Are you running the latest update (4.0.3) which resolves a memory issue present in the prior 4.0 versions? Also, are you running 4.0 at all? The request you are specifically referring to has been blocked on my server so it should timeout. If you upgrade to 4.0, it will never make this connection.

Hi – I bought this product a few years ago with a different envato account. I recently noticed that my plugin is not updating anymore and while trying to figure out how to get it updating again I realized I forgot the password for that account AND I don’t own the domain for the email address that I registered with (I can give you all the necessary details so you know this is not BS). The one domain where I’m running the plugin is gravityandmomentum.org.

I’m afraid anything like this is done through Envato’s support. Authors have very little information regarding users who have purchased their items. I would recommend asking them for help in this matter. It’s the only way you will be able to always have access to the latest files when they are available.

Okay, first of all I ship worldwide. The domestic shipping should be free (currently). I have different items in different sizes and the shipping charge should be different for every country and also for every size?
For example:
Item ‘A’ is small and has a size of 30×30x3cm the shipping to Italy should be 20USD, to Afrika 80USD and to Russia 40USD.
Item ‘B’ is large and has a size of 200×100x3cm the shipping to Italy should be 100USD, to Afrika 300USD and to Russia 180USD.
When someone buy item ‘A’ and ‘B’ together than I need a shipping charge which combine the shipping charges but with a reduction of 10%, so the shipping to Italy should be 108 USD, to Afrika 342USD and to Russia 198USD.
Moreover some extreme small items should have ALWAYS and into every country a free shipping.
My questions:
1) I have a shop in German and English, is everything translatable?
2) Where can I set the different shipping charges for each item? In the item or in a global list?
3) Can I use your plugin? Can I arrange all this, maybe with your help????
And at least I would like to test the dashboard settings in your demo but it doesn’t work, the system tells me: ERROR: The password you entered for the username demo is incorrect.

Sure, I would be happy to help answer your questions!
- Yes, everything is translation ready and should work with any language plugin (po file is also provided)
- All settings are done from the Shipping tab. Each zone you create will need its own Table Rate method added to it which give you separate sets of rules and costs for each geographic area you have created.
- You can definitely setup shipping costs on a per item (or preferred method of per shipping class) however the -10% would be tricky since this has its own conditions. I have debated adding the Handling Fees table back in with more rules/conditions but unfortunately I do not have anything for it yet so this plugin may not be useful to you until it does. This is primarily because the plugin would have to calculate Per Item or Per Class to suit your needs. When it does this, you won’t be able to setup conditions like ‘when the customer orders 5 products or more’ because it’s not looking at the order as a whole anymore. I do have some code examples on the support site where maybe you can create a filter to lower the price by 10% when necessary if you are familiar with PHP…

Okay, I have 3 shipping zones (I already add them). For every shipping zone I need 4 different shipping charges (a,b,c,d or something like that).
I could choose in every item the right shipping charge. Or I could also put in the weight and the size of every item into the item and the plugin could calculate it by itself.
Both would be possible. It is just so that the shipping charge depends on the size and I dispatch large items 
What would be the best way to manage this? I already try it by myself but ….hmm.. it doesn’t work… :(((((

I am happy to look at screenshots if you would like. Which way did you try, exact products or based on size? If you have a lot of products size may be simpler to setup so that you are not selecting dozens of products in each row.
If you have four different options for the customer to select from you will need to setup 4 options in the Table Rate method. Each option will have its own table where you can define the rules. Just make sure that every option covers all products in the cart or else it won’t be considered valid.

I left a response in your prior post that I hope explains this. The WooCommerce zones work differently than the old ones that came with this plugin before. In situations like this it can be frustrating to work around but definitely doable. You just might need to make a zone for just Canada and have both shipping methods in it. The customer cannot qualify for more than one zone.

In the old situation the shipping calculator gives me two shipping options and two prices based on weight.
In the new situation with the new shipping zones I must now make for almost every county its own zone and fil them with shipping prices based on weight for this two shipping companies.
This means that I must make some 150 zones and per zone I must fill them with 30 shipping prices on weight. Every year the prices and the zones will be changed by this companies.
If this is the case than this new shipping zones are a huge step backwards.
Surely there must be some overlap, especially in Europe, so that each of your countries there does not need to be in its own grouping. Unfortunately I do not know of a way to disable this part of the WooCommerce Shipping Zones. I’ve looked through the code and I don’t see where it’s possible unfortunately. I’m happy to open a ticket with them and at least suggest the idea. You are certainly not the first to be frustrated with this feature.

Off course I have read that you will leave your shipping zones and will make use of the WC shipping zones. I really think that this is not a good idea. Your shipping zones where perfect.
For now I must go further with my new online store. I will install an older Table Rate Shipping plugin with your shipping zones and update this to the latest version.
I have no choice in this.
Please let me know what you are going to do. Your plugin must make the different from the standard WC shipping methods.

Really, the old shipping zone are working perfectly.
While I know it is frustrating for some scenarios like this, but I’m afraid I have no intent to roll back the zones. It is discouraged by WooCommerce and immediately blamed when you contact their support for anything shipping related. I’m sure there is another solution that I can work on during my free time, but until then you can use an older version to get it working. There is nothing wrong with 3.6.6, at least not right now. It might produce a few notices thanks to advancements in WC 3.0, but everything still works. (Leaving WP_DEBUG turned off will ensure customers do not see these messages.)
Rather than use the 3.6.6 you had originally, I would recommend using the plugin files found in woocommerce-table-rate-shipping/deprecated. This contains the last round of fixes and adjustments and was released with 4.0. Simply upload the ‘deprecated’ folder to your WordPress ‘plugins’ folder, but do change it to something other than ‘deprecated’.

In your old plugin you also have the ability to add an extra Handling Fee per Zone. This is also a great thing to have because now in the new zones I must fill this in per weight rule.
Per zone / country = 30 weight rules and 30 extra Handling Fee’s.
Yes, I do plan to add that back in but on the side. Meaning it won’t be part of the core, but you can download it for free if you need it. Unfortunately it was too confusing for many users as were many other things so the plugin is now as lean as it can be with several add-ons to come. The new handling fees will allow for cart based conditions, so once the upgrades are done it will be released.

I’m afraid not. I’ve tried to look into extending their shipping zones but they have it locked tight with no filters or hooks to play with. I asked them why and received no response so they seem to have no interest in changing this unless somebody else does it for them.
There is no way to use the old zones in combination with the new settings, so unfortunately you’d have to run the old system or try to figure out a way to make the new system work if you continue to use this plugin. It’s possible they might explore it someday, but right now I think the big task on everyone’s mind is getting things GDPR compliant, so I wouldn’t expect much else in change over the next 3 – 4 months.

You may end up with more zones than you like. The WooCommerce zones only allow customers to qualify for one zone. Once qualified it will ignore all others. So unfortunately I think the only way would be to have many zones with repetitive shipping data. The Import/Export feature should at least help with copying the information more quickly.

My shop is selling two clothing collections from different brands.
The shipping cost for the collection A is 5€ and we offers free shipping for 80€ or more on this collection
The shipping cost for the collection B is 5€ too but we do not offers any free shipping on that one.
So, product from collection B only get free shipping benefits if they are included in a cart with 80€ or more product from collection A.
Can Can this plugin do this?

Yes, I believe this good! You can separate the two collections using shipping classes. This way in your table of rates you can calculate for each shipping class separately. There is also an option to charge for single class only, so if the customer purchases $40 of collection A and $40 of collection B, they would be charged $5 shipping. But if they order $100 of collection A and $40 of collection B, the order would ship for $0. Furthermore an order of just $40 from collection B would be $5.

Hi, I’m having issues with your plugin. I’m using it together with WPML and Aelia multicurrency plugins. I’m experiencing several issues: 1) the selected method is not always the one defined in the rules for a specific currency 2) sometimes with the default currency a message appears to inform the user that there is not a valid shipping method

I’m afraid not. Compatibility with that plugin is managed on their end. It would be best to contact them if the problem is only around the conversion. I’m happy to review your settings if there are issues in the default currency that may be setting related. It is best to open a support ticket for these types of issues however. I’m looking for a solution for the following: I want my customers always to pay the same shipping costs, for example, €3,- including tax. Because I have products in different tax categories (6% and 21%) and woocommerce requires shipping cost excl. tax this doesn’t seem possible. - Either I set up different shipping classes for different tax rates, (2,83 excl. tax for 6% tax rate and 2,48 excl. tax for 21% tax rate, both 3,- incl. tax) and it goes wrong when a customer orders 2 products from different tax rates (woocommerce only has the option to go automatically for the most expensive one, so I end up with the 2,83×1,21 = 3,42 shipping cost instead of 3,-) - Or I set up one shipping class and the shipping costs end up varies with the different tax rates. 2,63 incl. tax for 6% tax rate and 3,- for 21% tax rate or orders with both 6% and 21% rates.

I’m afraid I don’t believe any shipping method is setup for shipping prices inclusive of tax. It is difficult to do something like this when WooCommerce itself does not support it. I know that there are ways around the shipping tax, for example if you always want to charge 6% on shipping, this is possible. Taxes are not my specialty, but I’ve spoken with many shop owners who have done this. It has to do with the order in which you have the taxes listed in the settings table, as well as only checking the ‘shipping’ box for the 6% and not the 21%. There may also be a separate setting in regards to shipping and taxes, but I cannot remember. I would recommend searching their support forum on WordPress.org. I’m sure such a scenario has been asked several times before.

Always charging 6% won’t work I’m afraid because by law I’m obliged to charge 21% on shipping if the product falls in the 21% category. I’ve asked the question on the wordpress support forum, thanks for the suggestion.

Categories: Lures Reel
Lures – Less than 3 – Free shipping. Lures – Greater than 3 – “Additional Cost” of $3.95. Lures – Greater than 6 – Additional Cost” of $8.50.
Reels – Flat Rate Shipping – $10. Reels – Greater Than 2 – “Additional Cost” of $4.95 (I want to change the price freely). Reels – Greater Than 4 – “Additional Cost” of $7.95.

Lures x 2 – Free shipping Reels (or any categories other than Lures) x 1

I’m not sure what you mean by “Additional Cost”. You can certainly change the shipping cost based on how many items the customer purchases, but each needs to be the full flat cost. The table will only use one row for each category/class, so it cannot combine the costs from the last three rows for example.
When splitting up products into groups it is preferred to use shipping classes rather than categories as described in your example. This is definitely doable. However if you are looking to display multiple lines in the cart as per the example, you will need to use their code tutorial. Thks is a separate feature within WooCommerce and not built in to this plugin.

A mixed order of A,B would provide a single price calculated from the above.

Sure, I believe the problem here is that you have the two classes separated into different shipping options. Each shipping option can produce it’s own option for the customer to choose from. If you only have one option to give to customers, there should only be one option/table. The one table will have two rows, one for each of your classes. Once they are together, it should start showing up again.

I can ship 5 items in one pack. The min. cost for shipping is $40 per pack, then $10 per additional item, hence 1 item would be $40, 5 items would be $80. Starting from the 6th item, a new pack is then needed, a new pack cost of $40 would be counted again for the 6th item, so for the 6th item, the shipping cost would be $120 ($80 for the first 5 items + $40 for the 6th item), the 7th item would be $130 and so on. So it’s like a loop cost count for every 5 items.

I’m afraid this plugin does not have a recursive format yet. I would try to help find a different way, but I’m afraid I really do not understand how you received the following prices based on your description: “The min. cost for shipping is $40 per pack, then $10 per additional item”
1 – $40
5 – $80
6 – $120
7 – $130
You can charge a fee for every 5 items, but I’m not sure how you could do the extra $10 fee on the 7th.

If you have purchased this plugin it will come with documentation in the full download. Beyond that there is the support site, however this is still in the process of having all content converted to the new settings page.
Since WooCommerce 2.6 there seems to be a conflict with the native shipping zones and settings. in the checkout it shows both the table-rate shipping options and the shipping options from the native woocommerce settings. here you can see the problem in a picture: http://roeser-media.de/img/tablerate.png

This plugin has always worked alongside the WooCommerce zones, at least until the latest version 4.0 update where now the settings use the WooCommerce zones. If you have two options displaying then you must have two options setup. The only way to remove the second option that you don’t need is to disable the method showing it. There are no default shipping options in WooCommerce.

Definitely! Every row in the table can have multiple conditions, so it would be possible for set two conditions for one shipping option.

Shipping Zone: EUR 1 Shipping Zone: EUR 2 Shipping Zone: Rest of the World
In the shipping zone Rest of the World I need to exclude some countries.
How I can do this?
Assuming you are using the WooCommerce zones with the new 4.0 settings, to exclude certain countries from the ‘Rest of the World’ zone, simply create a new zone in between the EUR 2 and Rest of the World zones. Add the excluded countries here but with no shipping methods and they will not receive shipping.
If you want to exclude them from shopping altogether, this can be done under the ‘General’ tab of your WooCommerce settings page.

I’m afraid I do not think there is. The only way to do something like that right now is with shipping classes, but you would still have to charge based on ‘Per Class’, which I’m not sure is what you want. What exactly is the rule you are trying to create?

I’m afraid I do not know. That is not something that is handled by a shipping plugin. It may be possible, almost anything is with a little bit of code, but you will likely have to search the internet or try opening a support ticket in the WooCommerce forum on WordPress.org.
Thanks for the reply. I managed to get it working. You have to work with WC shippping zones and create a zone and add two shipping methods: free shipping and table rate. Can’t use the free shipping included in this plugin, because it always allows users to use coupons and free shipping at once.
