Hi, have the same problem: Since installing the latest update, where we have full width rows but the content is not stretched and instead centred with equal left and right margins, the content now appears left aligned to the page instead of centred.

Hello, We have received a few reports of this behavior occurring with some themes (particularly those that apply custom modifications to standard WPBakery rows). Our development team is actively investigating the issue to identify a consistent pattern so that it can be addressed soon. To assist us in resolving this efficiently, we’d appreciate it if you could submit a ticket via the Customer Center: https://support.wpbakery.com/ and include the temporary credentials of your WordPress setup in it.

I have I have more than 40 WPBakery licenses installed across various client websites. For some of these sites, I no longer have access, and their updates rely on automatic processes. The websites were sold and delivered as one-off projects, so it isn’t feasible to suddenly start charging clients for updating a single plugin through WordPress management. Furthermore, I would always have to manually deliver the update package to them.

Now there’s a security issue in WPBakery, and my clients are on their own. I hold you responsible if these websites get hacked. I am sure thousands of other users face the same issue. I understand the company needs revenue, but going back on your promises is not the right way to do it. And please, don’t suggest that updates can simply be downloaded manually anytime—this is not how the plugin was originally sold to us.

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns . We understand your frustration and the critical nature of security updates.

We want to clarify that WPBakery licenses sold through CodeCanyon always include lifetime use of the plugin, but automatic updates and premium support are covered for the period defined in your support package. Once the support period expires, updates must be handled manually by downloading the latest version from your CodeCanyon account or support.wpbakery.com and updating the sites directly.

We do understand that for agencies managing multiple client sites, this can be time-consuming. However, automatic updates rely on an active support period, which funds the secure delivery infrastructure and ongoing development. This is how we ensure stable, secure updates for everyone.

I have purchased 24 licenses with lifetime updates and suddenly I cannot get any updates on my client websites! What is going on? I’ve gotten updates for those licenses right along for years. I had to import them all to your website to hook up the licenses, and now you’re telling me I suddenly can’t get any more updates? This is not right. Please tell me how to get around this so my client websites can get updates again. (UPDATE: I see you changed things so we now have to MANUALLY update every site. That is utter bullshit and a huge burden on web developers.)

To enable automatic updates, access our support portal, AI tools, and other premium features, an active support subscription is required. You can always download and update the plugin manually at any time, as explained in the second method here: https://kb.wpbakery.com/docs/getting-started/update/

Thanks for letting everyone know you were going to do that. You couldn’t grandfather in the people who already got those auto updates and have been using them for years? Pretty shitty way to do it.

Since the last update, there is a weird issue that’s happening where in few pages this issue pops up https://prnt.sc/6Z6LED0rvnsb

The reaction to this is issue is that it stops showing page builder elements after a certain point in the backend editor. However, the shortcode builder elements in raw code format in classic editor, front end editor as well as live page still exists but refuses to show in the backend editor. Any solution to this?

I even tested on wordpress 2025 theme too and its the same problem

Please create a support ticket at support.wpbakery.com with your site credentials so we can check and help you with this. You need to log in to support.wpbakery.com with the email address using which the license was purchased.

Hi,

Every time a non-breaking space ( ) is added to any field in WPBakery Page Builder, it displays correctly on the frontend. However, upon editing and saving the page again, all non-breaking spaces are removed from all blocks on the page.

Steps to Reproduce:

- Add   to any WPBakery Page Builder field. - Save and view the page on the frontend to confirm it displays correctly. - Edit the page again and save it. - Observe that all   entries are removed.

The issue is consistent across all pages.

Could you please provide a solution to this issue?

Arlind

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

After further investigation, we noticed that TinyMCE provides a built-in solution for exactly this issue via the nonbreaking_wrap setting. When enabled, TinyMCE wraps non-breaking spaces in a , which preserves them through content parsing and manipulation.

Could you please clarify why WPBakery does not enable the nonbreaking_wrap option in its TinyMCE configuration?

This seems like a clean, native solution that would preserve layout intent without compromising editor stability.

Could you please use https://support.wpbakery.com/roadmap and submit this as an idea?

Hi,

I’ve submitted a feature request to WPBakery to preserve non-breaking spaces using TinyMCE’s nonbreaking_wrap option.

Thanks

There is a bug with your plugin in Firefox that adds extra non-breaking spaces / new lines ( ) to Text block editor box every time you re-open, edit or copy that block. You end up with extra lines in the text block all over the place.

This has been going on for several months but never used to happen.

Please administer a fix for this annoying bug.

Hello, We just tested the latest version of the plugin using Firefox, but were unable to encounter such a bug.

my account won’t allow me to submit tickets without buying more licenses, which I am not going to do. The issue is still happening in Firefox in Version 8.4.1

Hello, If the support tenure of your license has expired, you don’t need to purchase a new license. Instead, you can simply renew the support tenure from the Licenses section of your account.
An active support period provides several additional benefits, including access to auto-updates, AI tools, and direct support assistance.
While we’ve been unable to replicate the issue on our end, we’ve noted your report and added it to our monitoring list. We will monitor any future reports of it so that necessary action can be taken accordingly.

Hello, pre-purchase question: Can I use this plugin to design any website I want? Also, I have a website using WPBakery version 7.1, can I upgrade it to a newer version of WPBakery without destroying my website?

Yes, you can use WPBakery Page Builder to design virtually any type of website you want. However, please note that the regular license allows activation on one website at a time. If you plan to use it on multiple sites, you’ll need a separate license for each.

Regarding the upgrade: Updating WPBakery from version 7.1 to a newer version should not cause any issues as long as the plugin hasn’t been modified directly. However, we strongly recommend confirming this with your theme author before proceeding. If the theme developer has made custom changes to the WPBakery core files, those modifications will be lost during the update, which may impact your website’s layout or functionality.

I noticed something strange. On my wordpress website I use the WP Bakery editor. As admin I use it on pages and posts and on both I see the editor. Someone else has an editor role and does see the WP bakery editor on pages, but not on posts. In the role editor of wp bakery I have the editor also enabled on posts (for the editor role), but it still doesn’t show up.

I am considering to renew support. Before that as your support portal is not working I would like to know if its possible to use the plugin similar to divi page builder as I want to add featureed image and heading to the very top automatically not having to do it manually every time?

Hello, You can do this by creating a template with a single image element set to display the featured image via it’s image source. The heading can be displayed using custom heading element.
This template can then be set as a default template for the post type under: WPBakery Page Builder -> General Settings -> Default template for post types. This will ensure that the template’s content will be added by default to any new post that you create.

Not sure when this bug started, but when inserting inner rows the backend editor layout breaks a bit so the controls are pushed off to the side. I tested in the latest version of the plugin with the default wp theme: https://a.cl.ly/OAu1oOk0

Thanks!

We have identified this as a bug. It’s on our to-do list and will be fixed in a future release.

Is this plugin WCAG 2.1 compliant?

Hello, WPBakery Page Builder is not tested for full WCAG 2.1 compliance. The plugin is generally compliant in most areas. However, accessibility can vary depending on how the content is structured and which elements are used. There may be specific cases where certain elements do not fully meet WCAG 2.1 guidelines. If you come across any such issues, please don’t hesitate to submit a support ticket. Our team will be glad to look into it.

I would like to know why the look of the icons has been changed??? IT’S CRAP ! There is no longer any color to differentiate and it takes hours to find the icons that we use… Before it was very good, now I have to type video for example or image to find the icon…

Hello, The change in the appearance of element icons is part of a recent design update aimed at modernizing the overall interface and ensuring a more unified and accessible experience across all environments. This also aligns with the evolving WordPress ecosystem and helps maintain consistency with modern UI/UX standards.

It’s really crap, we don’t find our way around at all. Very confusing, we should have kept at least some colors

This is dishonesty at its best.

There seems to be a lot of complaints about the option of auto updating the plugin for the lifetime of the project being removed.

The response is very typical and it seems that you guys don’t get it.

Its not the fact that you now need to physically log into our account, download, it, delete the plugin on the website, install the new one and hope that everything is okay.

Most clients don’t know how to do this and telling them that a developer now needs to update plugins on their behalf is a let down as WordPress is supposed to be an easy to manage system, including all of its plugins, that’s not the main issue, the main issue is that you deliberately mislead people when you list it in the following way.

Regular$69/lifetime For use on a single site Free updates 1 Year Access to Support Plus

This says to me that I can buy this plugin and get free updates for the lifetime of the project, that’s great, though after you buy it and your 12 months pass, you then find out after building the site that the auto update which is native to WordPress and all plugins has been removed. That I find misleading and dishonest and we have stopped using it for all of our sites, its not the cost, its the dishonestly that gets us.

Good luck.

Hello, We value your feedback and understand your frustration. The license you purchased does include lifetime access to updates. You can always download the latest version from your account and manually update the plugin at no additional cost for the lifetime of the product. That promise remains unchanged and is something we stand by. The automatic update feature, along with other premium services like access to AI tools, direct support, and the template library, are tied to the support tenure, which is clearly outlined at the time of purchase. The free updates referenced in the pricing section refer to lifetime access to the plugin updates, whether automatic or manual. This ensures your site always has access to the latest version at no additional cost. If you prefer the convenience of automatic updates and wish to continue accessing them, you can do so by renewing the support tenure. This ensures uninterrupted access to automatic updates and related benefits.

Not sure if it’s a bug or a mistake, but the plugin files includes a “node_modules” folder under assets/lib/vendor, which is causing problems with site backups. Does not seem right to include “node_modules” in the final distribution!

Hello, Thanks for reporting it. Our development team has confirmed it as a bug, and it will be removed soon.

https://ruta.kache.es/ Good morning.

The mentioned web is asking for updates. I have duplicated it in a subdomain to control the process, and I wanted to consult, before renewing the license, how to check if it will not give problems. It currently has the following version: - WP Bakery Visual Composer 4.11.2.1 -> 6.9

Hello. I don’t have the active license yet, I can’t open a ticket from WPBakery (as I said, I would first want to know how the upgrade is going to behave). Tell me, please, what should I do. Thank you!

Hello, From your previous reply, we understand that there is an issue while accessing the editor. One possible cause can be a third-party theme/plugin conflict. This can be identified by deactivating the plugins one by one while keeping the page builder active. If the issue still continues to persist then it will require deeper investigation into it. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to locate its exact cause and hence suggest a solution, without actually debugging it further.

Hello, I have deactivated all the plugins and updated php to 8.1, I reactivated them without error. Also WP to 5.8 without problem. I seem to be able to edit the pages now. Thanks!!! (As a last problem, now it’s The7 that crashes when updating)
