I am potentially going to use bookly for room bookings on an hourly basis. Is there a way to make sure that bookings cannot be made on Christmas day and Easter Monday and certain bank holidays during the year? Essentially making sure certain days are not bookable in the year?

Currently this payment gateway is not supported. Though you could use the WooCommerce integration, and use the payment gateways that WooCommerce offers. If you enable this option, then customers will be redirected to a WooCommerce cart after the details step of the booking form, and payments from Bookly will be disabled.

Thank you for your reply Alex. Integrating with Woocommerce makes things quite complicated for the client to checkout and also means linking each service to a product in Woocommerce. Is there any way that you could allow for “Other” Gateways ? It is very difficult for us in South Africa. We have PayFast and PayU SA – PayU SA works differently from PayU Latum. I have checked with them. Please provide an alternate way for me as I have already purchased the plugin and love the way it works.

Pre-purchase question.
Hi, we want our customers to search our woocommerce store for our various products, make the purchase and then be directed to your booking form to make an appointment to install what they purchased.
I assume we can set the form on the thankyou page so it prompts them to complete in one step following the purchase confirmation, but what we would like is that the order of their purchase is associated with the form they are about to complete on your bookly form so the order is connected to their woocommerce purchase.
In an ideal world the above procedure steps would be great, is this possible?
Failing this, on the woocommerce purchase confirmation email, there could be a link to the booking form where on the form there could be a field for them to enter their order number. This could also work for us.
Please advise what the capabilities of WooCommerce orders and your booking form integration are.

Currently, this functionality is not supported. The purpose of this integration is to have access to other payment gateways that are not available in Bookly (but are supported by WooCommerce). So, if you enable this integration, customers will be redirected to a WooCommerce cart after the details step and payments from Bookly will be disabled.

Issue with Cart and Calendar display with multiple services.
When my Cart is enabled and I wan’t to add additional reservations/appointments for another service ie (Apartment 1 and Apartment 2) the calendar for Apartment 2 has the taken / reserved times from Apartment 1 and you can’t choose the same time for Apartment 2.
Any help?

We have only one staff member working on weekends doing all the reservation for multiple Apartments (1 to 4).
And he is assigned to all 4 apartments (services) but we would still like that he would be available for all 4 at the same time (ie at 9:00) Not only for one service (apartment).
I know we can have multiple reservation (persons) per apartment (it’s working fine) but not multiple reservations for the same staff member on different services at the same time.
Example:
Apartment | Service provider Apartment 1 John Doe Apartment 2 John Doe Apartment 3 John Doe Apartment 4 John Doe
Peter needs to reserve all 4 apartments at 9:00 pm from John Doe.

As far as I understood you rent apartments. If that’s the case because you have 4 apartments you need to create 4 staff members that will represent these apartments and add several services with a different duration and pricing.

OK, but can all 4 staff members have the same Google Calendar API ? And they all need an WP account don’t they?

I have one more small question!
Are reservations / appointments cleared or deleted after a period of time when the appointment is over?
Like X days after the appointment? It would be wasteful to store all past appointments.

As for the 2-way calendar sync for Google is there a way to specify a service from the Google calendar?
Because now all services get reserved (become unavailable) for the selected time period in Google calendar. Do I need to have a calendar for every service ? And how do you specify that in Setting? (Calendar name on Google?)
And if someone accidentally deletes an Google calendar entry what would happen on Bookly side? Does it get deleted, re-entered or nothing happens at all?

Bookly provides 2-way sync with Google Calendar. However, if you create or change an event in Google Calendar the related appointment is not created/updated in Bookly (the other way it does work). However, each event from Google Calendar is taken into account when displaying available time slots to the user in the second step of the booking process. So if you have an event in Google Calendar then the corresponding time slot will be not available for booking in Bookly.
Currently, this functionality is not supported, the event that you add in google will block the time slot for the staff member on Bookly’s front-end. In case the event is removed from the google calendar then the time slots will be again available for booking.

How do I get a service to start at 7:00 on 1h30min intervals ? It always starts from 0:00 and goes by 1h30min so that 6:00 and 7:30 can be chosen!

Where is the CSS for the appointments list table? Because currently it looks awful on a dark page (gray/silver table).

You can change the CSS for the appointments list table in this file: /wp-content/plugins/appointment-booking/frontend/modules/customer_profile/resources/css/customer_profile.css. Though I advise saving your changes in the appearance tab -> edit custom CSS, otherwise you’ll lose these changes after you update the plugin.

The WP theme that you using can also make changes to this list, so you may also need to make change elsewhere. We have the form set up and all seems to be working correctly, however, on the Details tab there is an initial value being assigned to the input field for Name and Email that seems to be getting pulled from the WP admin settings somewhere. Is there a way edit this to not have an initial value or at least change that initial value? I’ve gone through the settings up and down and wasn’t able to see any setting that would address this. Hi! I’m experiencing some notifications time difference issues. They have only just started to happen.
The customer booking is at 11am, the email confirming the booking is at 11am but allocated booking slot is set at 10am.
Any idea why this has suddenly started to happen?

I am a real estate agent and want to know if this plugin can arrange an appointment between my buyer client and sellers without me needing to be in the middle. My buyer would need to be able to propose a few blocks of time and then the seller would need to be able to accept one or reject and have responses back and forth go through text and email.

At the moment such a negotiating process is not available. The customer and seller could simulate it, though the seller has the option to set the schedule when he is available for booking and the customer can book the desired slot from the available ones.

Hi there. I would like to implement this into a website quickly but want to know what module i would need if i want to specify time brackets for appointments. For example 10am – 2pm and then 3pm – 4pm ( could be different lengths or days ) So service 1 may have 5 options that day, service 2 might have 3 options at specific times rather than one after the other. thanks

How can I setup the cronjob option for automated remembering appointment? i did it with github but its not working?
Hi,
If you want to send reminder notifications you will need to set up a cron job. This cron job will “check” different conditions, for example, if there are any appointments for tomorrow, and in case there are appointments, these reminders will be sent. Usually, you can set a cron job in the panel of your hosting provider. If you have troubles setting it up please contact your hosting provider, they should be able to assist you with this matter.

Hello,
just bought your product and I’m having an issue with the “number of people” option.
I have setup the “capacity” for each service at 6. And the “capacity” for each staff member at 1.
In other words, 1 Staff member per service/client x 6 services/clients.
On the front end, the only option I’m getting for “Number of people” is 1. I was expecting it to be 6.
Am I missing something here?

Hi,
You set capacity for the service to 6, it means that the same time slot for this service could be booked by 6 persons. And for the staff member capacity is set to 1, means that 1 person can book the time slot with this staff member.
If you want to let your staff member provide service to 6 persons at once, you’ll need to set the capacity to 6 for the staff member.

Please take into account the actual value of the capacity field which taken into account is the one that’s set in the staff members menu, because staff members could have different capacity options for the same service.
In case you have 6 staff members and can only provide 1 service to 1 client at any given moment – then it means that the capacity option is set correctly, for one customer. If you would set the capacity field for 6 persons, then for the same time slot – 36 customers would have the potential to book the same service.

I have 6 staff members and I’m saying that EACH one of them can only provide 1 service to 1 client at any given moment.
Meaning that I can serve at the most 6 clients at any given moment (assuming all staff is available).
So, why is the staff capacity option overriding the services/business global capacity? That makes no sense to me.

The capacity option from the services menu works like a “template” rather than a global setting, similar to business hours. So a service will have a default capacity value that you set it up services menu, but you can adjust it individually for each staff member that provides this service.

Let me try to rephrase this. What would be the settings if what I’m trying to accomplish is:
- 4 services: same service with different durations;
- 6 members of staff: 1 member per service;
I want to book, let’s say, 4 services – same duration and at the same time – for 4 different people. This booking will require 4 members of the staff.
That’s it.
I tried Bookly Lite and I acquired the full version perfectly convinced that this would be possible.

Yes, this is possible. You can book these appointments the way you set up the plugin, but you will need to book 4 appointments, you can’t book them by choosing the number of persons.

I am integrating your plugin with the Paypal.. But facing issues on the payment section.. I have got error “The transaction id is not valid”.. Even I have tested it with Sandbox account.

People often contact us complaining of the issue you describe and in all cases, it appeared that they entered the wrong Paypal API credentials in the settings section. For example, one can switch the `Sandbox mode` on and use the production credentials and vice versa, so make sure you use the proper credentials and don’t have trailing white spaces when entering them. If that’s not the case, please provide your purchase code.

Please could you confirm the following before i purchase. I will be wanting to use this plugin to manage tee off bookings for a golf club.
How it should work is the following:
1. Registered member selects the date he would like to book his tee off time for himself and/or his 3 friends.
2. He is emailed a confirmation of his booking, and the SMS function will remind him “x” amount of hours prior to his tee off booking.
3. Other members will be able to see other members bookings on the calendar and who they are booked with if the user booking himself and 3 other people.

1) A customer can choose the desired time slot to book an appointment. If you want to provide group bookings you can check the capacity option. In case a service has a bigger number of customers, then more customers will be able to book the same service for the same time slot.
2) Email and SMS notifications are supported.
3) Currently, this functionality is not available, in case a time slot will be booked then it will no longer be available for booking.
