Hello,

my filter appears at the bottom of my page instead of in the sidebar. I am using the Flatsome theme.

Thank you for your help. Best regards

Nicolas

Hi Nicolas

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

Do you mean that the mobile button appears at the bottom of the page or on the desktop as well?

Try to place any other widgets in your sidebar, and check where they will be displayed, perhaps this is the settings of the theme layouts where the sidebar will be displayed on pages, left/right/bottom/top. This relies on the theme templates where the sidebar will be displayed, so you might want to make a request to this theme support, so they will provide you information on how you can change it.

Also, about the mobile mode you can check this page – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/mobile-devices-new-approach/ with multiple problems and how they can be fixed.

Hi I’m using Elementor Pro, the Shop page was created with ‘Products Archive’ and it’s set as the default Shop page in WooCommerce https://prnt.sc/vRYXGJF34Uys but I’m getting this error:

No one Filter Set is related to this page. You can configure it in the Filter Set -> “Where to filter?” field.

“Where to Filter” is set to Pages > Shop: https://prnt.sc/iGSwAVH9xR1m

Hi pbrinks

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

Try instead of “Pages + Shop page” to choose “Common WordPress pages + Shop page” and hit update.

Hello …

Is it possible for me to assign a Class or ID to a Filter Set so I can style them with CSS?

Thank you

Hi East_Lancs_chamber

You can use templates overriding – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/templates-overriding/

Or you can use the browser inspect tools in order to inspect the needed element and use their classes in the Filters -> Settings -> Experimental -> Custom CSS with the needed styles in order to make unique-looking elements.

Got it … Many Thanks!

Hi there,

I noticed my filters are working properly.

The filter is located here. https://desw2.sg-host.com/nativity-sets-and-figures/

1st issue I have the apply buttons included. I select three Gift types but the second gift type gets unticked when i hit apply.

2nd issue When I do not include the apply button a similar thing happens. I can select more than one gift type but if I select the second one it unticks. You can view this here. https://www.loom.com/share/991ee165ce774b669b54355f6488626c

Oh, yeah, we lost sight of that, because we’re used to working with ACF and using custom solutions only in development. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Honestly, this is quite a weird solution, and yes, it can cause issues, especially if you enter this data manually for each product. In general, it is quite risky to do it like that as you can add one symbol and it will be another data already causing conflicts.

If you are using a custom field we usually recommend using checkboxes in the ACF plugins, so in the products, you will have something like this – https://prnt.sc/xP3OWnijsrYg as you see they are already predefined (in created custom field) and you need to only check the needed option, and you 100% sure there will be the same data applied without modifications. For other values to create range slider filters you can use numerical custom fields and so on.

But with this solution that you have, we are not sure how the data is serialized, how it is saved in the database if it supports different symbols, etc. We’d use something like that only in development for quick testing, but at the same time, we know 100% how we add it and how it is working. But we would never recommend it for the prod site.

Also, since you are using WooCommerce, you don’t even need those custom fields, you can simply use attributes from the Products -> Attributes, and then apply those attributes with the terms on your products.

But in general, it would be quite challenging to switch for you right now, as you are over 2k products, and this data is already in the database in those custom fields, so you need to remove it, add new data, etc.

We’d recommend creating a small testing custom field with ACF to check if it all works as it should. Also, we’d recommend checking this page before playing with ACF – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/acf/#important to be aware of all hidden problems that could arise. Usually, you won’t find such things in the documentation of plugins, for example, “please be aware that if you did this and this and that,” it can cause those types of issues.

(Products -> Attributes, ) – The previous plugin didn’t use these sadly. I hate that company even more now lol

Thanks for your time. I will either leave it as it is or move them into other fields that currently work properly so.

Kind Regards

Well, it depends on how you want to do it. Yes, our plugin can filter by taxonomies, custom fields, date, and author.

Theoretically, you can go to the database, find all those meta key values applied to your products, and change them with one query. But before experiencing it, make sure that you created backups, in case something goes wrong you always can roll back. Maybe there is some data that is corrupted, or maybe some of the values were in different types.

I use FilterEverything pro in combination with Divi and WooCommerce. On the product archive pages everything works well. However, if i want to use the filter on the main shop page, I can filter the items but it has no effect on the visible products. Do I need to make any specific changes on the products list?

Hi sam442

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

Can you please send the link to the image with this issue so we can check it?

Best Regards,
- Victor

It seems the plugin works well, only on the ‘shop page’ it has problems, that it does not filter the products as selected. It also doesn’t detect the shop page, so I need to select it as a specific page. Do you have an idea what happens here?

Hi sam442

The shop page in the filter set settings “Where to filter” is usually either

Common WordPress pages + shop or Pages + Shop

Also, you might not apply from WooCOmmerce settings on the shop page.

If it is showing filter but not filtering, go to the filter set and on the “And what to filter?” choose another query and hit apply, then go to the filtered page, refresh it, and test it.

Hello, I want the filter on the shop page and the product categories. How can I display a filterset on more then one page?

Hi clicktrading

Either place it on all archive pages or you would need to create more filter sets, to place them on the shop page and on archive pages. Unfortunately, there is no option to choose multiple pages where one filter set will be displayed.

Hi. In subcategories, the filter shows product attributes that shouldn’t be there. For example, in the “Photo Wallpaper” category it shows attributes of other product types, although the category contains only photo wallpapers

As you might see the plugin is Locked as you didn’t enter the license key, please activate the plugin so the Filter Set can be updated – https://prnt.sc/ehaEk_U65eXe

Please follow the instructions on this page: https://filtereverything.pro/resources/license-key-issues/#how_to_get_the_license_key to get the license key.

activated… let’s do it

You need to create another filter set and place it specifically like here – https://prnt.sc/loTzXcf3f77s for product categories.

The shop page and the categories, pages have different queries.

Hi! It seems like “Apply Filter” button is not working. Whenever I turn on this option, I always receive 404 error POST request in the dev console. If I turn off this option, the filter is working pretty well. Can you help me with this issue please?

Tried this on ajax on and off settings. Nothing happens.

Here’s the screenshot:https://ibb.co/C1YD36x

Hi TonyExpocentric

More likely you have an issue with the AJAX settings on the site, or you have a conflict with third-party plugins/themes. So you might want to use the default theme and turn off all of the plugins in order to check it.

Generally, there is no support for accounts whose support period has expired following the support policy.

But we can help you later after all requests from accounts with valid support periods are processed. It may take some time – days or weeks.

If you want to receive it faster, please extend the support period, and we will process the request with the priority for supported accounts.

Hi,

I just cannot figure out how to set up Filter Everything with ACF Custom Post Type. I hope I can explain the issue.

I want to filter a custom post type called “Listings”. These will be for boats we sell.

Ultimately, I would like to filter on LOA (the length overall), Beam (the width), and Draft (the depth of the hull).

So, initially, I set up an ACF called LOA and added a value to that field on two test Listings.

I then jump over to Filter Everything.

If I choose to filter by “Custom Field”, the front-end widget says “There are no filter terms yet.”

If I use Custom Field Numeric, the posts do not change when I adjust the values in the sidebar.

I did get it to work with basic tags without ACF, but this more advanced method feels like the best solution if I can get it to work.

My live page is here: superyachttendersandtoys.com/test-brokerage/

Also, I have purchased Filter Everything Pro.

Hope you can help.

Cheers Tom

Thank you, everything is working now. We will check the site and provide information on this issue.

Best Regards,
- Victor

We have checked the site, and the issue is that you used the wrong meta keys. We have added the filters with the correct meta keys and everything is working as it should. We haven’t deleted the old ones that you created so you might want to delete them.

Hi Victor. Thank you so much! Absolutely amazing support.

Hey!

I have a question about the sorting widget ID. Where can I find it, and how can I create it properly?

I have this message: There are no Sorting widgets on this site yet. Please, create it first. Filter Everything debug Wrong Sorting widget id. Please, specify the correct.

Hi rekosa

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

So the sorting widget should be created in the widget area. If you do not have the widget area in your theme you can use any free widgets plugin for that. If you are using Elementor for a page, you can go to the WordPress section in the Elementor and find there Filter Everything – sorting

Hello,

I am trying to create a filter with a custom taxonomy, but when setting up t he filter, there is no WP_Query to be found. I am not sure what I have missed.

Thanks

This is the page. The items are a custom type made with ACF and Custom Post Type UI. The site is built with Elementor Pro. You still have a support account in our site.

Please send us the exact page on which you are facing such issues so we can check it. Also, please send the link to the needed taxonomy, from which you are trying to make filters or on which pages you are trying to place filters. You can do it via PM – https://codecanyon.net/user/fe_support

Best Regards,

We have checked the site with the pages, and simply displayed them in the Elementor Loop Grid, for testing purposes, under your posts element, and everything is working. Seems like the posts element is not doing it with the classical WP_Query. But you can use Grid Loop for that. And you check and test to see that it is working.

Thanks for your reply to my last request.

Is it possible to include the filter title in the chip?

For example, the options for a filter titled “bedrooms” are 1,2,3,4,5. Currently the chip is labeled with a number only. I would like the chip label to read “2 bedrooms” or “3 bedrooms.”

Please let me know. Thank you.

Hi edzilla17

Can you please send the link to the page with those filters and chips so we can check it?

The site is currently in development, so when it’s launched, I definitely will. Thanks

Hello, we attempted to set up your plugin, but unfortunately, it is not what we are looking for in our website. Our intention was to have users redirected to the taxonomy archive page when they select any of the taxonomies from the dropdown filter list. However, the plugin currently filters it on the same page and generates its own URL instead of redirecting it to the taxonomy archive page. This is causing confusion for visitors because some of the CPTs are connected to more than one taxonomy. It’s difficult to explain without showing it, so we kindly request a refund. Thank you.

Hi fozdigital

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

You can use any taxonomy crawling plugin/mega menu for that, but it will not be a filter by any means if it works based on your description.

Taxonomy crawler and filtering are different things. For example, you want to choose multiple category filters at the same time on a certain page or only want to display posts that have the category gold + watch, not separately gold or watch. Crawler won’t help here.

As far as we know about typical good practices when building such sites, there is a catalog usually a taxonomy pages list, and in each taxonomy page, they have detailed filters, so they are not navigating on the site with the filter they navigate by taxonomy crawler/mega menu and only on those pages use detailed filters with all of the possible attributes.

In general, a refund is possible with the correct form from the account where the plugin was purchased. Please note that the support team is not working on the refunds.

Is there a way to speed up the filtering, after every filter change there is loading pages / icons , seemingly regardless of settings in the plugin? Is there any way to remove these / recommendations to speed it up more? Thank you

Not even sure what we can recommend here, it is filtering quite fast. It cannot be instant just choose a filter and it will immediately filter posts in 0.01sec. You can try to use OPCache, Redis/Memcache in order to speed it up.

Best Regards,
- Victor

Thank you, it seemed slower on their screen recording I suspect the internet connection will be affecting this too, we are looking at using Memcache to help with this also. Thanks for the help

Yes, definitely it could be the internet connection, because, on your video, it was quite fast. If you open any online shops, there will be the same or even x2-4 times slower speed. But we have clients that did fantastic optimizations on their sites, and it is working almost instantly. Unfortunately, they do not share their optimization techniques.

We’ve just purchased the pro version of Filter Everything which i’m trying to get working with our WP site which is using the Avada Theme through the Postcards module.

I’ve built a basic ‘Meet the Team’ page using ACF and is working fine. I’ve created a filter set using FE and when I include the filter on the page (via shortcode) I’m getting the message ‘No one filter set is related to this page’

Please can you help to what might be causing this issue?

Thanks! Just one more question – How can I automatically hide options from the filter taxonomy that have zero results

See screenshot https://ibb.co/StQRD6w for a better explaination

Thanks!

Ignore me .. I found the option (-:

Hi East_Lancs_chamber

We are glad to hear that the issue was resolved.

I have purchased the Filter Everything Pro however it is not showing on a homepage.

Domain name: parts.eeaustralia.com.au

Hi eeaustgroup

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

In order to display filters on the home page, inside the filter set “Where to filter” dropdowns you should place it on the “Common WordPress page + Homepage” or on some themes you can choose the “Pages + name of the page”

Best Regards,
- Victor

Hi Victor, my developer already did that still the issue existed

It is brand new installation of WordPress, WooCommerce etc.

your plugin doesn’t work?

Hi eeaustgroup

Can you please send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it?

Also, please send the link to the page where you want to display the filters, so we can set it up for you.

Best Regards,

Is it posible to merge colors? Let’s say i have some products with colors “Dark bronze” “Coper bronze ” “Bronze” “Metalic Bronze” I would like to display them in filters just as a “bronze”

Hi severynovsky

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

No, unfortunately, there is no such function in the plugin. What you can do is create another attribute named “color groups” create the needed terms and apply them to your products. Then you can create a filter by those groups’ attributes.

If you are not using WooCommerce, then you can create another custom field with names for your color groups.

Hello,

I am creating a portfolio filter for our case studies and using your awesome plugin.

The page: https://damremoval.eu/case-studies-2/ Password: Filter2024

However I am now stuck to the filter not showing the two different categories of barrier removal types. In the filter it shows Dam Removal correct but the Weir removals are now showing.

These are the project categories. What could I be doing wrong?

Best,

Yes that is correct, however if I also select “weir removal” in the portfolio categories the filter does not work anymore.

Hi deelbas

If you change those values, you need to go back to the filter set and update it so it will work with the changed query on that page, since you have changed values to what it should display.

Best Regards,
- Victor

Ahhh got it, thank you so much for the fast support!

Вітаю! Виникли певні проблеми з налаштуваннями плагіну

We use the FilterEverything.Pro plugin and it works well, but I have a problem with SEO rules. I am creating a rule for “marque” (Brand) https://i.imgur.com/w7XXovQ.png https://i.imgur.com/lbwkyZw.png and when I change the filter on the store page, I don’t have h1, title, etc. I’m using Woodmart theme and plugins WPML, Elementor, Woocommerce Brand, etc. Can you help with the settings of your plugin or technical support? Thanks. https://hobby-at-home.com/shop/product-marque-ugears

Hi lovikovnikita

Try going to the Setting -> Reading and turn off this checkbox – https://prnt.sc/T2eOBOcl-WXa

I have the Pro version, and in some cases, the “pretty” URL formatting is great, but I would also like to format the URL as a Query String after the page slug. Is there a setting or code snippet for that? Please let me know.

Hi edzilla17

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

You can use this code in the functions.php file of your theme in order to turn off the friendly URL permalink manager, so in the URL, you will see only GET parameters.

define( 'FLRT_PERMALINKS_ENABLED', false );

Best Regards,
- Victor

Thank you. That works perfectly.
