Hello, please I got updated wrongly. I was told that the offline system is then work while that isn’t correct. My worker actually used the online version which is working fine and then mistook it for the offline.

After my successful installation I tried to set up the online exam and question bank which looked successful until I tried tempting the exam as a student that observed that student can’t access their online exam question because the “Start Button” wasn’t available. Please advise whether the script supports customization. For example, would I be able to add a custom/new payment gateway myself, or is this something that can only be done by you as the developer of the system?

Since this is an open-source system, any developer with CodeIgniter experience can handle customization or modifications to meet your needs. I want to know does this school management system also be hosted as a web application? So the frontend of the app can service as the school website while the e-portal can be navigated to from the website

Yes, the features you are asking about are basically divided into two parts:

Storefront / Front Side

This is the front-facing side that can be used online by customers/users. It works as the storefront interface where users can access and interact with the platform.

E-Portal / Backend Software

The E-Portal is the backend/admin software used for management and operational activities. This is where all the internal processes, configurations, and management functions are handled.

So, in simple terms:

The Storefront is for front-side online usage.

The E-Portal is the backend management software that operates and controls the system.

Both are connected and work together within the same ecosystem.

There are several important gaps in the current student reporting system that need urgent attention and improvement.

Firstly, the reports no longer include period-based details with subjects, which were available in the earlier version. This is a significant omission. Reports should display the full daily classroom schedule, including all subjects and attendance recorded for each subject. The absence of this information in the latest update reduces the usefulness and completeness of the reports.

In addition, the reporting functionality is currently very limited and requires the following improvements:

Reports must support filtering by date ranges for attendance and all other report types. At present, this capability is either missing or insufficient. There is a clear lack of flexible date-range selection (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly views), which is essential for meaningful analysis. Users should be able to customize reports by selecting which fields are mandatory and which are optional. The current reports are too rigid and do not provide enough choice. The system needs more flexible filtering options, allowing users to generate reports based on criteria such as full subject-wise attendance per student across custom date ranges (weekly, monthly, etc.).

Overall, the reporting system needs to be significantly enhanced to provide flexibility, completeness, and usability. The current limitations make it difficult to extract meaningful insights from the data.

We reviewed your concern regarding the reporting functionality and filtering options in the system.

First of all, we would like to highlight that the system already includes a very strong reporting module with around 62 different reports available across multiple sections, allowing users to access detailed information for almost every major activity in the system.

Regarding the date range filtering concern, date range filters are already available in most reports where such functionality is practically required and meaningful. For example, reports related to fees, biometric attendance logs, income, transactions, collections, and other time-based activities already support date-wise or period-wise filtering.

However, there are also some reports where date filtering does not make practical sense. For example, reports like Student Information reports are generally static information reports, where showing data based on a custom date range would not provide any meaningful difference in the output. Similarly, some reports are specifically designed for daily or fixed-period records only, so custom range filtering is intentionally not applied there.

We also could not clearly identify which exact report functionality you are referring to as “removed” or “changed” compared to the previous version. As long as your support period is active, you may also raise a support ticket with specific report names or screenshots so the team can verify the exact concern properly.

Additionally, the system already provides multiple filtering options in many reports based on different criteria such as attendance, fees, students, courses, sessions, periods, etc.

Still, we understand your requirement for more flexible filtering options, and we will definitely try to improve and add more advanced filters in future updates wherever feasible.

As you may already know, in software development it is quite common that after a product release, some bugs or unexpected issues are identified only when the software is used in different environments and use cases. This is a standard part of the software industry and not limited to our product only.

Our team continuously works on bug fixes, improvements, compatibility checks, testing and maintenance. For smaller issues, we provide hotfix patches whenever possible, and later all those fixes are included in upcoming product versions. Releasing a completely new version for every small fix is not practically possible because each update requires development, testing, documentation, and maintenance efforts.

We would also like to clarify that the product license purchased through CodeCanyon is lifetime valid for using the product itself and also you are getting lifetime free updates. However, adding new features, updating existing features, bug fixes and maintenance and providing ongoing support require continuous work from our development team.

in print section who did payment was not showing means the user used to make fee collection is now removed as it was there in previous version. also in print section office copy and student copy is not coming in one page as its coming in 2 pages instead of one

can we setup rules for pass and fail in examinations like We can mark a student pass even if he has failed 2 papers instead one 1 paper?

2. WhatsApp Integration: Does the system support sending fee reminders and notifications via Pakistani number WhatsApp? If yes, which WhatsApp API providers are supported, and is integration included or requires custom development?

3. SMS Integration: Does the system support Pakistani SMS notifications (e.g., fee reminders, attendance alerts)? Which SMS gateways are supported, particularly for Pakistan?

4. QR Code on Fee Voucher: Is it possible to generate and print a QR code on the fee voucher for PAYMENT PURPOSES?

5. FBR Digital Invoicing Integration (Pakistan Compliance): Does the system support integration with Pakistan’s FBR Digital Invoicing system for real-time reporting? 1. E-payment via Pakistani banking network (1Link): Currently, 1Link integration is not available in the system by default. However, payment gateways that support Pakistan (such as JazzCash) are available and can be checked in the demo to see the supported options.

If you specifically require 1Link integration, it can be implemented under customization.

2. WhatsApp payment reminders & notifications: Yes, the system supports WhatsApp messaging through our WhatsApp Add-on, which enables reminders and notifications.

We currently provide two providers:

Official Meta (WhatsApp Cloud API) Twilio

For Pakistan availability, pricing, and support, you will need to check directly with these providers, as this depends on their regional services. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm their country-specific availability.

3. SMS integration for Pakistan: Yes, the system supports SMS notifications (fee reminders, attendance alerts, etc.).

You can Use any supported SMS gateway as shown in the demo/documentation, or Integrate your local Pakistani SMS gateway via configuration or customization

4. QR code on fee voucher: Currently, QR code-based payment on fee vouchers is not available in the system. We may consider adding this feature in future updates based on demand.

5. Pakistan digital invoicing system integration: At present, this feature is not implemented in the system.

If required, it can be developed through customization. We may consider adding it in future updates if there is sufficient demand.

whats included in Extended License ?

Smart School Regular License allows you to use the system for a single school, branch, client, or end user only.

Smart School Extended License allows you to use the system for multiple or unlimited schools, branches, or clients as a single end product.

This is the main difference between the two licenses; apart from this, all other features and functionalities remain the same.

If you are a school owner and want to use Smart School for your own schools, we recommend purchasing a Regular License for each school.

However, if you are a company or service provider planning to deploy or sell Smart School to multiple clients or schools, then the Extended License is the better option. It allows you to provide the system to unlimited clients or schools as your offering.

Currently, this feature is not available by default in the system.

Some clients who had similar requirements have implemented it through customization, based on their specific business needs and market requirements.
