I require my documents to be shown in the front end. The best way I could find to do this was by using the Document Gallery plugin, with code like this:

It seems that I have to do this for every child category individually; I can’t just do it for the parent category as I had hoped. You can see the result of it here:

Hi there! Sorry for my late response. At the moment Document Gallery only supports one level. Perhaps you can ask the developer of that plugin to add the feature for nested levels.

Update of the Divi Theme: Divi Version: 3.20.2 Von Elegant Themes today has lead to the disappearance of the Real Media Library when editing Website pages with the Divi Builder. The Real Media Library is otherwise accessible, but in the Divi Builder one is confronted with the unsorted media jumble that defaults with WordPress.
Will there be an update to solve this issue?

Does the file wp-content/plugins/real-media-library/inc/base/Base.class.php exist? What’s your PHP version?
The file exists. The IIS server is running PHP 7.2.7. The zip file was downloaded from this site.
Any thoughts what the issue could be?

I’d like to suggest a Google Drive integration addon like the WP Media Folder addon plugin offers. Not importing media but linking from Google Drive in the Media Library. Wouldn’t that be nice?

Hi Matthias, well, you can import images from your Google Drive and have them in your media library on your hosting server but you could also show them in your media library and not importing them like Global Gallery does and maybe you’ve heard from this other “WP Media Folder” plugin which addon offers this too.
I don’t know how to label this else than “remote / external linking” ?

If I understand correct it does not mean a “sync” between Google Drive and the media library, rather an import functionality to import Google Drive files to your WordPress media library / server. Should the files then be served over Google Drive? Regards, Matthew

if you are familiar with the Global Gallery plugin you know you can make galleries filled with images and show them in your website which are ONLY residing on your Google Drive and NOT on your own server right?
Well that is the functionality which I would like to see in RML.

Read carefully because this addon offers BOTH functionalities: LINK and import physically !! I’m interested in linking where the images will be loaded in your WordPress content using the Google servers.
I’ve tried this plugin and it works rather nice.
So images stay on Google Drive and are remotely or external linked to show in your WP library or in Global Gallery it’s case, inside the plugin where you can work with them to show them everywhere on your site.
The images DO NOT get imported physically on your website host-server.

Hi again! Generelly it is a good idea but there are Pros and Cons for such an integration. In this case I would like to quote another developer who knows a lot of outsourcing images to alternative storages:
WP Offload Media is kind of a hack for WordPress, and therefore, many plugins will fail, especially the ones modifying or updating your files.- Jordy Meow, https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-offload-media/I recommend you to use a very good CDN, in order to keep the advantages of having your files under WordPress and to enjoy the speed of a CDN. Anyway, uploading your photos on S3 or somewhere else will not make it faster than your WordPress hosting (except if it’s really a bad one), you will always need a CDN so I am not sure what’s the advantages (especially over the cons) are. I don’t want to blame the plugin, I am sure it can be used in certain cases (if WordPress is used as a simple system to keep a lot of photos for example, but not a real website), but generally, I don’t think it should be.
That said, the day WordPress allows officially to keep files in a remote service, the WordPress API will support it and all the plugins will work with it. So I would be you, I would wait for that day, and/or simply use a good CDN.
I think he is right about remote stored images. I always recommend using a good CDN like Cloudflare – which is very easy to setup and free.

Are you planning to move to a different site as codecanyon support pricing is just over the top. New license + 6 month additional support = 32.50 , 12 month support 25, that’s about 78% . 50% is what I consider a fair amount, so please think about it as I do think its a great plugin.

Na die im Adminbereich. Wenn ich im Backend auf MEDIATHEK gehe dann wird ja “dein Plugin” links von den Bildern angezeigt und da gibt es doch ein Suchfeld. Oder gibt es noch eins? Bei mir gibt es da ein Suchfeld unterhalb des Ordner UNORGANISIERT… Was passiert eigentlich, wenn man das Plugin deaktiviert bzw. komplett deinstalliert? Bleiben alle Bildereinstellungen beim alten, oder?

Diese Suche ist für Ordner. Du musst Die Standard-WordPress-Suche für die Bilder / Dateien verwenden. Diese Suchfunktionalität wird nicht von der Real Media Library bereitgestellt. Beste Grüße, Matthias

Hi Matthias, ich habe Version 4.2.0. Derzeit deaktiviert, da ich sonst nix mehr machen kann. Die Bilderanzahl bleibt stehen, egal ob ein Bild in der Karegorie drin ist oder nicht. Zudem kann kein Bild hochgeladen werden ( <bildname> HTTP-Fehler) Ein weiteres Phänomen ist die Tatsache, das die Bilder zwar da zu sein scheinen, jedoch es keine Vorschau gibt. Hmm… hast du eine Idee?
