Hi,

I got the gallery for Facebook gallery, but didn’t realise that to make this work, you have to have a SSL certificate installed. Is it possible to get a refund.

thanks!

You can, but consider that this is a FB limitation. You are going to need ssl anyway as the trend is to punish sites with regular http (by Google). You can get free SSL through Cloudflare or probably by your hosting. It’s really not a big deal.

Hi, I want to build a gallery using external images using a shortcode. It would be a 0 margin grid with infinite scroll and social links including my own custom icons to my other sites. So, in one post, I could drop in let’s say 100 images. Please show me the shortcode for this. Can JIG do this? j

The shortcode editor will show you the code, but what kind of external images would you use and where would they come from? Maybe you need a gallery based on RSS/XML. Where would the custom icons appear?

My support ended and this code doesn’t work any more: jQuery(window).load(function(){ var jigs = jQuery(’.justified-image-grid’); if(jigs.length !== 0){ jigs.data(‘justifiedImageGrid’).createGallery(‘resize’); } }); Without this code my Image grid is only on half of the screen, but with code it’s acting weard. my website is: https://www.orangelemur.com/gallery/

Could you help? and if I pay for extra support will you help me?

Don’t worry about support. On your site, the only thing that creates vertical height (therfore triggers the scrollbar) is JIG itself. In this situation the JIG-less site width is wider by the scrollbar amount. It can cause JIG to appear too wide, once the scrollbar appears. You can prevent this by utilizing the “min height to avoid jumping” setting and with a value of around 500.

I could fix the mobile issue, but now my captions are not display any more: https://www.hello-planet.at/travelgram/ Can you maybe help me with that? Allt the best, Daniel

fixed it, thx!

Hi, is it possible to reset my license

Your 4 licenses are now released from the previously bound hosts. https://justifiedgrid.com/support/faq/your-license-has-been-reset-what-does-it-mean/

Hello, can you please reset my license? I changed my domain.

Many Thanks

Hello.

I have image grid on a site which i developed a few months ago, but for the life of me i cannot remember how i got the product categories to display. I want to load the page that contains the products in that specific category. The shortcode i used is as follows: [justified_image_grid ids=”216,217,218,205,225,224,223,222”] But those are not the IDs for the product categories so i am really confused now. When i use recent posts, the “success stories” posts come up and not the product categories.

If you are showing posts, then that shortcode with ids is not good. Use only the Recent posts tab in the shortcode editor: https://justifiedgrid.com/sources/wordpress/recent-posts-pages/#!jig[5]/ML/19175

And look for “include category” or “filter by taxonomy” + “taxonomy filter term”.

Hi, I uploaded a lot of new photos to a Flickr album, and deleted a lot of photos from the same album and the photostream.

On flickr the album is shown like I want it, but on my blog only 1 picture is shown.

The shortcode I use is :

[justified_image_grid preset=c1 mobile_preset=c2 title_field=Title flickr_user=57246212@N08 flickr_photoset=72157680126214560 flickr_caching=10]

The Flickr Album is:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/57246212@N08/sets/72157680126214560

The page on my blog where JIG should show the Album is:

http://www.edvervanzijnbed.nl/gigapic/

I tried purging W3Total cache all caches

Hope you can help.

Does it change anything if you change the row height to a large number like 800? There are some issues with the Facebook API that serves middle-sized image data.

I solved the problem, I feel very silly. But the LIghtroom plugin uploaded the photos and set them to private. So when I found out and set them to public the problem was solved. Had nothing to do with your great plugin.

Ah okay!

Dear Author,

I have just tried to use your Plugin with WPBakery. Unfortunately, I have absolutely no idea how to create a gallery with it as when I add the JIG component through the VC in WPBakery, there is only options to create a short code, but no where can you create a gallery.

All I am trying to create, is a simply Gallery with some photos and Category filtering.

Thanks,

If you want to use category filtering, that means you have categories on your photos. Therefore, you can create a category-based gallery so you don’t need to give JIG a list of image IDS. That’s what the visual picker would do if you were to use the normal WP gallery “Add Media” dialog, and let JIG take over those automatically.

You can give comma separated category list to JIG’s image categories setting in the shortcode: https://justifiedgrid.com/sources/wordpress/images-by-taxonomy/

Then, coincidentally, you’ll be able to frontend-filter those same categories.

My purchase code: db47403d-3bcd-407d-a8ce-f67d5a47f032

The JIG plugin says it’s being used on another site that I own. However, when I check on that site, the plugin is NOT installed.

JIG is running on site131.com. This is where it’s supposed to be running.

JIG says it’s running on timchumley.com. But it’s not installed here.

Please advise.

can i sell images with this plugin??

You need a 3rd party plugin for ecommerce features, such as WooCommerce.

Can i sell images with JIG+woocommerce??

JIG can show a gallery of WooCommerce content with price, that’s it. How you sell images is up to WooCommerce itself. https://justifiedgrid.com/sources/wordpress/custom-post-types/

If I choose to show a grid as `Random’ – how long before it is randomised again? If I visit it now it comes up in a random order but if I refresh or Force refresh the order stays the same. How long before a new random order is displayed?

Yes, but you also lose the caching then. Does a visitor repeatedly check the page for new randomness? Because any given visitor that checks the page only once, can’t tell whether it’s a one-time cached random or an everytime random. Maybe true randomness only concerns you as the owner and they’d rather have the speed benefit from caching? We have some random on the demo site (2 testimonials at the bottom of every page) that are cache-purged every now and then, but for a while, everybody sees the same random.

You’re correct, or course as I am checking I am picking up it not randomising, the general customer wouldn’t care. I will set it up to cache-purge every hour or so so if the same customer comes back the next day etc it will again be randon!

You could set up not just purge but auto priming. That visits the site and prepares the new cache every now and then.

Only some of the albums are showing in my collection. This is the collection: https://www.flickr.com/photos/newforesthog/collections/72157675661048948/ This is the page with it on: http://www.newforesthog.co.uk/project/2018/

This is the short code: [justified_image_grid flickr_user=124625365@N06 flickr_collection=124580043-72157675661048948 limit=0]

In addition if I click on any of the albums it is missing most of the pictures: http://www.newforesthog.co.uk/project/2018/flickr-content/72157700279469532/

I emailed from you profile page 3 days ago. Did you get it? I’ve not had any reply about getting the beta version?

Sorry, it’s still in progress, you’ll receive the ZIP once the problem is solved.

Turns out it was Flickr not setting the permissions consistently. After doing a batch edit and re-setting the permissions to public, now everything works. No fault with the plugin. Sorry!

Hi,

I purchased Justified Image Grid but have added the license code to the wrong website:

I have it on www.123photography.co.uk but I want it on www.v-photography.co.uk

Please can you assist?

many thanks! Dan

Your license is now released from the previously bound host. https://justifiedgrid.com/support/faq/your-license-has-been-reset-what-does-it-mean/

Now that the Google Photos Library API has been released (see https://developers.googleblog.com/2018/09/build-new-experiences-with-google.html and https://developers.google.com/photos/), will you consider adding support for Google Photos as image source for Justified Image Grid?

We’ve taken a look in May, and there was a problem of the image URLs only working for an hour. If you need more technical explanation contact us from our profile.

Hello, a pre-sale question,

does your plugin synchronizes automatically when new content is posted on Facebook? Or do we have to click on a button in order to?

Thanks.

It’s automatic.

Thank you for your quick answer.

Looks like this is not compatible with WordPress 5.0. We are not going to be using the default editor and sticking with blocks. Since the new version does not use a shortcode the auto-take over option does not work either.

Any hope on adding compatibility soon?

We’ll upgrade or extend the auto take over feature to affect the gallery that is inserted through Gutenberg. What do you mean by not using the default editor but still sticking with blocks? Do you mean Gutenberg? Because that’ll be the new default as far as we know.

Hello!

We are encountering an issue since a few days…

Our photo gallery isn’t working anymore:

https://deephousebelgium.be/photo-galleries/

Justified Image Grid: The Facebook content cannot be displayed, the error from Facebook: Error: OAuthException Code: 10, (#10) To use ‘Page Public Content Access’, your use of this endpoint must be reviewed and approved by Facebook. To submit this ‘Page Public Content Access’ feature for review please read our documentation on reviewable features: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/review.

And also: justified image grid To use ‘Page Public Content Access’, your use of this endpoint must be reviewed and approved by Facebook

But it was working a few days ago…

Our support is still valid (already contacted you about other issues)

Thanks in advance for your help!

What version of JIG do you have? Have you re-followed the new instructions on the Facebook tab? You do not need to have the app approved.

We are running version 3.9.1. I followed all instructions from the facebook tab… and it was working a few days ago…

We’ll continue this in the email thread.
