I completely disagree with forcing people to manually download and install updates without paying for support.
Updates should always be available through the WordPress updates page inside the site with a valid license. One should not need to pay for support to have this feature.
Especially given the number of security related updates in this plugin. This is essentially a security risk.

Hello, The auto-update feature is provided as an added convenience for users with an active support tenure, alongside other benefits such as WPBakery AI, the font manager, template library, and direct support.
That said, the renewal of support tenure is completely optional and does not affect access to plugin updates. Lifetime updates remain available to all license holders and can always be applied manually, ensuring you never miss security or feature releases even without an active support package.
I installed WPBakery upgrade into Porto and Findall. Both themes would ot work. Please return my purchase price.

As a web developer, I've seen firsthand how WPBakery Page Builder has lost its way. It used to be a go-to tool, but now it's a perfect example of how a great product can be ruined by a flawed business model.
The core problem lies with the auto-updates. So many of us who bought themes with WPBakery included were locked out of receiving direct updates. This isn't just an inconvenience; it's a huge security risk. When developers fix vulnerabilities, users with "bundled" versions don't get the patch. Thousands of websites are left exposed to security threats.
This situation has burned me and countless other developers. The lack of control and the security issues mean I'll never use this plugin again for any new project. It's a clear case of greed killing a product. By prioritizing "inclusive" licenses that stop users from getting critical updates, WPBakery has completely alienated its most important customers.

All plugin updates are free for life and can always be accessed manually, even after the support period ends.
The latest upgrade caused certain pages to time out. We had to restore the entire site because we could not download the previous version of wpbakery without paying for support.
