This looks like a conflict with taxonomies plugins on your site. As soon as it is visible duplicate and does not really exist on the site and in the database. Try to disable 3rd party plugins on your site on by one. Also try to clear cache (if any caching system installed on the wordpress).

The problem is that solution was implemented into the file which we are going to add for the major update soon, there is new search system in the plugin. Would you like to test it?

This is the problem we are having. When we include the shortcode [webdirectory-dashboard] on the /test page, it is creating a weird redirect, the same as you are seeing.

I have recorded a video in loom to show you what is happening. As soon as I remove the shortcode, the page loads just fine…. but with the shortcode on the page (with no other shortcodes), it either redirects, or just loads a blank page with no login page.

And yes, before you ask – front end submission and login is active. It used to work just fine.. but recently this particular page has stopped working, and the shortcode seems to be causing something strange to happen.

We are upgraded to the newest version of wordpress, and the plugin, and I have also turned off other plugins to rule out a conflict but have so far come up empty.

in order to disable description field – you need to disable it at the Listings settings tab, “Enable description field” setting. This will disable description field for all listings at the directory.

Hello, in this case you need to create textarea content field at the Directory Admin -> Content fields page. So you can manage which levels have this field.

Probably you missed some files during update.

Manual update

It would be better to make backups of the database and all plugin files before update. All your configurations, settings and data will be saved after update, you will not lose anything. Do not forget to clear cache of your site (if any caching system is used) and in the browser. Files modifications must follow customization instructions, in this case they will be saved during update. Your translated languages files must be saved in "wp-content/languages/plugins/" folder.

First of all download the latest version of the plugin from Codecanyon.
Simply unpack the archive with new version and upload all new files and folders from w2dc/ folder to your plugin folder on the host (usually the name of this folder on the host is "wp-content/plugins/w2dc/")

That is all, the system will automatically execute all needed operations. All files and folders must be uploaded using FTP-client (like FileZilla) or using file manager in your hosting control panel.

If you have any problems after update – double check you uploaded all new files and did not miss any file or folder. Do not forget to clear cache of your site (if any caching system is used) and in the browser.

I’ve loaded the plugin manually with FileZilla and made sure to use Source. I’ve confirmed the plugin in active, deleted the cache, but still the same.

The code you have find is not persist in the latest version of the plugin, this is because some file were not updated.

My [webdirectory-listing-page] isn’t working on my Elementor (Archive Author) template page for some reason. And I can’t seem to find the default page of the single listing to either delete or change it so it connects to all of my listings.

Only ‘Edit Listing’ shows as far as editing. I already have the template (Archive Author page mentioned above) set with the [webdirectory-listing-page] code and the way I want it to look, but when I click on a listing from the main directory page it takes me back to the default single page.

“Default page of the single listing” is the page with [webdirectory-listing-page] shortcode. As soon as you’ve placed this shortcode on the page now it uses that page as a template for any single listing. You can style and manage this page the way you want it to look.

Gonna ask these questions again: 1. I have three (3) primary categories called People, Places, and Things. Under each category I have sub-categories. If I use this shortcode: [webdirectory-categories grid=1 grid_view=1] it displays each of these categories in a grid. I would like to only show random sub-categories from a primary category. So I only want to see sub-categories from People. Is there a shortcode to display sub-categories of a primary category in a grid?
