transparent, but have an overlay. This will result in a full cover but the text will remain at the bottom.
This feature is coming in v1.4.9 confirmed.

Hi there, great plug in, it really works well and was just what I was looking for. I’m currently using this in conjunction with FooBox as suggested and have a few questions that hopefully could make things much easier for me.
I followed your video about how to make a gallery, that’s fine and it works. But, instead of selecting individual images through the add media page could I not just add a gallery that I had already made? Its for photography so you can imagine how many images I have, plus I had previously made a galley for each category.
secondly, If you go to my site and click gallery, you are shown a page with an image for each category, clicking on that take you to the specific gallery. Is it possible to have the first page as a justified grid gallery with gallery names as captions?
Any help would be appreciated.

Since the video I added an option to automatically take over [gallery] shortcodes you can one click activate it on all previous galleries. It’s on the general settings tab in the plugin’s settings.
Yes you can create a launcher page and link images to certain posts that have other galleries. You can do this automatically with nextgen, or if you prefer WP images this can be setup with recent posts feature. You’ll need to have a featured image set for each galleries.. The gallery name (post/page title) will show up as captions this way.

It doesn’t work with Facebok/Flickr/Nextgen (you can set up order for them outside my plugin). Random(shuffle) always works.

Hi! Haven’t chatted with you for a while as everything has been just fine until today. I had not checked my site for a couple of days. Just checked it now and none of my galleries are working. I tried updating the plugin, checked the timthumb/cdn issue and made sure files were read/write but nothing. The problem is in FireHost Website Protection they are blocking the URL to your images.

Unfortunately it seems to have screwed up my home page slideshow. Ugh. I know it’s not your app but do you have any ideas on how I could fix that?
It doesn’t look very screwed up, can you define what’s wrong there? I see a slider, should there be something else too?
Slider has been re-sized somehow, as have the headings (‘you deserve pictures you love’) – they are now all smaller. You can see that the words in the slideshow are a little ‘off’ because of the re-sizing.

Photon just serves the same images I think. You could try disabling all other services of Jetpack, except Photon.
Were the slide background images set to be 640px wide before Photon?
No they are set to be 710×462 – which is exactly what they were before the Photon install.
I’m guessing Photon can’t pick that up. Even though it could serve any size image. It’s resizing them to be 640 wide. Which would be something like the default ‘medium’ size, defined by WP. Definitely ask kreatura about this as Photon is getting popular as it’s a really good free service.

1 – I am using the W3 Total Cache plugin with Minify enabled. Everything was fine but yesterday the galleries didn’t show up any more. What setting s are the best?
2 – When I click on the images most of the time the Lightbox pups up but sometimes its shows the Photoswipe option on my Mac (Safari and Chrome). How can avoid this from happening?

1. Add jquery.prettyphoto.custom-min.js to the exceptions. I’m using w3tc too but I’m only minfying CSS. It’s only getting broken for me on older IE browsers if you overdo minifying.

http://rommenphotography.com1. Okay! I wasn’t so lucky with Avada theme and testing on IE7 shown errors so I had to turn off minify for more than just my gallery.
2. The best solution would be using FooBox that is good for both dekstop and mobile, so even if the mobiedetect script detects you as mobile user you’d still get the same thing on desktop since this lightbox can serve both: http://justifiedgrid.com/foobox/ if it fits the budget.
Anyway it won’t solve as to why the detection fails. Could it be that you have chosen photoswipe for desktop lightbox somewhere accidentally? Or perhaps you global settings have it as desktop lightbox, but you are using a preset in the shortcodes which overrides it. Then, in another instance you are not using a preset and the plugin falls back to the global setting.
Please check this page on that mac, to see which lightbox opens: http://justifiedgrid.com/wordpress-images/ It’s set up the same way, e.g. desktop: prettyphoto, mobiles: photoswipe. If it shows photoswipe for you on the mac, then it’s a bug in JIG or the detection script.
Or, try renaming and overwriting to this file in my plugin’s folder mobiledetect.php with the php from this: http://mobiledetect.net/ I’ll include the updated version in v1.4.9
