I absolutely love this plugin – so quick and easy to set up!!!!
However, I seem to get this warning after I activated plugin:
Warning: call_user_func() [function.call-user-func]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback in /home/*/public_html/**/wp-includes/shortcodes.php on line 236
Where do you get this error? Can you show me a link?
Hi, sent you a message via profile. Thanks
Ok.
I sent you link to my site with error message but I haven’t heard back from you!!
Have you had a chance to look at at the problem?
Thanks
I haven’t got your email! I searched for ‘fenella’ and I don’t have a mail in the spam or other place. Can you send it again?
As for the warning: do you use other plugins that interfere with shortcodes? Do you use the native wp [gallery] shortcode next to my shortcode? What happens if you change their order in the post?
Line 236 of that WP file is this:
// enclosing tag - extra parameter return $m[1] . call_user_func( $shortcode_tags[$tag], $attr, $m[5], $tag ) . $m[6];
It works everywhere else, not sure why it’s throwing an error for you. If you use both mine and the WP code, and wish to have the WP one disabled, put it after my code as it’ll disable the WP code.
Hi Firsh,
sent you another message via profile page – hopefully u get it this time.
I have deactivated all plugins except yours and the error is still there!
I am using native wp [gallery] shortcode next to justified shortcode – justified shortcode first then wp shortcode.
When i use wp shortcode first, the error message goes away but it shows both galleries in post – i only want to display justified gallery
thanks
Well if you don’t need the WP [gallery] code there you can just remove it. If you need it for later use (for editing the order of pictures), you can copy it to a place, (or a unused field somewhere below the post editor, custom attribute or the like). If you remove it, does the problem go away?
I removed WP gallery shortcode and the error message has gone!!!
Thanks for your help – such a simple solution but i couldn’t figure it out on my own.
Thanks again.
is there a way to pull only images from a category ? without users clicking and going to the post
Yes there is a ‘Click on a thumbnail links to’, recents_link_to setting that won’t link back to the posts but to the images as a regular gallery. This will use the featured images of posts in a category. Limit the category using ‘recents_include’ setting on that tab.
no-wordpress version exist? I mean standalone version.
No not yet, sorry.
hello how do i upgrade to the latest version ? i remove the previous one and just install this one ?
Yes exactly. Your settings will be kept.
Hello, how can I exclude Articlepicture from the picture gallery?
You need to enter the word, featured into the exclude field in the shortcode editor.
container img, #footer img, #slide img, #slider img, #aside img { visibility: hidden; }
remove this.
Thanks for your quick response, now works fine
Cool!
I got it installed. Apparently it downloads as a zip but must be unpacked to reveal another zip file with a different name which must be uploaded.
Yes that’s how it works, only way to pack it with documentation and source files (that are converted to minified for the plugin zip).
Just purchased the plugin. I downloaded the zip file and tried to use the wordpress installer to upload and install. It says installation failed. I don’t find any installation instructions. What am I doing wrong?
See other.
Just purchased your plugin. Got it installed successfully but I’m unable to add a Flickr User. It says “COMMUNICATING WITH FLICKR. IT SHOULD ONLY TAKE A MOMENT” but it never gets past that.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Thanks for all your help, Firsh. When you say in your plugin description, “Buy with confidence, the author is here to help!”, you aren’t kidding. Highly, highly recommended.
Cheers
Because they could already see my problem? ‘ve Found the albums go but no galleries!

I’ve sent you an email with the CSS fix.
I could not add a Flickr User. It says “COMMUNICATING WITH FLICKR. IT SHOULD ONLY TAKE A MOMENT.”. Then nothing happens after that.
Replied to your email.
HI, i love this plugin but i have to report that the plugin is slowing down the website big time. If i run P3 Plugin Profiler to check plugins inpact on the website speed, Justified Image Grid is the one that slow down the website. see it your self: www.goldenglobes.org
here you can see the p3 plugin profiler result”
Do you know of any issues or conflict with any other plugins?
Thanks, Max
Does it slow the site down by 5sec in practice? Something’s wrong there. I haven’t experienced this yet. It could be that it has more weight than your other plugins. It communicates a lot with the database. What image source are you using? If Flickr or Facebook maybe this meter takes into account the communication time (those are not AJAX based).
i just upload images to wordpress. i’m not using any other source
I have no idea why it doesn’t work for you, I’ve just ran a scan on my test site and here are the good results:
http://postimage.org/image/6m2ynn4vv/full/http://postimage.org/image/9u7g0or5n/full/
Is the database access cached properly, or are there any errors in the server error log?
I don’t know of any conflicts other than that it doesn’t like CDNs (only CloudFlare). But nevertheless something is causing it a slowdown, as this shouldn’t happen at all. Is the database slow for other database-hungry plugins?
Hello, here is the link to my test page. I also tried different templates, it might not.

Hi!
Great gallery. My webmaster is experienced with NextGen and we would like to use Justified Image Grid with NextGen and FancyBox (because fancyBox has thumbnail helper). Couple of pre-sales questions:
- Can fancyBox be used with it? http://fancyapps.com/fancybox/ - If we have to set up link class and/or rel accordingly, how can we do so?
Thank you kindly.
It’s not officially supported but that’s mostly because of licensing options. There are setting in my plugin for the link class and rel, you’ll need to check what values does fancy require and set them so, it shoud work.
Hello, I installed WordPress 3.5 with Nextgen and Justified ImageGrid new. Unfortunately, I keep getting the error message
The element is invisible or too thin. Tabs/AJAX sites are unsupported. (Justified Image Grid)
Can you help me?
Can you show me the link? You can also do it privately from my profile. Hopefully it’s just a simple CSS fix.
Well, all other plugins that support custom post types are recognizing my custom post types, except Justified Image Grid. Is anything I have to check? Any line of code to add?
Also, custom post types are using featured images.
Thank you
I’m looking forward to fixing this for you. Contact me through my profile for more info.
Hi, already sent you a message through your profile.
Replied.
Hello, just bougth the plugin.
Please, my custom post types are not being added to the options at the short code editor. Is anything else I need to do? The documentation says “Requires Theme Support”. What does it mean?
Thank you
The custom post types should be registered properly (I get them with a standard WP function). Furthermore they should all make use of the featured image capability.
Hi Firsh!
Thank You! You was right. The problem was Site URL. Now I can piblish my pictures.
Mary Chrismas $ Happy New Year!
Cool!
Hi,
Is there anyway to stop the image description stripping out the html?
I need to link back to Flickr to credit an author, but when I create a link in the Description box it only returns the text with no link.
Hope that makes sense,
thanks again for this great plugin
No a link in the catpion is not valid. It can be enabled by a customized version but only inside prettyphoto. I can send you that in a few days, just send me a mail from my profile.
