Hello! We are having issues with a number of our map locations all showing up at the same address, even though the unique addresses are showing up correctly on their specific pages. Here is a link to our map: https://alkemeins.com/offices/. We have 11 locations showing up in Utah, and there should only be 1. We have regenerated the markers multiple times and it didn’t do anything. I will also share some images through email so you can see the backend. Thanks for the help!

We have installed the Progress Map plugin on our website (https://lovett7dev.wpenginepowered.com/), but when I try to change the description from the Carousel Items Settings tab, the changes do not reflect on the carousel items on the frontend, and it’s not working properly.

Hi there, I have a project, where they made +500 listings using WP GoMaps combined with Advanced Custom Fields, where the Location is merely an address and the Lat/Long field is only a single field called ‘location’. Now, I want to migrate to Progress Maps, but the doc says I need the Lat and Long fields as separate fields. Is there maybe still some way to go ahead and convert the old locations to the progress maps location fields? I’d like to avoid having to copy the address from one field to another for +500 posts. 
Oh AND additionally: is it possible to somehow use a different image (set in a custom field per post) as the infobox image? They didn’t utilize the featured image functionality so I would need to use an image coming from a custom field as a featured image. Many thanks in advance!

Hi, I’ve need to go through my media and renew feature and other images for listings, but want to keep the same image file name. I realise this can cause issues within wordpress (images not getting updated immediately) and I have cleared the dynamic cache on server and regenerated thumbnails.
This usually sorts all issues with the images on my Dashboard, however new feature images are not showing on the map. I have taken screenshots but can’t attach. Any suggestions what else I can try? Thank you

We’re having an issue where the map doesn’t complete loading, the spinner just sits there. If you refresh, it’ll come right up. I searched through others posts here so know its likely due to some other script compression or speed scripts, but unsure how to figure out which is causing the problem? Hi, can’t thank the support as they did not helped.
But for anymone who has the issue with KML polygons that are all blue and don’t show the right colors in the plugin.
If you created your KML file online, use Google Earth Pro to generate the colors, it will solve the problem.

Hello, I’m using the Progress Map extension for WordPress. The map displays correctly when I’m logged into the WordPress dashboard. However, when I view a page containing the map while not logged in, it fails to load and displays a blank page instead. Yes, you can create a map where each point on your tourist route includes a video or description or image gallery, and more. Regarding the Google Maps API, you must have it to use the plugin. On the homepage of my site tripsygypsy.com I have an interactive map of the US. When you click on a location spot using a desktop computer, you are automatically rerouted to the details for that vacation destination. When you click on athe same location spot using your cell phone, you are not given the details, only a static picture. Please let me know how this can be remedied, thx.

When you mention being rerouted to the details for that destination, I assume you are referring to the carousel. If so, please note that the “Horizontal” display of the carousel is not responsive. That’s why you only see the picture; the details are hidden because they are outside the screen’s viewport. In the meantime, you can switch to the “Vertical” view, which adapts to both desktop and mobile screens. Please note that the next release of the plugin will address this issue. It will include a new carousel that is responsive and offers much better performance. The next release will be available soon.

I am following up for my client. There are additional issues with this map:
1. I am unable to save any changes to the infomap; when I try to do so I am getting the following error:

3. Can we remove this message that pops up when you select a marker: “A new location has been selected…”?

I just checked your website. Regarding the error message that appears when you save the map, I believe the issue is with the core files of WordPress. It may be related to the PHP version your server is using. If possible, please contact your hosting provider and ask them to switch to PHP version 8.0, then try again.
As for the issue where the rest of the map is grayed out when you select a location and try to find a place, I made a screen recording to show how the map works for me (check the link below). From my perspective, there’s nothing wrong with it. Please make a video recording to demonstrate how to reproduce your issue.

1. We are running PHP 8.1.29 so that’s not the issue. 2. Please check the grayed out issue on a phone. Some of the locations don’t have an issue but others do. Try selecting the Dog Bark Park in Cottonwood, IA, and then select “Airport” under Places. The issue seems to be that the target location and the “Place” aren’t both visible in the window, which means the user has to zoom out to see both. This is not intuitive. I can send a screenshot if you tell me where to send it. 3. No way to remove it? Can’t this be done with CSS?
Update: Regarding my first issue above about the WP error, I contacted our site host and they suggested you check if there is an issue with the configuration of our site (for example a conflict with another plugin) causing the issue and if possible to have you run a few tests on your side on whether you can edit anything in the installation. They also said the error appears to be in this file: tripsygypsy.com/public_html/wp-includes/kses.php

It took 5 months to get a response and now you’re not willing to review the comments to determine status? Unbelievable. I am not going to waste my time or my client’s money starting from scratch; and you my need to refer back to your previous response. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY:
1. We have paid our developer to fix the recurring WP error, which was being caused in part by the fact that your plug-in hasn’t been updated since May 2024.
2. 2. I tested selecting “Dog Bark Park in Cottonwood” and then chose “Airport” under Places. Since there is only one airport near your address, the map automatically adjusts its boundaries and zooms in on that specific airport. This behavior is intentional and part of the plugin’s design, not a malfunction. Please note, if you click on the airport marker, the map will display the route to your address, making your address marker visible as well. Otherwise, you’ll need to zoom out to view all available markers.
3. Regarding the message “A new location has been selected”, it’s not possible to remove this message, even with CSS.
Lastly, I’d like to remind you that you’re still eligible for a refund if you’re not satisfied with the plugin experience. Please submit a refund request, and it will be approved.

Thank you for the response. I see that the route to the airport nearest Dog Bark Park is now showing when I click the marker. Can you tell me why Miami Intl. Airport (which is 60 mi away) doesn’t show up when I click on Jules Undersea Lodge in Key Largo, FL? Can you remind me the scope of a search around a marker point and if that can be adjusted?
I would suggest the functionality of the map be changed to show the route to the nearest major airport as soon as one searches. It’s not intuitive to click on the marker to see the distance from the point of origin.
It took many hours of work to set up your map and integrate it with Envira Gallery plug-in. My client cannot afford to start over from scratch with a new plug-in, so a refund doesn’t help her.
Also, I was told you would be making the infoboxes responsive in an upcoming release … that was many months ago. Is there any progress on this?

The airport you mentioned is 60 miles away, which exceeds the maximum search radius allowed by the Google Places API. The API supports searches within a maximum distance of 31 miles.
