Hello, I wrote a few days ago but I can’t check if you’ve received my message. You plugin works great but unfortnately with AVADA theme it doesn’t show unless user is logged in and has dashboard access? I’ve read that someone has had the same issue and you sent him a new file that fixed the problem. Hope you’ll be able to help me too.

Any chance that you allow users registered as “staff member” to manage their schedule etc. (all their bookly options) from frontend ? As many i want to use the plugin with a premium theme that, very often has its own login function and prevent access to backend for users which is exactly what every theme should do….but with a plugin like bookly allowing users to manage only from backend, it can’t be used with a premium theme :/ You know what i mean ?

For now, staff members can only access admin panel with their accounts and view only calendar and their personal info.

Hi I have e problem with the email notifications. In the notification to customer, I’m not able change the text, that is, even in the HTML part I cannot see what is written (it’s empty), not I cannot write something else. And doing a test, I notice an error in the email clients receive which I need to correct. I tried also with RESET, but nothing. The error is stil there.

When I put the appointments in (as a client) on the website form, I put in the name and this person is not a registered user on our website. When I go into the admin of the database, the calendar and appointment pages are not getting the name right. I have put four appointments on a single day and they all come up with the same name. Do you have to put the clients in as users before setting appointments? It seems that this shouldn’t be necessary since the form allows clients to set their own appointments.

Hi there,
I have a pre-sale question. I am wanting to buy this plugin, except I ran into one issue with the trial version and I want to make sure I can fix it before buying.
My issue is that the categories I’ve created aren’t showing up in the form once I add it to a page. It just has the “Select Category” in the drop down, but nothing else. And like I said I’ve created multiple categories in the settings.
I’m assuming I’m missing something simple, but I just can’t figure it out.

By trial version I mean the Lite version downloaded from the Wordpress plugin site.
Figured it out! I realized that you need to create at least 1 staff member, and then link the services to that staff member. Then the services show up in the form. Thanks anyways!

Hello. Thank you for your response to my message about trying to set up Bookly as the booking tool for my meeting space.
I’m experienced at installing and activating plugins and have built my Wordpress site myself. However, I simply cannot figure out how to make your plugin work for what I need.
Is there any way you can provide a walkthrough of associating categories with services? I’ve spent hours trying to understand how to do this.

The mains steps are:- Create a Staff Member(s);
- Create Categories and Services (as already mentioned in previous post);
- Assign Services to Staff Members;
- Set appropriate Time Slot length according to which service duration you will set, staff member schedule and time slot increment on the front end;
- Set Staff Members schedule;
- Insert booking form shortcode to the page.

I created a page where it list the staff members’ information and at the end will be the book button, can this book button link directly to the booking page of the selected staff member?

It is possible to insert multiple booking forms with different default values set to Category/Service/Employee drop-down(s).

Yes. It is possible when ‘Create WordPress user account for customers’ is enabled in Settings -> Customers.
In this case, Bookly will create account for customer on booking completion. When logged in, all details will be already filled in on next booking.

Bookly requires PHP 5.3 or higher. The error message shows that you are running outdated version of PHP. Usually it is possible to switch the PHP version in the control panel of your hosting provider.

Thanks so much! That was an easy fix. One more question: Is there a way to edit the first screen in the reservation process? For example: I’d like to change the heading of “I’m available on or after:” as I’m not even sure what it means. Is that supposed to mean the customer is available on that date? I don’t quite see the point of that when on the next page they’re reserving their day and time. If I’m missing something, please help me understand. However, I’d still like to know how to edit those headings. Thanks.

In “I’m available on or after:” block customers can specify starting from which time available time slots should be displayed.
If needed, this block can be hidden in Add Booking Form shortcode dialog window.

Hello, how can I enable the plugin to be available for EDITOR as well, not only admin? My client cant have admin access of the backend. And with a editor login the bookly menu wont appear. thanks!

Hello! I just purchased the Bookly plugin and, after trying to set it up, definitely could use support.
I run a meeting space in Chicago and need to offer my customers the following:
- The ability to select the meeting Type (example: Workshop, Client Meeting, Networking Session). Question: Is this Category or Service?
- The ability to select the Area of the meeting space that they need to book (example: Storefront, Office, Conference Room) Question: Is this Category or Service?
- The ability to select multiple hours including half-hour time slots, with a minimum of 1 hour required Question: How do I do this without having to input separate entries for every half hour and hour available between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.?
There’s no need for Staff to be selected as part of the booking system. Question: Is there a workaround for this or do I have to provide at least one Staff member even if I don’t need this field?

- I think that it will work better if meeting types will be created as Services and Areas as Categories.
- Currently it is possible to select a single time slot at a time. Service duration should be preset in administration panel.
- At least one staff members is required for Bookly to work properly. You will have to assign services to staff members since on staff members schedues depends time slot availablity. However, it is possible to set default value and hide Employee field from the form.
