Hi,

I have made my filter sets, and its able to pick up my custom fields, however it displays “0” for all filter options even though there are custom post types with fields values. Why is this?

You simply create a loop grid as you would in Elementor. All you need to do is place the filter widget on that page from the “WORDPRESS” section in Elementor and create a filter set that is placed on “pages” + “name of the page you need” from the “Where to filter” dropdown and choose the needed query from “And what to filter”.

Worked like a charm. Thanks Victor.

Last question: Is it possible to multiselect in the dropdowns somehow? Or do you recommend using checkboxes instead?

There is no dropdown with checkboxes, but you can use checkboxes, or restyle them to your need using template overriding checboxes.php – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/templates-overriding/

Hi

I still have some trouble with the filters, i did whats been said here: https://filtereverything.pro/resources/with-wpml-polylang/

I also resetted all cache etc but the filter is only showing up in the default website language (English).

Before i changed it like in the webpage it did show everywhere and worked fine but hte only thing is, it did not translate the filter lables even though i did translate them.

Please help me fix it :)

Kind regards Melle

Hi Melle,

Please provide details on the configuration used in the filter sets.

By any chance, the main filter set as well as those translated ones with WPML are placed on the “Any Category”?

Hello,

I am having trouble with a plugin conflict. We are running a wordpress multisite and are using WordPress Multisite Sync. When WordPress Multisite Sync and Filter everything are active we can’t add or edit the filters. I think this may be to do with the post meta information, there is an option to exclude a post meta type from the sync, so this might work if you can tell me if your plugin uses this and what it is?

Thanks for your help!

Hi markl130,

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

Unfortunately, we are unfamiliar with the “WordPress Multisite Sync” plugin and have not encountered it during our work. Can you please provide additional details regarding the plugin to which you are referring?

Am I missing the “reset” button enable? Everything works great now but I have no “reset” button to reset all filter back for the user. I checked settings?

Hi StainOnRug,

Well, the reset is in the chips, for example, you can see it here in the chips – https://demo.filtereverything.pro/product-category/clothing/women/color-red/brand-hm/c-kind-dress/?max_price=100 there will be a reset button.

Or you can turn on the apply button mode, and there will be “apply” and “reset” buttons first choose all of the filter terms then hit “apply” to filter the page.

Hello,

Is there dropdown multiselect option available, I saw post from 2 years ago that you work on this feature, but I still can’t find it.

Thank you!

Hi genov1824,

No, there is no such option, but we added a template overriding feature so you can modify templates in any way you would like to see them on the page. More about it you can read here – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/templates-overriding/

Hello,

We are using attributes to facilitate product categorization on the Product page. While the categorization of products is functioning correctly, we’re encountering an issue where, upon attempting to navigate to the next page from the categorized products, the product categorization resets, displaying all products once again.

For instance, on the page you provided, there are 14 products under the category “Look-Concrete.” Since only 12 products are displayed per page, when navigating to page 2 to view the remaining 2 products, the product categorization disappears, and all products are shown.

https://bellariatiles.com/all-products/look-concrete

Please advise on how to resolve this problem.

Thank you.

Hi funpeas,

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

Something is wrong with your pagination because this way it works correctly – https://bellariatiles.com/all-products/look-concrete/page/2/ your presented pagination on the page is lost somewhere and does strange things when you click on it, instead of sending to the correct URL. Unfortunately, this is not related to our plugin.

But since you are using Woo on your page, we would recommend using this plugin for pagination – https://wordpress.org/plugins/load-more-products-for-woocommerce/ as it is 100% compatible with our plugin.

Hi! I’ve an issue with the translation of the filter titles in one filter set. My site is in double languages, italian (the main) and english. The filter is good in italian version, instead in the english version the labels of the filters are in italian and not in english. I’ve translated the filter set but doesn’t work.

Could you help me please?

Thanks!

Hi sbel123,

We have checked the site and see the issue, when the filter is set to “Any Category” it displays across all of the categories in all languages.

Currently, you can set a “filter set” to a specific category, as we did with “Filtro linea Fatti Bene”. Basically, you only need to set it to the parent category, as it will show up in subcategories and it will work correctly with translations set to a specific category as well. Until the development team checks this behavior and applies language recognition when selecting “Any category” in the filter set settings, this is the only way to go.

Best Regards,
- Victor

Ok Victor, so, if I understand right, actually I cannot use one filter in multi categories, but I have to create a single filter for every categories. Then the localization will work.

is it right?

Yes, that is absolutely correct, that is the only way out right now.

We will inform you in this comment thread when the dev team releases a solution for it, so you can use the “Any Category” option for different languages, but it might take some time. Apologies for any inconvenience that it might bring.

Hi guys. I have an error trying to activate my license. Just sent you all the info you need to enter my website tc. Thank you

Hi megrikyan,

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

The plugin is activated and everything is working well.

Best Regards,

That was fast. Thank you!

Hi,

I get an “unknown-error” message when I try to activate my license.

Thank you for the credentials, can you please send the license key as well?

Best Regards,
- Victor

The license was activated and everything is working well.

Best Regards,
- Victor

Thanks for the quick help :))

I disabled Royal Elementor addon pro to allow her to see the filters, because when I activate them from the plugin section the filters disappear. Now I have them activated, but it will no longer see the active filters

Hi maxistudio,

To make it productive and remove all of the confusion, let’s continue the conversation here in this comment thread (I write the answer here under your comment and you write your question under my answer).

Please do not create new comments as long as this is not a new issue. You can write messages under my messages just like we can do it.

Because right now we can’t even get to the first message and what was the starting issue which makes it even more confusing.

Also, you don’t need to send new messages via PM you can just send the message via email since you got our email already, to make it less confusing.

We set the filter set on category pages you can see it here now – https://ferrarigroup.it/categoria-prodotto/pennelli/

Shop filters also working – https://ferrarigroup.it/negozio/

If you need help with something else please let us know under this answer.

Best Regards,
- Victor

Sorry for the confusion, but since I started this discussion last week, I thought the topic wasn’t closed, but was continuing with the one started on Friday.

Ok now the brush category page goes and displays the filters that I couldn’t see before, but the problem now is on the Shop page, where both filters must be present, those for brushes and those for rollers, but those for the rollers have disappeared (they were there before, on the main page of the shop the rollers are also present, not just the brushes) Is it possible to view both sets of filters?

Hi maxistudio,

You need to place all of the needed filters in the shop filter set, so basically for all of the brushes, rollers, etc.

And do the same for the category filter set, just place all of the needed filters in one filter set.

Then you simply can enable “Hide empty filters” so it will hide empty filters on the page. So for example, if there is any category that has products that have only colors, then the rest of the filters will be hidden.

Also, please do not use different filter plugins at the same time, it will add only conflicts.

This plugin is supported by our plugin for infinite scrolling and others – https://wordpress.org/plugins/load-more-products-for-woocommerce/ others might not be compatible.

Hi, We’re using Filter Everything Pro on a Divi site. The Ajax setting doesn’t work. When we change the filter selection, the Posts disappear from the Posts container (it’s empty) the filter results only display if the page is refreshed. Do you know how we can get it to work properly without refreshing the page? Many thanks. The filter works OK without the AJAX turned on but we don’t want to see the page update each time the selection/filter is modified.

Hi Lanx,

We have checked the site and the issue is in the grid display, not sure why but it is creating some sort of wrapper around elements with JS code, so we just turned it off and applied a bit of custom CSS style and everything looks good as new without additional code layer. You can check it in the blog element custom CSS. But you can apply those styles like global or in any other way to load them faster.

Best Regards,
- Victor

Thanks so much Victor. That’s fantastic! I created some extra CSS and everything is now working great! Many thanks!

Hi Lanx,

We are glad to hear that everything is working well.

Unfortunately, when I activate the Royal Elementor addon’s mega menu, filter everything stops working, is there a solution?

However, I tried to add another set of filters in addition to the Rollers one, I added the one for brushes, but neither the old set of existing brush filters, nor the new one created this morning, appear when I view the brushes category. https://ferrarigroup.it/categoria-prodotti/pennelli/ In the new set of filters I changed the name of the fields for safety and I filled in a couple of products (code Y1105 and Y1110) but they don’t appear, what am I doing wrong in the filters?

Hi maxistudio,

We haven’t tested it with the Royal Elementor addon’s mega menu, as we simply do not have it on our hands, we could check it, but we do not have full access to your dashboard, only temporary limited access, so we cannot even check it.

More likely they are not compatible with each other if the Filter Everything stops working after it is turned on.

The price field scroll bar doesn’t work, and we can’t filter by price either.

Hi finetechnology,

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

Here is the setup of the price range slider filter – https://prnt.sc/U8xRkxcFsjB-

If you are using any custom field you need to have a numeric custom field and create it by the meta key of your numeric custom field.

Also can be the issue that you simply choose not correct wuery in the filter set setting in the “And what to filter” so it simply does not get the price data. Change another one and hit update then check if everything is okay.

- Victor

Hello. Can we insert the filter name in the tag of the h1 header. Example: Chairs page if no seo rule is set for the “size” or “color” attribute

Output:

Chairs Size: 22cm, 25cm and others

Or:

Chairs Size: 22cm, 25cm and others Color: Red, Green

//українською

Hi spacetheme,

Вітаю!

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

The thing is, you have a default H1 title and you can write whatever you want in it. If you create an SEO rule for “any color” and “any size”, when you select any single color term and size term from the filter, the SEO rule will work and change the H1 to match the SEO rule data.

This is how it is working. If you want to place the selected filter term names in the H1 you would need to create a custom code, which will basically check the exact selected filter terms and modify the H1 with the needed data.

The needed functions for it can be found here – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/functions/

Also, you might require some hooks just in case you can find them here – https://filtereverything.pro/resources/hooks/

Best Regards,
- Victor

How can I display the selected term without seo rules. Please give a hint.

Hi spacetheme,

Well, in the link that we previously sent you there is a function flrt_selected_filter_terms:

Selected Filters Terms Note: this function works correctly only if it fires after the Main WP_Query. It means after hook ‘pre_get_posts’ fired.

/**
 * @return array|false all selected filters or false
 */
flrt_selected_filter_terms();

You can use it to have an array of selected terms, and then use the title hook and write a code with conditions depending on which terms are selected to modify your H1.

Hi. I am testing the free version and I don’t see how I can start the checkbox hierarchy with collapses for categories with sub-categories. Is there any setting to do so?

Hi chemtu,

As long as you are using the Free version, please post your requests on the WordPress support forum – https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/filter-everything/. All support for the Free version goes there, here is strictly support for the PRO version.

Hello, The Free version ot the plugin works in my site with Elementor using params after ’?’ in URLs for search queries. After buy PRO version, all search queires are SEO friendly now. Is it possible works only with params ’?’ in URLs without “friendly URLs” like the free version?

Best regards.

Hi jruizcantero,

Thank you for choosing Filter Everything PRO.

If you want the same GET URL structure as it is in the Free version you can place this code in the currently active theme functions.php file:

define( 'FLRT_PERMALINKS_ENABLED', false );

Hi, My car listing directory has this model Zeekr 001. The URL for this car is: https://firstev.de/elektroauto/hersteller-Zeekr/modell-001/

But the filter has a problem with it. Can you help me solve this problem?

Thank you in advance! Waldemar

I use ACF Plugin

Perfect, so you need to add the code example in the functions.php file of your current theme. Use the meta key of your custom field in the code right below the comment in this area:

//write needed meta keys here
    $meta_keys = array('your_meta_key_goes_here', 'your_second_meta_key', 'third_meta_key');

This is the custom field meta key – https://prnt.sc/CPAkeRAAfE31 and where you can find it in your ACF field.

Best Regards,

Thank you. It´s working now !

When I activate the filter everything plugin, if I try to view any woocommerce product category, the page no longer shows any products, the links of any category stop working. Can you solve this problem?

Hi maxistudio,

Can you provide full admin access to the dashboard following this document so we can check if it is an issue with the plugin or any other conflict issue?

If you remove some access to the plugins and to the theme file editor, more likely we cannot help as it’s impossible to debug and find the issue without following access.

But first thing first, make sure that you are using a PHP version not higher than 8.1 as other plugins won’t work correctly. Second is that you are using slugs in the URL prefix exactly the same as you did for your categories, but they should be unique or else you will get a 404 error if those slugs are the same.

Best Regards,
- Victor

Dear Victor,

After concluding FilterEverything does not work on default Wordpress archives (only categories), and seeing bugs in the software, we requested a refund, which you rejected. We therefore filed a dispute with Envato, but no matter the outcome we want to remove the FilterEverything plugin from our website.

However, when we try to remove it, no matter in which order FilterEverything first or FilterEverything Pro first, the FilterEverything Pro deleting does not work.

The deletion process keeps running forever, without success.

We have 22 years of experience with web development and 16 years with Wordpress, but we haven’t seen this before. Our website is a clean install with only the ACF plugin installed, so this can not be a conflict between plugins. We also made sure to delete all filters/facets and filter sets, even from the trash, before starting the deletion of the plugin.

We will delete the plugin via the database and files. We just wanted to let you know because you may want to look into this, it may be an issue that needs to be addressed for future releases.

Many thanks, Terry

Hello Terry.

Thank you for your report and for choosing and a civilized way to resolve the dispute. CodeCanyon’s modrator will make final and most fair decision.

Thank you.
Regards.

hello, please I just wanna know if “FILTER EVERYTHING” is compatible avec this template: http://preview.themeforest.net/item/photography-full-screen-photography-portfolio-photo-story-blog-shop-for-creative-professionals/full_screen_preview/11413730? _ga=2.240895424.254789838.1695201803-385665569.1690701548 Thank youu

Hi TidMed,

Based on our experience, we are confident that it should be compatible without using AJAX. However, if AJAX is used and the template has jQuery events attached to certain elements, it may require reattachment of those events after the page is updated with AJAX. You can find more information about this issue at https://filtereverything.pro/resources/ajax-related-problems/

Best Regards,
- Victor

Hello, please when I asked you before about a compatibility with a template that I mentionned before, you told me that I can use a free version of the plugin so I can test it if it is working correctly for my template. But I couldn’t find the free version. how can I use it please ? Thank youu

Hi TidMed

You can find it with the search in WordPress plugins – https://prnt.sc/bLZP_HmAgX-w and install it from there.

- Victor
