You can assign fees to all students at once by going to Fees Collection > Fees Master.Here, click on Assign/View Fees, then click on the Search button. Hello, Is it possible to add a new field in the student information where the payment method is stored (for example “SEPA Direct Debit”), and then add another dropdown under Fees Collection >> Collect Fees that filters students and only shows those with the payment method “SEPA Direct Debit”?
We have a school with about 200 students. For around 80% of them, the student fee is automatically collected from their bank account every month. It would be very time-consuming to manually search for all students with SEPA Direct Debit and mark each payment as paid one by one.
Is there a way to quickly mark the student fee as paid for many students at the same time? Or is a feature like this perhaps planned for the next update?

Currently, Smart School does not provide an option to add custom fields in the student profile for payment methods (such as “SEPA Direct Debit”), and there is no filter in Fees Collection > Collect Fees based on such a field. At present, Smart School also does not include a built-in feature to bulk-mark monthly fees as paid for a specific group of students. Fees can only be collected individually student-wise or class/section-wise. If you require this functionality, it can be developed through customization as per your requirements.

Smart School is built on the PHP CodeIgniter framework, so any developer who has some experience in PHP CodeIgniter can easily customize Smart School. No, the Teacher/Admin app will not be released in the upcoming update. The next update is expected to include the Flutter-based Student & Parent app (Android + iOS) to support both platforms with a single code base.

1. Smart School already has support for Zoom and Google Meet live classes; those are available through separate Live Class Add-ons which can be integrated with Smart School. The “Branch Management” feature you mentioned is part of the Multi-Branch Addon (its an addon product which you have to purchase separately from codecanyon).
A branch means a separate school, campus, or institute under your main system.
As a Super Admin, you can manage multiple branches (for example, School 1, School 2, School 3, etc.) each having its own students, teachers, subjects, fees, and reports all independent from each other.
Each branch operates independently with its own URL, database, codebase, and user accounts (have separate logins for Admin, Teachers, Staff and Student). Smart School must be installed and activated separately for each branch. While the branches are linked under the Multi-branch setup, their code and databases remain separate, and uploads such as images and documents are stored locally for each branch.
This means School 1’s data is completely separate from School 2’s data, but you can still access and control everything from your main Super Admin (Home Branch) panel.
Example:
Main domain (Home Branch): smart-school.com
Branch 1: branch1.smart-school.com
Branch 2: branch2.smart-school.com
Each of these branches runs as its own school but is linked together under your main installation through the Multi-Branch Addon.

Smart School version 7.2 and the Flutter app are both under development. We expect to release the next Smart School update around December 2025 or January 2026. The Flutter app may release together with version 7.2 or slightly later, so we cannot confirm if both will launch at the same time right now.

Unfortunately, a message queue system is not currently available in Smart School for SMS delivery. We do have plans to introduce queue-based processing in future updates to help ensure notifications and bulk messaging function more efficiently under high user load.

There is an absent attendance notification option available in Smart School, so when you mark any student as absent in the Smart School Attendance module, an absent notification will be sent to the parents, but for this, your student absent notification will be enabled in your System Settings > Notification Setting, so if it is enabled in your Smart School, then after saving the attendance of the student, an absent attendance notification will be sent automatically. Student absent notification sent to students and parents when their attendance has been submitted. Also there is an Fee Submission notification option available in Smart School, so whenever fees are submitted by the student, a notification will be sent to the student and parent,
So if you enable any notifications from System Settings > Notification Settings and your email/SMS and cron have been configured properly in your Smart School, it will send notifications to students and parents automatically for notifications that you have enabled.
