How to add support for WPBakery Page Builder to a custom post type in the code ?

Right now I have to check the custom post type in the “Role Manager -> Post types” setting every time I log in to the website. If I dont to that, then the custom post type does not support the PageBuilder.

The button message “You are using outdated element, it is deprecated since version 4.5.” is rather madness – please provide an option to upgrade all deprecated elements to new ones – WITHOUT any other action to keep them LOOKING the same (no adding class etc…) – you seriously can not expect users to recreate all their buttons all over the site. Anyway this current version is working more smoothly then versions before, so it would be pitty if users would be bullied. Of course “I” know how to bypass this, but common end user does not…

Hello, I have a quick question. I use vc_add_default_templates() function to add custom template. When Vc inserts the custom template, it outputs all the quotes sanitized ending up with broken shortcode and html because of quotes converted to html entities. Referring to esc_html() function used in getBackendDefaultTemplate public method of the Vc_Templates_Panel_Editor class (class-vc-add-element-box.php) Have you gotten any planned workaround or fix or remedy on this issue? Please add an option to remove loading of Google Fonts. Your current implementation is a nightmare for all European website owners. They way you load Google fonts in your vc_custom_heading.php makes it ridiculous hard to get rid-off!!! Please add an option/filter to avoid loading Google Fonts!!

After the 6.4 update we faced the problem that style added to page custom CSS http://prntscr.com/opw8xl is enqueued before other styles and does not overwrite default styles any more http://prntscr.com/opw9me Do you have solution to fix this because we don’t want to edit every page created before this update to add !important for the every custom style to apply necessary changes?

+ sign hover label in plugin has incorrect instruction

In the editor of WordPress where we use the WP Bakery plugin, there is a “plus sign” at the top and bottom of a row or column, which means to add something. When the cursor hovers over that symbol, the label says “Prepend this column”. It says “prepend” to both the top “plus sign” and bottom “plus sign”.

For the bottom one, the label is incorrect, because adding an element at that point actually “appended” to the column, not prepended.

Thus the feedback. To change that label to say “Append…” which would be correct word.

The versions 6.0.3, 6.0.4 and 6.0.5 of WPBakery Page Builder for WordPress have conflicts with the Slider Revolution Responsive WordPress Plugin plugin from version 6 to the latest 6.0.9

Anyone experience the [raw] tag appearing on the page? It is doing it to one of my client sites and can’t figure out why. http://www.capecodretirementrealty.com/

Ive had issues when clicking on the ‘save’ button when doing updates to pages the loading icon just spins, and then I am taken to a ‘page not found’ error.

Twice now I have locked out of the backend of the website when this happens.

I have looked around and see that Visual Composer scaffolding that the home page uses is not working correctly. I tried removing the Ultimate Carousel but the error persisted. The error only disappeared and allowed me to save when I removed every tag that had a “[vc_” element in it.

the current Ultimate Add-ons version our website is running is version 3.16.6. When I try to update the plugin, I get an “update-fails”. I type in the information, then the circle spins round and round and doesn’t go anywhere.

Please advise.

As others have said in the comments, you have a serious bug with custom CSS in the two most recent releases. 6.0.4 and 6.0.5.

The “vc_custom-css” and “vc_shortcodes-custom-css” added on specific pages now outputs at the very top of the HTML just inside the <head> tag.

As a result, any custom CSS actually gets overridden by the theme and plugin CSS, making this feature useless in many situations.

This is a real issue, and one that should be fixed, regardless of whether or not people have purchased the plugin and have support, so please don’t just post a generic response to visit the official support page.

I build websites as a business, and I used Bootstrap before, yet I had to sit and think about this method of reference you made in WP Bakery.

What threw me was these type of references: ” 5 columns – 5/12 ”, when making a comparison to the other references like “4 columns – 1/3”.

I finally figured it out, at least I hope I did. It is based on a 12 grid layout, which is Bootstrap. The number of columns have to add up to 12 grids.

Then… that reference means an element that is 5 columns wide takes up 5 grids of the available 12 grids. So a 5 column wide element is done only once per row of 12 grids.

The math in this reference says “5 columns is the same as 5 grids, leaving a space of 7 grids left unused to equal the total of 12 grids”. (cannot divide 5 into 12, so space is left on either side).

So this reference “4 columns – 1/3” says means “4 columns, each one taking up 3 grids. By the math is works to “4 columns x 3 grids = 12 grids” (4 columns 3x).

For the average person, this is really confusing because the average person does not know “Bootstrap” grid design and neither will they figure it out. I think jacksoncwwong was one of the rare few, unless he has previous knowledge of Bootstrap.

In your reply to him 4yrs ago, you said you will work on improving the information about this column reference. I see that you have not, over the 4 yrs, at least I have not found any explanation at all except for here.

I suggest you do work on it now. And use image references in your documentation. to explain this column reference, which is confusing.

Suggestion
When making references like you have, the best way is to establish a base reference that works for all sceneros. So when someone looks at the reference, most can figure it out. Best to avoid any technical reference only you understand.

This means your column references have to change. Here are examples,

1 column = 12/12
2 columns = 6/12
3 columns = 4/12
4 columns = 3/12
5 columns = 5/12
6 columns = 2/12
7 columns = 7/12
8 columns = 8/12
(etc).

The fraction reference means #grids a column takes up of the 12 total grids.

Then create documentation to explain it, with images of grids, how they are covered per the references above, etc.
