Hello. Does this plugin also work with ACF Relationships and Repeaters. For example, I want to filter items that have a certain Relationship?
Hi vincentjongman
Thank you for your interest in the Filter Everything plugin.
Unfortunately, the filter does not work with repeater fields due to their dynamic structure. In a repeater, all subfields use dynamic meta keys like some_0_key, some_1_key, some_2_key, and so on.
While it’s technically possible to create filters using these keys, you won’t know in advance how many times the repeater will be used within a post or product.
Creating 10–20 potential filters to cover all possible cases is inefficient and not a scalable solution. Additionally, each would function as a separate filter, for example:
Repeater 1
term 1
term 2
Repeater 2
term 3
Repeater 3
term 4
In summary, while you can filter by custom fields created inside a group, the repeater field doesn’t work in a way that supports consistent filtering functionality. We are not even sure if there is any filtering plugin that is working with repeater fields.
As to the relationship fields, it is working with them.

Hi, this is my third ticket and this is just issue I have noticed today for the first time after testing plugin for several days and never had this issue. I selected categ Torbe (https://www.rotharo.com/katalog/) and I have total 14 items in this category. Then I clicked apply and all seems fine. Then I clicked page 2 of the options (pagination) and at that moment page 3,4 and 5 appears in pagination (I have to emphasize that I have 5 pages of ALL products and torbe(bags) on just 2 pages). Please lmk why is this happening because this is the biggest problem of all if plugin filters all products instead just torbe- like its not working anymore.
Hi Zabolemepatka
This is why we mentioned pagination in our initial response to your first request. The current pagination appears to work in a non-standard way, it does not apply any parameters to the URL and ignores the filtered query.
As a result, it simply displays the content that would normally appear on the second page without any filtering applied. We recommend using the default WordPress pagination for that.
Best Regards,
Victor
Hi, I am using your plugin, pro version with apply method option. What I need is that when customer choose all filters he/she wants and click apply button, all filters are collapsed (at this moment if you choose for ex 2 categories, 1 brand and one color and click apply, all 3 filters mentioned are fully opened with all options) and i want them just without anything becaus it takes too much space, confuses customers and instead results filtered takes too much space and results are below and you have to scroll down.
Hi Zabolemepatka
Perhaps the best option in this case would be to go to Filters > Settings > General and set a maximum height for the filter container. This will apply a scrollbar to the filter section, which could be a more effective solution than using the “more/less” or folding options. It will look something like this – https://prnt.sc/IOzKNGM0WbI7
Best Regards,
Victor
this what I said was my client request- if you try filtering in any website, when you choose options usually they fold back (all options become unvisible) especially on mobile- because takes to much space. In filter evrything pro- options stay the same as you choose them (which is really unnecessary because we have chips showing what we choose). So is there any other way after clicking apply button, for all options to become as on start https://www.rotharo.com/katalog all in one line- am using HORIZONTAL filters obviously.
The behavior you described is the default behavior of a standard dropdown (select) element, which is expected. However, since you’re using a custom solution to simulate dropdown functionality, it won’t behave the same way as the native dropdown.
What you can do is inspect the element that changes when you click to display the filter terms. Depending on whether the list is opened or closed, specific classes like .wpc-closed and .wpc-opened will be added or removed.
You can then write a custom JavaScript function to detect when a filter term is selected and automatically close the opened list by toggling these classes accordingly.
Best Regards,
Victor
ok, I will try something, but is it possible to do something easier (without js code written) at least for mobile and leave as is on desktop version.
Not really as the JS is the only option here. There is no other option to apply such functionality and change behavior.

Victor
Hi There, how do I translate the actual filters and also how come the numbers do not display on the filtered page?
Thanks
Hi ClintHendricks
Please check this page – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/with-wpml-polylang/
If you want to translate the filter terms, you have to translate their taxonomies, use specific custom fields to the required language, and so on.
In the filter set settings, there is this option for counters – https://prnt.sc/7KGvZ6Q-SbhA make sure that you choose the correct query in the “And what to filter”
Best Regards,
Victor
1 ) The counter shows on the english page but not on the translated page : (
Let me try and translate the taxonomies tho
Can you please send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check your setup in general, and on which pages you are trying to display translated and original language posts and filters.
Best Regards,
Victor
Hi Victor, I have sent credentials from the doc and in email : )
We placed the DE filter set on the required page (it was placed at “any page”) and now everything is working. Also, please note, that if you want translated filter terms, you need to translate those as well – https://prnt.sc/twxvgcvib-Dr

Hi Victor, i just wanted to thank you for sorting out the issue. All is good now on the filter : )
Hi ClintHendricks
We are happy to hear that everything is working.

Hi
Is there any possibility to show the filter set on multiple pages? Currently we can only select only one ‘where to filter’. I would like to use the same filters on a Category Archive page (created with Elementor) and on the shop page.
Thanks! Thomas
Hi Thomas
If they are using the same main query approach, then you can place your filter on “Common WordPress pages + All archive pages”.
But most likely they are using unique queries across all of the pages, so you have to create separate filter sets, for a shop page and all category pages. Or if the category pages are using the main query, you can set it as “Product categories + Any category”.
Currently, it is not possible to place the same filter set on multiple specific pages.
Best Regards,
Victor
Thanks again for the info. Can I request to add this to a backlog? It would be helpful as I’m using the plugin for different websites, where this would be helpful.
We can forward this to the development team for further review. However, technically speaking, if each page has a unique query, you would need to configure each page individually with the required query. This would result in a large list of hashed queries, and every time the system would need to loop through them to find the correct one for the active filter on the specific page.
Since all pages are using a single filter set, this approach could significantly reduce performance. This is why the best option is to use separate filter sets in such cases. Additionally, considering that the order or number of queries can change, this would require repeatedly reviewing and updating each configuration whenever any changes are made to the queries. Rather than doing so for the exact filter set on that page.
Best Regards,
Victor
Thx for the clarification!
Good afternoon. I’ve sent you login credentials and backed up, as requested. I look forward to your response.
Hi KormendyTrottVideos
We have checked the site and added a filter widget using Elementor (there was only a sorting widget). It is now working. However, your page has some issues and is not functioning correctly. Please check the errors in the browser console: https://prnt.sc/nImiY5lGFFJx
Make sure to resolve all errors to ensure proper functionality with AJAX filtering.

Hello, I have issue with sort by and cant make it to wrok for last few days. It is working as widget and is displayed on website properly, but prices from low to high and from high to low are all mixed up and no way truth. Please explain how to fix? My url is https://www.rotharo.com/katalog/ so you can try yourself. PS: I added sort by Meta key numeric and _price. I also tried with set filters Custom Field Numeric and _price, but also no luck. I would like most to have sort by widget though.
Hi Zabolemepatka
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
Does the price sorting is working correctly on the initial page? And doesn’t it work on other pages that come after it?
Best Regards,
Victor
hi, doesnt work at all, I have only sort by on katalog page. I want that to look exactly SAME as your demo https://demo.filtereverything.pro/product-category/clothing/women/color-red/brand-hm/c-kind-dress/?max_price=100 to say Sort by.. at first glance and same dropdown, border etc and then when i choose by price:low to high and by price:high to low- to work exactly as in your demo (mine if you test this shows weird low price low low and then suddenly boom one of the most expensive pieces- in my opinion it doesnt work at all and shows all my products by order set up in my backend)
Can you please send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it?
Best Regards,
Victor
yes, i will, and please check other issues with my username (total 3). i am using Neytiri woocommerce theme. Let me know if i should emphasize them all in one place
Let’s focus on one issue at a time, rather than trying to fix all three at once. Once we’ve resolved one issue, we can move on to the next, and so on. This approach will ensure more efficient support, rather than a chaotic attempt to address everything simultaneously.
Best Regards,
Victor
I have sent credentials
We created a test page here – yoursite.com/fe_support_test_page/ (just use your site URL to check it instead of yoursite.com) the sorting widget is working fine there by the price.
However we have checked what type of widget you are using to display products on the page, and it comes from the theme. With that weird pagination, you can make a request to their support team, to ask how you can use a default WP numerical pagination with the products widget, instead of what is there now.
Best Regards,
Victor
no it doesnt, please choose torbe as kategorija (first filter), and see price asc sort by its all mixed up and not just torbe (bags). And prices are low low high low high etc. Also please try to say no for pagination and also you will see that filters dont work, so it cant be only related to pagination?
And please is there any way to check selected categ faster- when you choose option it takes several seconds to actually check button and I am afraid customers will think its not working and they will drop selection.
Yeah, you’re right. However, it seems this issue is actually coming from another plugin. We ran several tests and even used a custom query, but the issue still persists. On our end, everything is working without any problems, which suggests the issue is likely caused by a plugin or custom code on your site.
We recommend fully deactivating all plugins and switching to a default WordPress theme. Then, activate only Elementor, the Code Snippets plugin (as it is used for the custom shotcode that we added), and WooCommerce. After that, test the issue again on the page we created, as it uses our custom shortcodes to display the products.
Every time you select a filter term, it updates the status of all other filters. This behavior cannot be disabled. To improve the speed of this process, upgrading to better server hardware is recommended.
Best Regards,
Victor
Now there is a bug with loading products. I assure you that your plugin worked few days ago, until i add sorting widget. Because I created first that and played with filters for 2 or day and everything worked. Will all scripts and neytri theme.
Hi, took me all day to prove that issue I am having is related to your sorting widget, not my theme/plugins. Here is the proof https://www.rotharo.com/katalog/, so you can test it- default sorting is working and your sorting is not. Even all theme features work with filters. Please test so you can see yourself and finaly figure out what is wrong with sorting widget. The question I am asking myself now is what did you test, why did you instal lso many plugins etc, when the point is evrything filters pro sorting is not working.
Hi Zabolemepatka
Thank you for providing the page with the default WooCommerce sorting widget. This is actually a very good example. Please check the same behavior here – https://prnt.sc/JhOWzlcNH4dp you can see the issue on this exact page – https://www.rotharo.com/katalog/page/2/?orderby=price
As you can see, the products are mixed and not sorted by price correctly, as they should be. So if this is a default WooCOmmerce sorting and it is not working correctly, then there is something more that is altering this state.
If by the loading bug, you are reffering to the speed of the loading products, it is connected to the site speed. Please check those results – https://prnt.sc/yDBkxn196C1f and how much time it takes to load the category page, without our filters on it.

Victor
I have a gallery of images and have set up three separate filters to help users find the images they need. All of the filters are designated as “0” in terms of heirarchy (I have also tried labeling them numberically 1, 2, 3 with the same results). The three filter sets seem to be interconnected but I would like them to behave independent of one another. When I select a topic in one of the filters (a filter set designed to display color attributes [green; yellow; orange; red] doesn’t yield the results expected. I’m always met with the same error message (Sorry, No Content Found). All three filter sets are designed the same way: An opening filter Color, with all the following filter entries only activated if Color is selected. Once this happens I have a list of other attributes I can apply to the initial filter. But everything choice leads to the same error message. Can you help?
Hi redengine
Does the pictures are separate CPT? Or they are the default WP attachment post type? Also, in order to filter them they should be displayed via WP_Query on the page.
Best Regards,
Victor
The images are the featured images taken from a CPT. The same CPT is used for all filter sets. Each filter set used a separate trigger to allow for sorting. The CPT is called “Metadata” and the filter sets are as follows “Images Show” [which images are we as a company permitted to show to clients]; “Software” [which software was used to create the image]; and, “Dataset” [which dataset is the image from]. Each of the three filter sets are meant to operate independent from one another. The filter sets should allow the user to sort by either “Images Show,” “Software,” or “Dataset”.
Hi redengine
Can you please send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it?
Best Regards,
Victor
I sent you a PM. Thanks for all your help.
We’ve checked the site and removed two other filter sets (placing them on the homepage) to prevent conflicts with the filters. Now, only the Software filter set is used on the Images page. Filtering is working correctly.
However, the pagination in this gallery isn’t functioning as expected, it’s ignoring the filtered query entirely. A better solution for a page focused only on displaying images with the link to the posts might be to use a custom WP_Query shortcode for your CPT, combined with WordPress’s default numerical pagination. This setup should ensure everything works smoothly without issues.
Best Regards,
Victor
Thank you. So it’s not possible to have more than one filter set? The client wants to be able to sort in various ways depending on their needs.
Richard
It is possible, but if you are using the same entities in 2-3 filter sets, they will act like one filter on the page.
So if there are 3 color filters: one with checkboxes, one with a select, and one with radio buttons, each will allow selecting only one attribute. As they all are working together as one entity, and if there is one filter set that does not allow selecting more than one filter, the rest will act in the same way.
If they use different entities like color1, color2, and color3 (separate taxonomies, custom fields) then they will act like separate ones.

Victor
Hi, I have a problem with the filter settings. I created a category and everything works correctly, but then when I want to insert a new filter always for product category it doesn’t let me insert it. I need to set a filter for wine cellars, a filter for the regions of the country that both correspond to product categories but I can’t figure out how to do it. Also in the url prefix field, for each filter I insert it automatically puts this quotwine_cellarsquot and I can’t change it. Could you help me?
Hi myfiestanalytics
You can create only one filter from one taxonomy. For example, if you have a “product category” taxonomy, only one filter can be created from it.
How to resolve the problem? Create multiple separate taxonomies, one for countries, one for cities, and so on. You can use this plugin to add custom taxonomies to your CPT/Products – https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/
Best Regards,
Victor
Hello, I’m still having trouble adding new categories to the filters. I was advised to use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-ui/ and that you can only create one filter from a taxonomy. For example, if you have a “product category” taxonomy, you can only create one filter from it. How can I solve this problem? Create multiple separate taxonomies, one for countries, one for cities, and so on. But how do I create new taxonomies? If I give you access, could you please check?
Hi myfiestanalytics
You can add a custom taxonomy like this: https://prnt.sc/zP4zcLHeaDDq just make sure you are using a unique slug for taxonomies. Instead of something basic like “category”, “tags”, “height” and so on. Use something like fe_prod_color, fe_prod_size, fe_prod_country, and so on.
Best Regards,
Victor
Okay, I’ve set “fe_prod_regioni” as the prefix, but now how do I get the various categories to appear within this taxonomy? I can’t figure out how it works.
You just go to the products and choose the freshly added taxonomy – https://prnt.sc/hnxTn_CNHRWj and create your categories there.
If you want the same behavior as the “products categories” rather than “tags” you can edit the freshly added taxonomy in the plugin and change this to the true: https://prnt.sc/K384Asya9aqa you have to edit this category in the plugin where you added it.

Victor

Dear FilterEverything Support Team,
We’ve encountered an issue with the plugin: all previously configured filters are no longer visible on the site. We had already entered and saved all filter settings, but now everything appears to be missing.
Could you please assist us in restoring the filters or advise us on what might have caused this issue?
Thank you in advance for your support.

Hi,
I’m using the paid version of the Filter Everything plugin on my WordPress eCommerce site, but I’m experiencing an issue — the filter does not appear on the page.
My goal is to filter cartons and boxes by Width, Length, and Height using custom fields. The page where I’m trying to implement the filter is built with Elementor using a loop post widget that filters by category. I also have separate category landing pages.
Please see below links and screenshots for reference.
Category landing page : https://packrite.mishacontent.com/product-category/packaging/cartons-boxes/?v=322b26af01d5)

Looking forward to your assistance.

Hi Yuliia
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
The pages that you send are product category taxonomy pages. In the “Where to filter” you have to choose “Product Category” + “Any Category(if Archive pages using the main query) or “Exact category name”(if each page uses a unique custom query”)
Best Regards,
Victor
Hi Viktor,
Thank you for your prompt response. I’ve tested the solution you suggested on a product category taxonomy page. I also tried selecting the specific page directly in the “Where to filter” field while using Elementor to build the landing page—but unfortunately, there’s still no result. Please let me know if there’s anything else I should try or check. Since All the integration seem to be correct.

Hi Yuliia
We have checked this page – https://packrite.mishacontent.com/cartoons-and-boxes/?v=322b26af01d5 and it is working, however, you need to find the reason why this addition is appearing on the site URL ?v=322b26af01d5 and remove it completely, as it is causing some issues with the filtering.

Big Thank you, Victor!
Hey there. I have created a new page with a loop grid, and I’ve made a filter set to work with it. It appears to detect it in the back-end as it allows me to add all of my filter criteria, select “Property query” from what to filter, but only the sorting field is present on the page. The page in question is https://kormendytrott.com/property-search/

I am using the SearchWP plugin for search and am running into a problem with the filters. When I do a search, the results page shows the filters with selections already made. I can’t completely clear the filters to show all posts because it’s stuck on the search term. The filters also do not appear to be affecting the results from the search. It’s almost as if the filters are filtering data that is not being presented.

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
It is important to keep in mind that the License key and CodeCanyon purchase code are two different things.
Please use incognito mode in your browser!!!
In order to set the License key for the Filter Everything PRO plugin, simply head to Filters -> Settings -> License and click the “Get your License Key” button.
It will take you to a new page where you have to log in with your Envato credentials (with an account where you have purchased the plugin) and obtain your License key.

Dear Stepasyuk,
I just purchased Filter Everything PRO with the expectation that I would be able to use range sliders to filter WooCommerce product attributes such as Noise level (in dB) and Power (in Watt), which are stored as numeric values.
However, I’ve noticed that range filtering seems to be available only for custom fields (meta fields), not for standard WooCommerce attributes.
Since I have already entered a large number of these numeric values as product attributes, I would greatly appreciate your advice:
Is there a way to enable range filtering for numeric product attributes
Looking forward to your response. Thank you in advance!

Hi Adrian

Hi Victor,

I have a total of 6 main categories. Each main category contains multiple subcategories. I would like a filter that allows users to select on all subcategories, regardless of the main category they fall under. In short: I want visitors to have the ability to freely filter by any attribute within the whole, both at the main and sub-level.
Can you please help me?
Hi nwb18
In the reference, there are three filters implemented in the text. You can do the same; however, you can only create one filter per entity. For example, if you’re using a category, you can create only one filter from it. You cannot create three separate filters from the category taxonomy. So, to have three filters, you need to use three separate taxonomies or custom fields.
Then create 3 filter sets, apply them to the same page, and use 3 shortcodes [fe_widget]

Victor

Odd, but oké
Can I ask you something else. I added a in the CPT UI a post and taxonomy. In de post are Character Strengths divided into groups. Can you make the groups more visible as main groups with the filter?
Yes, you can do it, but only with checkboxes. Go to the filter set > navigate to your filter > click “more options” > from there choose the “hierarchy view” option and click the update button in the filter set.
Best Regards,
Victor
Hi Victor, one more question. I know there has to be a ‘all’ button under show more. But strangely enough its not there..unless I really need new glasses.
Or better yet, can it be a button to ‘remove all filters’
Hi nwb18
There are no such buttons, or filter terms named “All”. What you can do is add a Chips widget for filter resetting purposes – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/chips-widget/ or its shortcode, you can find all of the shortcodes here – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/shortcodes/

Hello,
I’ve just purchased your plugin for my website, www.myfiesta.it, and I need to set up search filters for some categories I’ve created. In the main “Red Wines” category (https://myfiesta.it/vini-rossi/), I need to display the main category “Red Wines” followed by “Winery Wines” (with all the subcategories belonging to “wineries,” meaning all wineries listed in that category), and then “Region Wines” (with all the regions listed in the “Region Wines” category).
Consequently, when a customer clicks on a red wine from the Sicily region, they should see all red wines belonging to Sicily. The same applies if they want to see all red wines from a particular winery. How can I achieve this?
Hi myfiestanalytics
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
All you can do is turn on the hierarchy view for the category filter to make it work like here – https://demo.filtereverything.pro/posts/
Go to the filter set > navigate to the category filter > click “more option” and from there turn on the hierarchy view > hit the update button in the filter set to apply changes.
Best Regards,
Victor
Hello Victor,
Unfortunately, this plugin isn’t suitable for my needs as I require different features. I would like to request a refund and uninstall the plugin. How can I proceed with this?
Thank you
Hi myfiestanalytics
We are sorry to hear that.
In general, a refund is possible by submitting a form through the account where the plugin was purchased and waiting for a response. Please note that the support team does not handle refunds. Furthermore, we have no control over the refund team and cannot speed up the process or influence it in any way.

Hi there,
First of all, thank you for your great plugin.
I’ve installed Filter Everything Pro on my WordPress Multisite setup, and I’m using it primarily on a subdomain that runs Elementor Pro.
Unfortunately, I noticed that the filter widget is not showing up in the Elementor widgets panel (the left sidebar). However, when I manually insert the shortcode [fe_widget], it does display correctly and functions as expected.
Still, I would really need the widget to appear visually in the Elementor sidebar in order to manage layout more efficiently.
Could you please let me know how to make the widget appear properly in the Elementor editor, or if there’s something I might have missed during installation?
Thanks in advance for your support!
Best regards, Moreno
Hi Moreno
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
You can find the Filters widget in the “WordPress” section in Elementor. Please note that it won’t appear in search results. The widget is named “Filter Everything – Filters.” However, while editing the page template in Elementor, it will appear as plain text. The filter will be visible only on the front end of the page.

Victor
Hello,
there is an issue with filter translation via WPML. I followed the instructions in the documentation and created the filter, which works fine for most of the terms, but 3 translated text attributes are not displaying at all. The difference is that missing filters are text filters and the correctly working are numeric or are in English. What should I do?

Since we need to deactivate plugins and so on, it might be better to do it on the staging site even if you have a backup.

Update, seems like it is working now. However it is not stable (stop working from time to time)
Best Regards,
Victor
I added a security certificate on it so Cloudflare is less protective. Please check.

Let’s start with the implementation. You have two languages on the site, however, it is still displaying all of the products from the Georgian language on the EN language pages, which is one of the issues, as you have only 1 EN product, and only that one product should be displayed in EN language. (Not mixed En + Georgian)
Secondly, we created a custom attribute for testing purposes, and added it to that one product that has EN translation, and here are the results:
https://staging.metromarti.ge/კატეგორია/sayofackhovrebo-teqnika/sareckhi-manqanebi/fe_test_prdo-gr_fe_att_something/And the EN
https://staging.metromarti.ge/en/product-category/home-appliances/washing-machines/fe_test_prdo-en_fe_att_1/
Everything seems to be working well, so it’s more likely that the issue lies in the specific attributes you’ve created, possibly in their slugs. Using repetitive slugs like wc-something-something and wc-something-something1 may not be perfect due to how slugs are parsed. A better approach would be to use underscores (e.g., wc_something), which treat the slug as a single phrase and ensure it remains unique.
Also, if they were imported it can be also an issue, with the broken data in the database that should be checked.
Try to fix first things, then create new attributes, and then work with the filtering by those attributes to check if everything is working correctly.
Best Regards,
Victor
OK, thanks for your investigation and for the insights. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to avoid importing the attributes, since there will be hundreds of them. Nevertheless, I will use the underscore as you recommended. I will also try to translate some more products to see if this ads values to the text filters.
Greetings,
after translating some of the products, the attributes in the filter started to show up gradually. Is there a way to override that behavior and display the untranslated strings if not available? Or is it WMPL’s settings in affect?
Hi metromart99
This is a highly technical question. We’ll direct it to the development team to confirm how it works. Once we receive the information, we’ll let you know right away.

Victor
Hello Victor, I’m writing to follow up on my question from a few days ago. I’m still awaiting an update from the development team regarding the possibility of displaying untranslated attribute values as a fallback. In the meantime, I have continued to work on the site, and the problems with filter translations persist and have become more complex. I believe there is a gap in the documentation regarding the specific, step-by-step process for translating a Filter Set with WPML, which is causing these issues. To help your team understand the problems and guide me toward a solution, could you please clarify the correct workflow by answering the following questions?
1. Initial Creation: Should a Filter Set always be created in the site’s default language (Georgian) first? Or is it also valid to create it in the secondary language (English) and then translate it to the primary?
2. Standard Translation: When using WPML’s standard translation interface for a Filter Set, it only offers fields for “Title,” “Excerpt,” and “URL.” This is clearly not enough to translate the filter’s functionality. What is the intended next step after this to sync the actual filter criteria (e.g., price, taxonomies, attributes)?
3. Duplicating for Translation: Is the intended method to “Duplicate” the Filter Set for the other language and then edit that copy independently? When I tried this, it created an empty Filter Set in the second language; none of the original filters (price, brand, attributes) were copied over, forcing me to rebuild it from scratch. Is this the expected behavior?
4. Applying to Sub-categories: How can a single Filter Set be configured to apply to a parent category and all of its sub-categories automatically, without having to specify each one?
5. Cloning a Filter Set: Separately from translation, is there a way to clone an existing Filter Set as a template for a new one? This would save a significant amount of time when creating similar filters for different categories. ~ To give you a practical example of the issues, I have two categories set up with filters that are behaving differently:
Case 1: “Washing Machines” Category Setup: Some products are translated into English, but not all. The attributes themselves are all translated via WPML. The Filter Set was created in the primary language first. Problem: The filter only displays attribute values that exist on the few products that have been manually translated. The attributes are all translated. The filters are doubled in both English and Georgian in backend.
Case 2: “TVs” Category Setup: ALL products in this category are translated. The Filter Set was created in the secondary language (English) first, then duplicated for the primary language (Georgian), and the Georgian version was built from scratch while keeping the WPML link. Problem: Even with all products and attributes translated, the filter is incomplete. For example, numeric attributes like “Frequency (Hz)” (ეკრანის სიხშირე) and text attributes like “Resolution” (რეზოლუცია) are not displaying all of their available values in the filter on the front-end.
My primary goal is to understand the correct, repeatable process for translating Filter Sets with WPML. A detailed walkthrough or answers to my questions above would be immensely helpful.
Thank you for your continued support. Regards
Hi metromart99
Currently, it only works with translated terms. So if you have a page in lang1 that also displays products without translations from lang2, only the attributes from lang1 will be shown in the filter set.
1) You can create a filter set in any language; just make sure to place it on the appropriate page. For example, you can create a filter set for lang1 and assign it to page1, then create a filter set for lang2 and also assign it to page1. When you switch languages on that page, the corresponding filter set will be displayed.
2) Switch to the WordPress translation method. The one from the WPML have no effect at all in terms of filter translation.
3) Please send us the exact two links to those pages so we can check why one of them is empty and how you placed the filter set in the language where it appears empty. (link to the page where they are displayed and the link where they are not)
4) Not possible, each category page is a separate page, so it requires separate filter sets for each page.
5) This feature is already developed and currently in testing. It will be released soon, either this week or next week.
Best Regards,
Victor
hello,
thank you for your response. The links from “Case 2” below, where the secondary language (English) only displays a fraction of available attribute terms.
”/televizorebi/” – Georgian; and ”/en/tv/” – English
All terms and products are translated for this category. Please take a look at the following filters (missing translated values): რეზოლუცია – Resolution, and ეკრანის სიხშირე (Hz) – Frequency
Counts on the displayed values in Secondary are also incorrect.
Regards
Hmm, according to the attributes appliance everything is displayed correctly(staging site):
1) Here is for the Georgian language https://prnt.sc/X7mhjp2IySqj which has a lot of applied terms to your products
2) Here is EN language: https://prnt.sc/xAIbEc512Deg which has like 5 products with applied attributes to them.
Best Regards,
Victor
oh wow. Thank you for the hints and for your time.
I am happy you’re going to add duplication of filter sets. Please also consider the inheriting feature, to the lower branches of the same hierarchy, for future. It’s also very useful.
Regards
There are plans for this feature; however, it is significantly more complex to implement. It would require rewriting a significant amount of the code, including core functionality, to ensure it works correctly with subpages and taxonomies. Additionally, it would need functionality to prevent this behavior as well, since some users may find it unsuitable for their use cases. That said, it is on the list for future features.
Best Regards,
Victor
Hi there,
previously in this threat you recommended me to “2) Switch to the WordPress translation method. The one from the WPML have no effect at all in terms of filter translation.”
I did, but neither on duplicate nor on translate (WordPress) option I am able to make it work. I tried both: “Copy content from Georgian” and “Overwrite with Georgian”.
The filter set I am trying to translate is: “მობილური ტელეფონები”
Could you please help?
Regards.
Hi metromart99
Please send the following information:
1) A link to the page in the language where it is working.
2) A link to the page where the translated version should appear.
3) Credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it.
One more thing: if you send us the credentials, please mention it in the comments section. That way, we won’t be confused or miss the fact that you’ve already provided them.
Best Regards,
Victor
hi,
1) /mobiluri-telefonebi/ 2) /en/mobile-phones/ 3) Done!
Noted!

Hi metromart99
Here’s the process create one filter set for language 1 and apply it on the required page. Go to another language and create the same filter set for the same page with the required titles for language 2.
You need to manually create two same filter sets, one for EN second for GE.
This is EN: https://prnt.sc/H8J_tAPAFCmm and this is GE: https://prnt.sc/-8F157BfRGsJ
Results: EN page – https://prnt.sc/YGzWvGtPJZjo and GE – https://prnt.sc/WIBzcqK9qW2i
It will not duplicate filters during any type of translation. You need to create them manually for both languages.
Best Regards,
Victor
Hi metromart99
The new plugin update, which adds support for duplicating Filter Sets, will be released today in a couple of hours.
In your case you can duplicate a filter set, and swith the language for it, so it will go to the another language.

Victor
