Hi there! A pre-purchase question:

is it possible to move phisically all media files into uploads’ folder (the wordpress’ root directory), without loss the url media references and without break the attached media links?

Thanks in advance.

Hi there! Real Media Library itself does not allow to physically organize the media library. For this you can use the add-on for Real Media Library “Real Physical Media”: https://matthias-web.com/go/codecanyon/23104206 . And yes, it allows you to put all available media library files to the “Unorganized” folder (= root folder = wp-content/uploads). Best regards, Matthew :-)

Hi, Matthew!

I’ve bought your main plugin (RML) and the physical media add-on (PML).

RML is working fine and I love it! I’m also getting to know PML so I’ll get to you after some time using it.

The main reason I’m using RML is because it’s one of the main options for the WP/LR plugin. So, I’ve also installed your WP/LR Sync Folders (WLSF) add-on from Wordpress.org.

Anytime I activate the WLSF, allthough WP/LR plugin is creating folders for RML, I cannot sync images to them. When I deactivate your WLSF plugin, I can work without problems (creating folders and syncing images).

I can’t also delete the folders I’ve created, so I’m previewing that my “media library” is gonna get real messy. I was wondering if you would be so nice to take a look or give me some insights of what may be happening.

Thank you very much for your time and excuse me for my English (I’m from Argentina).

Regards,

Lucio

Hi Matthew! Sure do! May I send the log section to your support mail?

Done! You may also notice that “Explorer” function in WP/LR Sync is working fine. I’ll wait for your response. Thanks in advance! Regards, Lucio

Hey, good plugin! Is there a way to disable the shortcode (button)? It’s useless in my case and don’t want clients to see or use it. For now I removed the shortcode and hide the button via CSS, but feels a bit hacky. And has the plugin other effects on the frontend? I couldn’t see any (JS, CSS) assets being loaded but want to be sure – it’s only needed for a better overview in the backend.

Hallo!

Sitzt tiefer?... Kannst du trotzdem helfen? Irgendein Tipp?

Hello, Justified image grid shortcodes do not work on latest RML. I get an error Invalid WP Real Media Library ID

Hi there! Can you please download the latest version here from CodeCanyon 4.3? Uninstall the old version and install the new one, the folders should stay. Perhaps you need to do a manual migration step in Settings > Media > Tab “Migration”. Best regards, Matthew :-)

boom – the migration was it. Thank you so much!

Nice to hear that it now works for you. :-)

Hi, is possibile to use the same regular license (of real media library) for two website (with the same theme) but that is on two second-level domain?? Thanks

Hi there! You are allowed to use one license for two WordPress sites: Test and Productive website. But you can also use it for a subdomain when it does not exceed 2 WP installs and it’s associated thematically. Best regards, Matthew :-)

Hallo! Welche Version des Plugins verwendest Du? Beste Grüße, Matthias :-)

Subscribe newsletter · Twitter · Facebook · Support

Hi,

Is it possible to remove the delete folder option from the users, Only admin should have access to it?

Are you planning to release an add-on for such restrictions for the plugin? Thanks for your words! :-)

Why not, I might do that in my free time.

If you want we can discuss this further in slack https://matthias-web.com/slack Regards, Matthew :-)

I need some help. I’m rebuilding a client’s old website on the Wordpress platform, and since they old website had a fully featured Gallery function, I was very pleased to read that Real Media Library provided all these same features.

I read the docs, watched the video, worked carefully, created new Page, clicked the new button and got the short code I expected,

[folder-gallery fid=“6” columns=“4” orderby=“rml”]

but when I view the actual website, these 24 images display as a single column of thumbnails with no features! No scrolling, no lightbox!

Here is a link to what I got: http://lgo.210.myftpupload.com/gallery/

The site is built with WordPress 5.1.1 running [Buildr] theme.

What is wrong?

Thanks in advance for your time and any help you can provide.

Hi there! What happens if you are using the default WordPress gallery by “Add Media > Create Gallery” and selecting single images? Best regards, Matthew :-)

When I use the default WordPress gallery by “Add Media > Create Gallery” and select single images, I get the same sort of single vertical column of thumbnail images.

I think this is an issue with your theme because Real Media Library uses the same gallery functionality as “Add Media > Create gallery” but dynamically. Perhaps it is worth to contact your theme developers. Best regards, Matthew :-)

Hi,

I am using Wordpress in the newest version and divi. what I can’t do is to choose an image while I am editing an article. also it is not possible to upload images to special folders. Is it an chmod-problem or a problem with the divi theme?

*Hust….

Hello,

Some of my images have been copied instead of relocating to the new folder. Do you have any idea why does it happen?

Hi there! What version of the plugin are you using? Best regards, Matthew :-)

Hi Matthias, I have been using RML for a long time and love it. Recently I updated some plugins, including yours, which I hadn’t for along time. All of a sudden I was getting problems with Audio controls and Videos not loading properly. I use the well known Media Grid plugin. I went through everything and found that if I deactvate RML eveyrthing works well, but if I reactivate it then I get the Audio control problem and videos not loading.

Matthias I have a video of the problem. How should I get it to you?

Thank you Matthias, for all your help with my problem. Great support.

Hello there,

thank you for this amazing Plugin.

I just added some folders which worked great.

I was then looking for the folders I checked the path:

http://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2019/03

Will every new folder that I created placed by month?

So if create a new folder in April 2019, will it be placed in:

http://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2019/04?

If so, this would sort of ruin my structure that I have planned….

Is it possible to place all folders in:

http://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/

?

Kindest regards

and thx for this well made plugin

Why is WordPress Real Media Library crunching the files? Out of one Image there will 11 different versions…. is there a way to turn this off? kindest regards

Hallo!

Hello,

because auto-update wasn’t working in the past, our current version is 3.4.8. When trying to upgrade to the newest version now, all folders get lost?

The upgrade-Option in WP-Settings => Media also is only for an earlier Version-upgrade.

How may we upgrade now without loosing all our work?

Rolled back currently.

Kind regards, Dominik

Hallo!

I would like to restrict access to the folders and or ability to delete. Do you have an overview of the wordpress capabilities of this plugin so I can restrict it with AAM?

Hi there! Sorry for my delayed answer. Currently Real Media Library does not create any capabilities. There are actions/filters for developers atm so they can restrict access to folders. Best regards, Matthew :-)

I’m creating the website on a sub domain of my company then the website I will need to move to the client website, can I then deactive and reactive the licence?

Hi there! You can activate one license on two sites which associates each other: the development / test Site and the production site. Best regards, Matthew :-)

Hi

We have installed the latest version of your plugin on WordPress 5.1.1. When we try to replace an image in the content section of a post (classic editor used), the media library shows only the existing image. This only occurs if the Real Media Library plugin is activated.

The procedure is as follows: - The image was inserted using the “Add media” button. The media library is displayed correctly. - To replace the image, we click on the image, click on the “Edit” button followed by the “replace” button. This opens the media library, which shows only the current image.

Hope you can help us. Many thanks!

Hi there! Sorry for the delayed answer. Unfortunely I do not exactly understand. Can you please share a screencast video with me so I can reprocedure the problem? Best regards, Matthew :-)
