Hi, i just bought your extension. Everything work fine. Now I need to use this function to call the WAS rate I cerated. This code below call Flat Rate. How to call WAS rates ?
/** * This is part of my function which loops over cart items, and moves any item with shipping class ‘special-class’ into a new package. * The new package in this example only takes flat rate shipping. */
$new_package['ship_via'] = array( 'flat_rate' ); // Only allow flat rate for items in special class
I WANT WAS RATE HERE INSTEAD OF FLAT RATE. How can I call them ?
thank you very much
Wonderful I just fund It looking through the plugin files :
Answer is “advanced_shipping”.
Here is the entire code I used to create a 2nd Expedition Box (in cart page). It’s only related to some products who have special delivery conditions and so custom shipping class :

Hello,
I have a presale question. I have 2 shipping options:
1. one is paid shipping and is the same price for every product in the store 2. there is free shipping for over a sum
My problem is that when the clients selects products that allows him free shipping, he still has to choose and select the free shipping from the two options available to him on the checkout page.
I would like to know if there is a way only show the free shipping directly selected and no other option when they get past a certain amount. (that is because many of them still select the paid option)
Thank you !
If you know another way to achieve this kindly let me know.
Hi,
There’s a option available in the plugin ‘hide other rates when free is available’ which will do what it says – hide the other rates – and WC will automatically select the free shipping option that is available.
From the sounds of it that would suffice your needs, correct?
Other alternative is that you setup the shipping rates with conditions in the plugin so that the paid shipping option only shows up below the subtotal threshold, and the free only above.
Hope that answers your question

Hi, pre sales question
Is it possible that if a product is shipping to a specific country the tax would be removed from the cart if they meet certain criteria (for example filling in a field for their tax number)? Thanks
Hi,
This plugin would only be able to handle shipping taxes at most, not the general order taxes.
Setting up the shipping rates / taxes according to a custom field would be possible, but would require some additional work too.

Hi,
Pre-sales question.
We sell some custom made items that will have longer delivery times than ready-made items. We are looking to set up different shipping methods based on categories.
So when someone buys a custom item the shipping option will be 7 days, if they get a ready-made it will show a 3 day option.
Additionally, when someone buys both – it will only show the longer time.
Is this possible with your plugin?
Thanks Aaron
Hi Aaron,
Yes, using the conditions it is possible to setup the shipping rates exactly in such fashion.
Hope that answers your Q

Hi, some pre-sale questions.
I want to “build” shipping conditional logic for one of my clients meaning that there will be extra costs depending on the total weight of the cart.So I wanted to know if I can achieve these 2 scenarios with your plugin:
1.The client will have the option to choose between 2 different shipping methods with different base costs and additional fees per kgr.
2.Same scenario as above but there will be an additional fee in case the client chooses payment gateway cash on delivery.
Thanks in advance
Hi,
1) Yes this is possible to setup
2) This is also possible, though it does require a additional ‘Payment gateway’ custom condition script that I have available.
Feel free to send me a message if you’d like to receive the script

Quick question: We’ve got several rules that specify that users of specific roles get free shipping after their cart value goes over a specific amount.
We’d LOVE to have a way of letting them know how far they are from getting free shipping. Could be in the cart, checkout or in a widget. Is that something you have or can do?
Hi Jon,
As you may’ve noticed this plugin doesn’t have such feature (it is just a bit out of scope for this plugin). I do have another extension though that would allow you to setup conditions in a similar way, and then setup a message throughout your shop where you’d like it.
You take a look at that plugin here: https://shopplugins.com/plugins/woocommerce-advanced-messages/
Hope that helps

Got it. It worked. I’m grateful. Thank you.
Hi, Could you send me the link for the free extension to use shipping cost per item. Thank you,
Hi,
I’ve replied a little earlier to your other message; in short, if you can reach out through me through the support tab here on CC or through my site I’ll send it over

http://jeroensormani.com/woocommerce-advanced-shipping/support/Hi! I’m trying to find a solution for my needs and this plugin is the closest one to that. I’m looking for a plugin that allows me to set a flat shipping rate between 2 cities. It’s going to be a marketplace, so origin city could vary. Is it possible to do this with this plugin? Thank you!
Hi,
The plugin doesn’t allow you to setup rates based on the origin location, though there might be a work-around where you could use shipping classes to represent the origin location, and then setup the shipping based on shipping class and shipping city.
Hope that helps
Cheers, Jeroen
PS. depending on your exact needs, you might be able to modify the shipping package to contain the origin location + then create a custom condition based on that, but that does require additional customization through code snippets.
Hi Jeroen, we’d like to offer: - a special flat rate shipping option if the basket contents contain only one specific sku/product category, any qty. - our other flat rate shipping options if the basket contents contain that specific sku + any other sku OR any other sku - Offer Free shipping if any basket sub-total => $50 of specific skus/product categories.
Can do with Advanced Shipping plugin? -aj
Hi Aj,
It is possible to setup certain shipping rates if there’s only one category in the cart. There’s no condition available for SKU, if needed it is possible to create a custom condition.
Using the WAS Advanced Pricing extension you can setup shipping cost according to group (shipping class / category) subtotal, this is not available in any of the conditions though.
Hope that makes sense
Cheers, Jeroen
Hi Jeroen
Since updating to 3.0 shipping is no longer charged by the plugin at all – is there something which I need to update at my end to get Advanced Shipping working again?
Please ignore this – the latest WC update 3.04 fixed the issue.
Glad to hear that
Hi,
Is it possible to do the following scenario:
Local Pickup Delivery by company – Suboption 1: 10 $ – Suboption 2: 20 $ – Suboption 3: 30 $
Looking forward to hear from you!
Hi,
It is possible to create multiple shipping rates / options, but it won’t exactly be a ‘suboption’, though with the multiple shipping rates the user will still be able to choose from different rates.
Hope that answers your Q
Regards, Jeroen
Hi Jeroen I have send you an email, but in case you didn’t get it. This code doesn’t seems to work anymore since the last woo-commerce upgrade. Any update for this?

Hi Edwin,
I’ve replied over mail, please continue there.

Pre-sales question: For our store we need very simple configuration, please let me know if the plugin does this:
rates are not effected by weight, zone, category, nothing. Just subtotal.
1. up to 200$ there are 2 options to chose from: regular and priority 2. from 200$ to 300$ there are 2 options to chose from: regular and priority, BUT different cost than the previous condition 3. from 200$ to 300$: again, 2 options, BUT different cost (regular for free, priority low cost) 4. above 300$ – free shipping
I would like buyers to see only the shipping options relevant to their sub total
Is it possible?
Hi,
Yes it is possible to setup (multiple) different shipping rates with its own cost accordingly based on the subtotal in the cart.
Your scenario can be setup using the plugin
Cheers, Jeroen
Hi, can this plugin full fill the following situation ? The shipping is become FREE if a particular product is selected and added to cart, else the fees using table rate.
Hi,
Yes, its possible to setup free shipping when a certain product is in the cart
For this you can use the ‘contains product’ condition.
Cheers, Jeroen
hi, just tried to upload / install. i’m getting this message… Installing the plugin…
The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.
Plugin install failed.
ok. unpacked it….
Yes, the downloaded package from CC needs to be unpacked first before it can be installed as a plugin
Hi a pre-purchase comment. I want to double check that it will fulfill the requirements first.
We have a minimum spend of £650.00 if they reach that its free delivery. if they don’t its £35.00 for the first item and £10.00 for each other. can that be added to the cart side of things please and that would revert to free delivery after 650.00 is reached?
Thanks for your help
Hi,
Yes it is possible to setup these kind of shipping rates. The shipping rates adjust according to the conditions that have been setup and the contents of the cart / the user data.
Whether it shows up in the cart is for example depending on the conditions, if you set a ‘country’ condition – without a default country in WC – and the user hasn’t set their country yet, it won’t show up. But if you use a default country or the user did set theirs, it will.
Hope that answers your Q
Cheers,
Jeroen
Thank you for your help, i think i have gotten it to work.
This is a pre-sale question. We want to show on the product pages the shipping options that are available to the client based on their zip code (and if possible, also the product they purchase). So they can calculate their shipping and see their options right on the product page.
It will be integrated into a certain design if possible.
Then, through the checkout process, when they get to the shipping options, they’ll get a second chance to change their shipping options.
So here are my questions. It’s it’s ok if some of them are negative answers. It seems that I may have to start with something and then customize a plugin later on.
1. Is it possible to have the shipping feature appear at any where on the page. Maybe through the use of a shortcode?
2. After they put their zip code, can you have the shipping cost and options appear through an expanded section?
3. If someone select the shipping option on the product page, can we have that same option saved and preselected when they arrive to the shipping option page during checkout?
4. Is the look, such as colors, customizable through settings? Or will it take customization of codes?
Thanks
Hi,
1) This is not part of the plugin, you’d need to create some customization for this.
2) This would part of the customization above
3) Also the same as above, this is kinda how WC does work by default
4) Would also be part of the customization.
This plugin its sole purpose is to allow you to setup your own shipping rates, it doesn’t do much outside of that (and thats a good thing too, I love the ‘do one thing and do it well’ principle).
Hope that answers your Qs
Cheers, Jeroen
Hi I want to verify before I purchase:
We have two shipping classes: Flat rate and boats. All Flat rate should be $6 per order no matter how many you order. Boats should be based off UPS or USPS pricing (we are deciding).
We have UPS extension installed and Flat Rate set up but this is not working. Will your plugin fix this issue?
So if a person orders 3 of flat rate and 1 boat it will be $6 + the UPS price for the boat….
Do we need the advanced shipping packages extension you wrote as well or only this?
Thanks! Jennifer
Hi Jennifer,
In this case I’d advise to split the cart into two packages and use the Advanced Shipping Packages for the scenario.
Then you can use this plugin or possibly WC core flat rates (also supports cost per shipping class) to setup the shipping cost accordingly.
Hope that answers your Q
Cheers, Jeroen
Hi!
This is a pre-sales question. I will need to add a different shipping price to my city that is Bogota – Colombia, the rest of the country will keep the same shipping price but this city don’t, it will be possible with this plugin? this include the option to add Colombia’s cities?
And the second question is if this plugin is compatible with the latest WooCommerce version, the 3.0.1
Thank you for your time!
Hi,
Yes it is possible to setup different shipping cost per city and for the rest of the country.
WooCommerce itself doesn’t list cities in any way, these are all manual user input (though there are plugins that allow you to change that), this plugin doesn’t ‘include the option to add cities’ because of that.
Yes it is compatible with the latest WC versions.
Cheers, Jeroen
Hello!
I was wondering if your plugin will be able to support the functionality I am in need of. Here are the details:
- We need shipping calculations to be calculated through the UPS addon - No more than two units fit in each shipping box - The height of our product is 5 in. but the units fit within each other, making the shipping height 6 in. for two units.
Can your plugin set conditions that 1 unit would be 5 inches tall and 2 units would be 6 inches tall, while still allowing shipping calculations to come from UPS?
I hope this makes sense! Let me know if you need more info.
Hi,
This plugin doesn’t allow you to modify how the UPS rates are calculated, so it wouldn’t work in your scenario.
Cheers, Jeroen
Hello Jeroen,
I just wanted to make a few clarifications in case your plugin does do what we need: - We don’t need the plugin to modify how the UPS rates are calculated. - We need to be able to change the height based on the quantity of units someone adds to the cart.
Something like this: - If the quantity of a specific product is 1, then the product height is 5 inches - If the quantity of a specific product is 2, then the product height is 6 inches
Cheers, and thanks for the quick reply!
Hi,
I understand your needs, this plugin won’t be able to do that. This is to setup your own shipping rates, while you either want to modify the product dimensions and/or modify how the other plugin is calculating the dimensions/cost.
Good luck! Jeroen
