Hello there, it is kind of pre-purchase question. I’ve tried your plugin bundled with X-theme and want to buy another copy to use with different theme — Salient. The problem is: I’ve tried masonry-full width grid with woocommerce products list (edited archive-product.php as your documentation said). Products display just fine except that they always go full-width, not matter what else is on the screen. I mean, theme has left menu, and woocommerce has sidebar with filters. But your Grid is ABOVE all of them and looks like it calculates display size, so It is always maximum. Is it fixable — i want it still be full-width and masonry but just in right place, inside a container, next to menu and sidebar)? Or Grid always uses max width no matter what? Does it depend on theme? (Salient uses its own variant of Visual Composer if it matters)
Ah, and another question. On your preview page you have much more styles and grids than in Demo content, why? For example there is no Dacca skin with parallax. I will get it after buying?

Well, I didn’t ask you to help with the code. I just asked if your plugin supports sidebar and left menu in the full-width masonry mode and why your demo-site has way more examples than in demo-import. Nevermind, I will buy it anyway.

The Grid supports full-width with all layout types (Masonry, Grid, Justified). It will work in text widget if the theme allows shortcode in widget. The Grid also comes with all grid demos presented on our live demo and with more than 30 custom skins compatible with the skin builder.

Grid and Justified styles can’t have a bottom content holder because item height is fixed with these layout. However, you can add content hover the image at the top/center/bottom or everywhere with an absolute positioned element.

With The Grid, you will be able to recreate exactly the same layout and appearance. You can also assign, for each post in a grid, a custom overlay background color like in your example. However, it’s not possible to add the functionality you mentioned on click.

since wp 4.7.3 automatic update, I can not add new filter categories to an existing grid. I can see the category and the category contains items, like (2) but if I add this new category to the filter list, it does not appear in the frontend grid.

No. I have no support for this item anymore and I am not going to buy new support because of this malfunction but you should be interested to fix this. I was working before but when the automatic update from wp came in, it did not work anymore.

There isn’t any issue regarding filter functionality of The Grid. And an update can’t break this functionality. You certainly have a cache issue and you need to clear it (server, plugin and browser). Or you have a setting issue or plugin conflict.
Moreover, if a filter button doesn’t match items present in a grid it will be hidden and deactivated. The filter buttons will only act on items present in grid.
In all cases, as mentioned on Envato market support terms, for any issue/bug/question, you must have a valid support to have support from the plugin author. Thank you for your understanding.

OK, gracias. I do not support this new envato policy. when I bought this product, the policy did not exists. I think this policy is not fair against the buyers. It is honest enough if people buy new licenses for every project they use it for, instead of using the same license over and over again (which many people do) but in addition to that, paying for extra service…. not with me, sorry. This is my opinion.

you knows what. I am a web designer and I offer service for my clients forever and they do not have to buy service packages from me all the time. I am much longer a customer here than from 2015. envato did not have such policy before and that was good for almost all authors. this is just another money machine.
I am currently using The Grid with X Theme, everything looks good so far however I am unable to have search results on portfolio items inside a grid. I have set a category, tags and title on every item but I have no results for any word I type in the search bar of the grid. I see the items in the grid but whenever something is in the search bar I never have a result shown.
Am I missing something?

The search bar of The Grid will only search in string/text present in grid items. it means that if there isn’t any content in your skin, then you will not be able to search for this skin.

The Grid is a grid plugin which allows to build advanced grid system. From your screenshot, it seems that you want to display a single post with ajax in a popup. Unfortunately, there isn’t a such functionality with The Grid. It requires to use and integrate a 3rd party plugin for that particular purpose.

I’m using The Grid in conjunction with a purchased theme(Themo) and I’m trying to use 7 total filters but I’m only seeing 5 in my previews. The last 2 filters don’t have the class, ‘ag-show-filter’ for some and can only add them manually in dev mode but not using the custom js section. Is there a finite number of filters due to not being registered?

Filter buttons like search field will only act on items present in a grid. This is a dynamic filtering system. If you load more posts then newly appended items will be taken into account by the filter buttons. Otherwise, if it doesn’t match items in a grid, filter button will be inactive.

Thank you. Sorry my explanation might not be clear enough. I’ve got 12 total images in use with 7 total “active filters” and only 1 filter in use (filter-1). The images in the active filters break down like so:
ActiveFilter1(6 images) ActiveFilter2(1 image) ActiveFilter3(1 image) ActiveFilter4(1 image) ActiveFilter5(1 image) ActiveFilter6(1 image) ActiveFilter7(1 image)
In this case, all 7 filters should appear but only Active Filters 1-5 show up. I did seem to pinpoint the/an issue. It appears as though only 10 of the 12 images will show up. For example, when I removed 2 of the images from ActiveFilter1, all 7 filters showed up on the page. When I re-add those images so that they are at the back end of the Media Library Images section in the Source tab, All 7 filters show up but only 4 of the 6 images appear from ActiveFilter1.
Based on that new information, can you tell me if I need to purchase the plugin license?

Disregard… I fixed it 1 minute later. In the Sources tab, I left the Item Numbers field blank. When I changed it to 12, Everything showed up.

I’ve purchased the grid an I really like it, especially the minimal and clean design. I want to create a masonary grid from the media library (like the grid-example in your demo), using Visual Composer. I read the documentaries and the comments, but I’ve still no idea how I can insert the “Gallery” into the post/page/portfolio with the selected images. I add Images in the “The Grid – Item Format” from the media library, but the page stays empty. Is there a simple step I forget?

Is it possible to filter by 2 or more values?
What I mean is that I want to show all the places we offer discount to our members in a grid on our site. Our members should be able to choose between 6 regions and then by different categories such as “restaurants”, “webshops”, “clothing” etc.
So we want filtering to work like this: “restaurants” and “clothing” in “region1” and “region2”.
Will this be possible with The Grid?

The Grid allows to have filtering combination from taxonomy terms. The filter buttons will only act on items present in grid and do not allow to retrieve items/posts on the fly when filtering.
For information, The Grid is a grid plugin to layout advanced grid systems in a elegant way. The Grid is not focused on the filtering system like a dedicated filtering plugin will do.

I want to be able to leave the “Title” always visible. Also to have text such as “excerpt” visible to start and then disappear on mouse over. None of the visibility or animation options seem to work other than to move & distort. How do I do these things? Anyone know? That’s why I bought this plugin. I want to be able to display different post information before and after mouse-over.

Is this plugin able to automatically display content for a grid of taxonomies, turning, say, a list of product categories or subcategories from Woocommerce into a grid that uses the category image and description?

The Grid only works with post type. So, you will be able to display only your products in a grid from Woocommerce. Unfortunately, this is not possible to make a grid of taxonomy terms. You can only display posts in a grid or social stream like Instagram or Facebook.

I can’t guarantee that The Grid will work with your flipbook plugin. If a grid is hidden from view (which is certainly the case with a flipbook plugin) then it will not work because calculations made to layout a grid can only be made on visible elements in a document.

Yes, it’s possible to order by metadata value. The Grid uses the native Wordpress query, so all possibilities offered by Wordpress are possible with The Grid.

Hello, I’m preparing to use The Grid on another site but before I purchase another license, I would like to know if it is possible to have two concurrent filters active?
If you visit http://communikate.net.au/our-work/ you will see that the grid of posts can be filtered by “Case studies by service” and “Case studies by sector” at the same time. For example, filter by “Marketing” in the first column and “Business” in the second to see posts that relate to Marketing in the Business sector.
Is this possible using The Grid? In my testing I have a tags filter and a categories filter but clicking any of the filtering options in one filter set cancels out a selection in the other.

To clarify, I’m aware of Filter Combination. But when I turn it on, multiple selections from each list can be active. With it turned off, I only get one selection in total.
I just want one selection from each filter list, if possible.
