Hello,

I am using Bookly on my website niagarascooterrentals.com

After recent updates I am receiving a 500 internal server error. I’ve narrowed down the issue to Bookly (deactivated and reactivated every plugin individually. etc.)
  • Note I have had to make Bookly go thru woocommerce because tax could not be charged on the bookly plugin

The issue occurs after a client fills out bookly form, fills out details and go to the payment page (which redirects them to their cart), they press check out on the cart and go to billing details. In the billing details, they fill out their info (billing details and CC info) and press PLACE ORDER. this is where the issue occurs, the error INTERNAL 500 ERROR occurs .., however, the people are still billed and their order goes thru BOOKLY as if everything is okay.

How can we fix this situation?

1. Is its possible to not make email a required input in the plugin? Some old clients in my spa, do not have email. 2. The client can BOOK MORE in the front end, but I cannot do that in the backend. Please help?

1. These fields can’t be removed, they are mandatory: name, phone, and email.

2. You’ll need to create another appointment in this case.

No problem with query 1. But I think you guys should add the ability to BOOK MORE in the backend in your next update. You do allow booking appointments in backend, but it makes sense to be able to book more services for the client than having to make several bookings at once.

Hello !

I just bought a version of Bookly and I have a small problem :

The symbol of the price ( € in my case ) is coming before the amount (It should be after)

I couldn’t find how to change it in the settings (you should really add this features !)

Can you tell me in wich PHP file, I can find the function.

Hello,

We have some problems with the appointments. When we try to make a new booking in our website, all the steps works fine. When we check the calendar there is no booking in the list, we also dont recive any notification email, only the booking user recives an confrimation email. We tried to save a new booking from the dashboard but it will not save. It used to work before. Can you help?

I’ve saw you’ve many addons to purchase. If I buy the version of 59$ I’ll get the plugin working with all the details it says in the description? Why buying addons like paypal?

Yes, you will receive with all details that you can advertised material. There are add-ons that provide additional functionality which is not included in the main plugin. Depending on your business needs you may need or may not need this functionality.

Hi,

I have one question: We receive a lot of fake users and my question is that it is posible to add two factor Authentication (or capcha) when somebody make the first time his account?

This is only to secure that the email what they use is real.

Hi there, How would I go about the following setup? We’re using Bookly for a driving school where there are 2 driving instructors. Let’s call them Instructor A and Instructor B. They both offer auto and manual lessons (services), but they share the use of the Auto and Manual cars. So we want to set it up so that if Instructor A is selected to do an Auto lesson at 7am for example, we can’t have Instructor B booked for an Auto lesson at that same time, because there is only one Auto car. Instructor B could be booked for a Manual lesson at that time, but not Auto. How can we set it up so that if a service is booked using a certain employee that the other employee can’t be booked for the same service at the same time? Is it possible? To avoid having issues with this setup you will need to create two staff members that will represent the cars, with means that one staff member will provide lessons only with the automatic while the second staff only the manual, otherwise you risk having double bookings.

hello just another question. when i print appointments in the preview I always see two pages even if all the appointments are enough for one page. is there a way to change this? just because every time i waste 1 page just for printing the date

I have just updated to the latest version of Bookly (1.37) and the latest versions of the add-ons – Recurring Appointments (1.4) and Service Schedule (1.5).

I have configured my system to go to Woocommerce (v3.1.1) to complete sales, but none of the booking data is being carried through. I am presented with an empty cart.

hello, i’m using your plugin and it’s very nice… i’m trying to do some customization and i’d like to ask you if it’s possible to hide saturday and sunday from the backend calendar… from the frontend it’s very easy but i’d like to show also in backend only the days that i need to show and only from 8:00 to 21:00.

I’ve found the fullcalendar.js file in your plugin and I’d like to know if that is the right place to do these kind of customization

Currently, this functionality is not supported, you will need to make changes to the code. I advise checking the files from this folder in case you want to make this change: wp-content/plugins/appointment-booking/backend/modules/calendar/resources/js

A quick pre purchase question

Would it be possible for me to disable the time and payment slots if I am looking to create slots for free appointments?

Also, would I be able to create multiple forms with different attributes for different pages?

1) You can hide the payment step, but the time step can’t be hidden. Customers need to choose a time slot in order to book an appointment.

2) You can create customized booking forms changing the shortcode of the form.

I have updated bookly and now when i drop down box to set staff schedule hours it is blank. I can not set any hour or time in the plug in

How do I setup the system to notify the “admin” of a pending appointment?

Hi!

To set the pending status to be the default one, you’ll need to access the settings tab and set for this setting: Default appointment status – Pending status (currently the “Approved” status is set). After this, you need to access settings -> customers -> and here you need to check if the combined notifications are disabled or enabled (currently they’re disabled).

After you are done with settings you need to access the email notifications tab and enable the relevant email notifications. As you want to set default status to be Pending, this means that when an appointment will be booked if will be created a pending status, so the email notifications for pending status will be sent => so you’ll to enable the notifications for the pending status (the 2 first notifications).

After an appointment was booked it will have the pending status, in case you’ll want to approve it, you have two options: to open the appointment and click on the customer’s name, and on the pop-up you’ll be able to change the status of the appointment, or add a code in email notifications that will generate a unique to approve the appointment. So if you want to send email notifications after you approve the appointment => you’ll need to enable the email notifications for the approved status.

When an appointment will be booked on the front-end, email notifications will be automatically sent, though if you’ll create an appointment in the back-end, you’ll need to choose one of these values for the send notification field: if status changed or to all customers, otherwise notifications won’t be sent.

Also, you’ll need to enable this option for the staff member notifications: Send copy to administrators (when you open a notification you’ll see this option).

I am potentially going to use bookly for room bookings on an hourly basis. Is there a way to make sure that bookings cannot be made on Christmas day and Easter Monday and certain bank holidays during the year? Essentially making sure certain days are not bookable in the year?

Yes, you can set these days as holidays. So, they will be blocked for the booking.

Currently this payment gateway is not supported. Though you could use the WooCommerce integration, and use the payment gateways that WooCommerce offers. If you enable this option, then customers will be redirected to a WooCommerce cart after the details step of the booking form, and payments from Bookly will be disabled.

Thank you for your reply Alex. Integrating with Woocommerce makes things quite complicated for the client to checkout and also means linking each service to a product in Woocommerce. Is there any way that you could allow for “Other” Gateways ? It is very difficult for us in South Africa. We have PayFast and PayU SA – PayU SA works differently from PayU Latum. I have checked with them. Please provide an alternate way for me as I have already purchased the plugin and love the way it works.
