Hello,
I purchased your plugin for one of my customer’s websites in September 2022, and now I’m experiencing a serious issue with the “Filter Everything Pro” plugin. It says that the key is invalid and now I am unable to reactivate my license key on my customer’s website. Could there be an issue with my license key? Perhaps it’s because it was originally activated on the staging system, which is no longer in use?
Thank you in advance!
Hi tricksiebzehnde
In order to get the license key, please follow those instructions - https://filtereverything.pro/resources/license-key-issues/#how_to_get_the_license_key Please use the browser in incognito mode during this procedure.

Hello!
We have a problem with the Chip display.
We manually load an image onto a selection choice like this
Choice Name
Within in the dropdown menu it all displays as expected and wanted. but the chip itself shows the html tags and elements – the dropdown menu does not.
we provide the fields via acf within field groups
Could you please help?
Image html < a href = ” image.png ” > < span > Choice Name
Hi MollKONZEPT
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
Unfortunately, we cannot see any picture here. Please send the link to the page with the issue and instructions on how we can recreate it. Also, a link to the screenshot so we can check it.

Well, the plugin has color swatches for taxonomies – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/brands-and-color-swatches/
But we are not sure how exactly you made it work like that. Did you use links for the pages like that? Or did you use templates overriding? We need some more information on it.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hey,
we added the attributes via ACF. Then, we created custom fields for the filter set so wie could access those attributes.
I just want to output the field in chips exactly as the one in the dropdown, so as the text with the html image. I cant understand why it is output differently
Do you think you can set up the live site so we can test it all? It is really hard to make any suggestion without actual testing on the place.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hey,
we now setup our dev enviroment. here you see the issue at hand http://dev.krebs-treppen.de/stufen-handlaeufe/stufe-optikart-holz/Hi MollKONZEPT
Can you please send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it?
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hey, we sent you the credentials
We have checked the site, so what you can do is follow the templates overriding features documentation – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/templates-overriding/
And in the chips template, you will notice this code
<span class="wpc-filter-chip-name"><?php echo esc_html( $chip['name'] ); ?></span>
As you know the esc_htm()l used to escape HTML content to make it safe to display as plain text. So you can create your own template and make it as you need.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Thanks!! This worked after removing the esc_html from both plugins (pro and free)
We gave it a custom class to style it easiere
I have a problem with the search bar. When I try to search for a product name, nothing appears. is there some special setting?
Hi tomenr
No, there are no special settings for the search field. It is searching in the title, description, and product SKU. Perhaps there is some conflict with the third-party plugin, theme, or custom code. So you might want to check it.

Ok! thanks for the answer. I will try to test it on a staging environment
Hello, I am not capable to get the choices of a custom field. I am blocked. (Sent you a PM with info)
Hi Shanks75
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
We have checked the site, and not sure where you put those custom fields and on which post types, but we created our own group in ACF – https://prnt.sc/PEOeEGVmekWz and created one custom field with checkboxes – https://prnt.sc/oDt6gJvhxcJ3 and applied one of the value on this post – https://prnt.sc/pZJx8RWz6nFL and everything is working correctly – https://prnt.sc/W-d-2eV2qpyR
You might want to check it out in order to set up your custom fields correctly on the needed post type.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hi it worked for your own acf group. But could you help onsite to show all the fields? It only showed “1-10%” no the other choices (empty)
You need to apply other choices on any posts that are displayed there and it will appear in the filters.

Hola quiero no como poner el fitro (no se ve) puedes indicarme como se hace usando Hello Elementor y Elementor Pro que es lo uso en mi pagina web
Hi produccionesandrespaez
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
Unfortunately, the support is only in the English language. Can you please rewrite your question in English? The translator also provides a confusing translation, so we are not sure what the issue is and we cannot do much without information on it.

Hello, I want to know how to put the filter in my online store (I can’t get it to appear) can you tell me how to put the widgets because I use Elementor Pro to design my website and the theme I use is Hello Elementor. I have seen some YouTube videos about it but they do not provide more information, I have wanted to use the filter for more than two months and I do not know how to configure it, I have created the filter that I want but when it comes to putting up the website is where I understand how to do it. If you can tell me I would appreciate it.
Hi produccionesandrespaez
We’d recommend starting from the Quick Start guide – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/quick-start/
If you are building the page with the Elementor, you can find the Filter widget in the WordPress section. The search won’t find it.
In short, you need to place the filter set on the needed page, under the “where to filter” in the quick start there are some popular examples of how to set it up on different pages. And place a filter widget or shortcode [fe_widget] to display it on the page where the filter set was placed on.
Best Regards,
- Victor
I followed all the steps, and I was able to place the filter on the store page, and even though I select the option all product archive pages, it only appears on the store page, and I have another problem, the filter does appear but it does not filter Any option I click on, the same products appear and I don’t understand why, because I have categorized each product. In fact, I have tried other free filters and it works well, but your filter doesn’t filter me, it doesn’t appear on all the pages. of product file, in short it does not work well for me, that is why I have been telling you for a long time that I requested a refund because it seems to me that I will not be able to use it, it does not let me configure it
Hi produccionesandrespaez
Can you please send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it?
Also, please send the links to the pages where you wanna display your filters so we can quickly apply everything and make examples with working filters.
Best Regards,
- Victor
I can’t do that, I don’t trust giving you access, if your plugin does not have compatibility with all WordPress or WooCommerce themes you should specify it, because one buys thinking that it will work, and then you, for the reason of not giving a refund, put a thousand conditions so that people get tired and do not insist anymore, which is my money with which I paid them, if I am not going to use the puglin because it does not work on my page or I do not think it is good enough, they should make the refund, and cancel the license, it seems very bad to me that you make a thousand excuses and that they ask me to give you access to my online store, I ask you? You would give access to your online store to other people who are not on your team, implying that your plugin has so many obstacles that only you might be able to put it right, that does not solve anything for me, because then I will have to use it myself and if I have problems, what do I do, should I give them access to my website again or should I leave them a profile so they can enter whenever they want, I think that is not right, they would gain more reputation if they gave their clients more peace of mind.
Hi thefrathousenetwork
We understand your concerns, but we have been successfully using this approach for years without any issues. Once we inspect the issues, make the necessary fixes, and provide you with detailed information, you can remove our access. Alternatively, you could create a staging site for us with the same problem. Our goal is to help you with the wrong settings to make it work as soon as possible, so you can focus on your work without having to spend days fixing it yourself.
Alternatively, since you do not trust this process, you can check the Quick Start guide at https://filtereverything.pro/resources/quick-start/ without skipping any information, it will help you to set up the plugin correctly. Additionally, exploring the entire documentation will help you to fix any issues with the plugin.

Hello,
my filter appears at the bottom of my page instead of in the sidebar. I am using the Flatsome theme.
Thank you for your help. Best regards
Nicolas
Hi Nicolas
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
Do you mean that the mobile button appears at the bottom of the page or on the desktop as well?
Try to place any other widgets in your sidebar, and check where they will be displayed, perhaps this is the settings of the theme layouts where the sidebar will be displayed on pages, left/right/bottom/top. This relies on the theme templates where the sidebar will be displayed, so you might want to make a request to this theme support, so they will provide you information on how you can change it.
Also, about the mobile mode you can check this page – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/mobile-devices-new-approach/ with multiple problems and how they can be fixed.

Hi I’m using Elementor Pro, the Shop page was created with ‘Products Archive’ and it’s set as the default Shop page in WooCommerce https://prnt.sc/vRYXGJF34Uys but I’m getting this error:
No one Filter Set is related to this page. You can configure it in the Filter Set -> “Where to filter?” field.
“Where to Filter” is set to Pages > Shop: https://prnt.sc/iGSwAVH9xR1m

Hello …
Is it possible for me to assign a Class or ID to a Filter Set so I can style them with CSS?
Thank you
Hi East_Lancs_chamber
You can use templates overriding – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/templates-overriding/
Or you can use the browser inspect tools in order to inspect the needed element and use their classes in the Filters -> Settings -> Experimental -> Custom CSS with the needed styles in order to make unique-looking elements.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Got it … Many Thanks!
Hi there,
I noticed my filters are working properly.
The filter is located here. https://desw2.sg-host.com/nativity-sets-and-figures/1st issue I have the apply buttons included. I select three Gift types but the second gift type gets unticked when i hit apply.
2nd issue When I do not include the apply button a similar thing happens. I can select more than one gift type but if I select the second one it unticks. You can view this here. https://www.loom.com/share/991ee165ce774b669b54355f6488626c
Hi matthewm174
Try to go to Filters -> Settings -> URL prefixes and make them unique, so instead of product, try using fe_product, etc., but not product-fe, as this will lead to conflicts with already used slugs on the site.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hi Victor.
100% – I have tried that and purged cache. Does it take time to implement because it seems to be having the same issue?
You can view here https://www.loom.com/share/bdf72cd5171c44e3938a0ee62429b28eNote the text used in the custom fields for this is “Childrens Nativity Sets” which is don’t think has anything wrong with it for it to be singled out as the others are done in a similar way.
Hi matthewm174
Can you please send the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it?
Best Regards,

crednetials have been sent
plugins have been installed and activated.
First thing first, if you turn off the cache plugin, you can see the mixed content issue – https://prnt.sc/uG-AOs-KYhDA
Secondly, you are using some custom solution for custom fields, and it looks like you are taking values from product tags but separating them by the custom field custom solution, which is causing this issue, not all terms just the first two terms. Maybe it is because they have almost similar slugs, but we are not sure about it, this should be checked already in your custom fields solution.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hi Victor,
Ah yes, that bloody plugin. I only ever noticed it creating an issue with the menus and since that issue wasn’t raising it’s head anymore I kept it in.
(you are using some custom solution for custom fields,) – I am unsure what you mean here exactly.
So the tags (this is data that I basically use as reminders since these products get imported from SAP)
I do use them in the custom fields.
When you say similar slugs do you mean the slug created by the filter and the slug created when I click on the tag?
(this should be checked already in your custom fields solution.) – I am unsure what you mean here.
Either way the bug is not that big of a deal at the moment and I might just go live with it regardless.
All your filters are created from custom fields, where can we check those custom fields?
Also, where we can change the values in those custom fields? There are no visible ones in the products.
Best Regards,
- Victor
(All your filters are created from custom fields, where can we check those custom fields?) – I have entered these into each product manually.
The custom fields can be found within each product listing. https://prnt.sc/uEbB7IA4kUunMaybe this is the attributes section?
Ah, okay so it is simply hidden from us, as we do not have it – https://prnt.sc/rQaPKx86smt9
May we ask why you didn’t use the ACF plugin for it? You always can test with ACF let’s say checkbox field with already pre-created lists of values, and choose the needed value in your products. With the exact same values, to be 100% sure if the issue is in the custom field data or the issue is in our plugin.
Best Regards,
- Victor
I am not aware of the ACF plugin and at the time, a different plugin admin team advised me that I would have to add them all manually. The sad thing is that plugin turned out to be bullshit and I did not use it in the end. Keep all the products like this was going to save time.
I understand what you mean about picking the same value. Maybe it’s something I will need to consider in the future.
Oh, yeah, we lost sight of that, because we’re used to working with ACF and using custom solutions only in development. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Honestly, this is quite a weird solution, and yes, it can cause issues, especially if you enter this data manually for each product. In general, it is quite risky to do it like that as you can add one symbol and it will be another data already causing conflicts.
If you are using a custom field we usually recommend using checkboxes in the ACF plugins, so in the products, you will have something like this – https://prnt.sc/xP3OWnijsrYg as you see they are already predefined (in created custom field) and you need to only check the needed option, and you 100% sure there will be the same data applied without modifications. For other values to create range slider filters you can use numerical custom fields and so on.
But with this solution that you have, we are not sure how the data is serialized, how it is saved in the database if it supports different symbols, etc. We’d use something like that only in development for quick testing, but at the same time, we know 100% how we add it and how it is working. But we would never recommend it for the prod site.
Also, since you are using WooCommerce, you don’t even need those custom fields, you can simply use attributes from the Products -> Attributes, and then apply those attributes with the terms on your products.
But in general, it would be quite challenging to switch for you right now, as you are over 2k products, and this data is already in the database in those custom fields, so you need to remove it, add new data, etc.
We’d recommend creating a small testing custom field with ACF to check if it all works as it should. Also, we’d recommend checking this page before playing with ACF – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/acf/#important to be aware of all hidden problems that could arise. Usually, you won’t find such things in the documentation of plugins, for example, “please be aware that if you did this and this and that,” it can cause those types of issues.
Best Regards,
- Victor
(Products -> Attributes, ) – The previous plugin didn’t use these sadly. I hate that company even more now lol
Thanks for your time. I will either leave it as it is or move them into other fields that currently work properly so.
Kind Regards
Well, it depends on how you want to do it. Yes, our plugin can filter by taxonomies, custom fields, date, and author.
Theoretically, you can go to the database, find all those meta key values applied to your products, and change them with one query. But before experiencing it, make sure that you created backups, in case something goes wrong you always can roll back. Maybe there is some data that is corrupted, or maybe some of the values were in different types.
Best Regards,
- Victor
I use FilterEverything pro in combination with Divi and WooCommerce. On the product archive pages everything works well. However, if i want to use the filter on the main shop page, I can filter the items but it has no effect on the visible products. Do I need to make any specific changes on the products list?
Hi sam442
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
Can you please send the link to the image with this issue so we can check it?
Best Regards,

It seems the plugin works well, only on the ‘shop page’ it has problems, that it does not filter the products as selected. It also doesn’t detect the shop page, so I need to select it as a specific page. Do you have an idea what happens here?
Hi sam442
The shop page in the filter set settings “Where to filter” is usually either
Common WordPress pages + shop or Pages + Shop
Also, you might not apply from WooCOmmerce settings on the shop page.
If it is showing filter but not filtering, go to the filter set and on the “And what to filter?” choose another query and hit apply, then go to the filtered page, refresh it, and test it.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hello, I want the filter on the shop page and the product categories. How can I display a filterset on more then one page?
Hi clicktrading
Either place it on all archive pages or you would need to create more filter sets, to place them on the shop page and on archive pages. Unfortunately, there is no option to choose multiple pages where one filter set will be displayed.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hi. In subcategories, the filter shows product attributes that shouldn’t be there. For example, in the “Photo Wallpaper” category it shows attributes of other product types, although the category contains only photo wallpapers
https://take.ms/l41FG https://take.ms/MTpsJHi akaEnot
You need to be 100% sure that all of the posts that are displayed on that category page, do not have applied on them other tags/categories. Because if tehre is then it will be displayed. Also, you can try to apply the filter set on the exact category page and check it.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Also, about the locale settings, can you please send us the credentials to the wp-admin dashboard following this document so we can check it?
And the page where you display the values in UA language?
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hi akaEnot
The answer was provided in the previous comment thread, please check it and let us know if everything is working.
Best Regards,

Hi akaEnot
It looks like you removed the filters from the page already, so we cannot check it.

put everything back the way it was
As you might see the plugin is Locked as you didn’t enter the license key, please activate the plugin so the Filter Set can be updated – https://prnt.sc/ehaEk_U65eXe
Please follow the instructions on this page: https://filtereverything.pro/resources/license-key-issues/#how_to_get_the_license_key to get the license key.

activated… let’s do it
You need to create another filter set and place it specifically like here – https://prnt.sc/loTzXcf3f77s for product categories.
The shop page and the categories, pages have different queries.

Hi! It seems like “Apply Filter” button is not working. Whenever I turn on this option, I always receive 404 error POST request in the dev console. If I turn off this option, the filter is working pretty well. Can you help me with this issue please?
Tried this on ajax on and off settings. Nothing happens.
Here’s the screenshot:https://ibb.co/C1YD36x
Hi TonyExpocentric
More likely you have an issue with the AJAX settings on the site, or you have a conflict with third-party plugins/themes. So you might want to use the default theme and turn off all of the plugins in order to check it.

Hi,
I just cannot figure out how to set up Filter Everything with ACF Custom Post Type. I hope I can explain the issue.
I want to filter a custom post type called “Listings”. These will be for boats we sell.
Ultimately, I would like to filter on LOA (the length overall), Beam (the width), and Draft (the depth of the hull).
So, initially, I set up an ACF called LOA and added a value to that field on two test Listings.
I then jump over to Filter Everything.
If I choose to filter by “Custom Field”, the front-end widget says “There are no filter terms yet.”
If I use Custom Field Numeric, the posts do not change when I adjust the values in the sidebar.
I did get it to work with basic tags without ACF, but this more advanced method feels like the best solution if I can get it to work.
My live page is here: superyachttendersandtoys.com/test-brokerage/
Also, I have purchased Filter Everything Pro.
Hope you can help.
Cheers Tom
Hi Tom
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

Hi Victor. Thanks for the quick reply. I have followed the instructions and sent the credentials. Cheers.
We get the credentials and try to log in but unfortunately, it is not working, we simply get redirected every time to the login page after entering everything and hitting enter.
Best Regards,

Hi Victor. My apologies. I have sent another link to try.
The issue is that we get here – https://prnt.sc/rSOI_jVMGuve but when we click on filters we get redirected here -> https://prnt.sc/-QeprI8WSphO and none of both options work, when we log in with the user name and passwords it simple redirect us back to the login page choose any of the two options.
Maybe turning off two-step authentication will work. But we are not sure about it.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Hi Victor. I have turned off two-step authentication. Sorry again – thank you for your patience.
Thank you, everything is working now. We will check the site and provide information on this issue.
Best Regards,

We have checked the site, and the issue is that you used the wrong meta keys. We have added the filters with the correct meta keys and everything is working as it should. We haven’t deleted the old ones that you created so you might want to delete them.

Hi Victor. Thank you so much! Absolutely amazing support.
Hey!
I have a question about the sorting widget ID. Where can I find it, and how can I create it properly?
I have this message: There are no Sorting widgets on this site yet. Please, create it first. Filter Everything debug Wrong Sorting widget id. Please, specify the correct.
Hi rekosa
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
So the sorting widget should be created in the widget area. If you do not have the widget area in your theme you can use any free widgets plugin for that. If you are using Elementor for a page, you can go to the WordPress section in the Elementor and find there Filter Everything – sorting

Hello,
I am trying to create a filter with a custom taxonomy, but when setting up t he filter, there is no WP_Query to be found. I am not sure what I have missed.
Thanks
Hi emarinuk
Well, it depends on what you are trying to filter and on which page. The page should have WP_Query to display your posts. If it doesn’t have it, then it is not showing anything in the list. If you can provide more details with links to the page, we could check it all and make some suggestions based on your current case.
Best Regards,
- Victor
This is the page. The items are a custom type made with ACF and Custom Post Type UI. The site is built with Elementor Pro. You still have a support account in our site.
Please send us the exact page on which you are facing such issues so we can check it. Also, please send the link to the needed taxonomy, from which you are trying to make filters or on which pages you are trying to place filters. You can do it via PM – https://codecanyon.net/user/fe_support
Best Regards,
- Victor
We have checked the site with the pages, and simply displayed them in the Elementor Loop Grid, for testing purposes, under your posts element, and everything is working. Seems like the posts element is not doing it with the classical WP_Query. But you can use Grid Loop for that. And you check and test to see that it is working.
Best Regards,

Thanks for your reply to my last request.
Is it possible to include the filter title in the chip?
For example, the options for a filter titled “bedrooms” are 1,2,3,4,5. Currently the chip is labeled with a number only. I would like the chip label to read “2 bedrooms” or “3 bedrooms.”
Please let me know. Thank you.
Hi edzilla17
Can you please send the link to the page with those filters and chips so we can check it?

Hello, we attempted to set up your plugin, but unfortunately, it is not what we are looking for in our website. Our intention was to have users redirected to the taxonomy archive page when they select any of the taxonomies from the dropdown filter list. However, the plugin currently filters it on the same page and generates its own URL instead of redirecting it to the taxonomy archive page. This is causing confusion for visitors because some of the CPTs are connected to more than one taxonomy. It’s difficult to explain without showing it, so we kindly request a refund. Thank you.
Hi fozdigital
Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.
You can use any taxonomy crawling plugin/mega menu for that, but it will not be a filter by any means if it works based on your description.
Taxonomy crawler and filtering are different things. For example, you want to choose multiple category filters at the same time on a certain page or only want to display posts that have the category gold + watch, not separately gold or watch. Crawler won’t help here.
As far as we know about typical good practices when building such sites, there is a catalog usually a taxonomy pages list, and in each taxonomy page, they have detailed filters, so they are not navigating on the site with the filter they navigate by taxonomy crawler/mega menu and only on those pages use detailed filters with all of the possible attributes.
In general, a refund is possible with the correct form from the account where the plugin was purchased. Please note that the support team is not working on the refunds.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Is there a way to speed up the filtering, after every filter change there is loading pages / icons , seemingly regardless of settings in the plugin? Is there any way to remove these / recommendations to speed it up more? Thank you
Hi mikewing94
Can you please provide more detailed information on what you mean by the “loading pages/icons” We are a bit confused about the exact issue.
Also, you can send a link to the video with the issue or any screens, or a link to the page with the issue with instructions on how we can recreate it.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Here is a video, the client is basically just wanting to improve the speed I think if the loading wasn’t as obvious on the changes this would make a difference / the speed of the queries seem quite slow, even using a VPS with decent specs etc thanks https://youtu.be/sRJ5RpN0m4k
Not even sure what we can recommend here, it is filtering quite fast. It cannot be instant just choose a filter and it will immediately filter posts in 0.01sec. You can try to use OPCache, Redis/Memcache in order to speed it up.
Best Regards,
- Victor
Thank you, it seemed slower on their screen recording I suspect the internet connection will be affecting this too, we are looking at using Memcache to help with this also. Thanks for the help
Yes, definitely it could be the internet connection, because, on your video, it was quite fast. If you open any online shops, there will be the same or even x2-4 times slower speed. But we have clients that did fantastic optimizations on their sites, and it is working almost instantly. Unfortunately, they do not share their optimization techniques.

We’ve just purchased the pro version of Filter Everything which i’m trying to get working with our WP site which is using the Avada Theme through the Postcards module.
I’ve built a basic ‘Meet the Team’ page using ACF and is working fine. I’ve created a filter set using FE and when I include the filter on the page (via shortcode) I’m getting the message ‘No one filter set is related to this page’
Please can you help to what might be causing this issue?
