I want mobile device to display THE GRID in 16:9 but desktop device to display THE GRID in 32:9. Let me know if this is possible now or please implement this feature in coming updates.

It’s possible with a custom code to change the aspect ratio of items in a grid depending of the type of device (not of the browser width).

I’m redesigning my site and I have disabled the old token and created a new one but when I try to activate the new token it tells me: Envato API error: Forbidden what’s wrong? it’s the same website by the way and no it’s not being used in the old one. and I;m doing it locally

This error means that your token is invalid or was not validated before to register The Grid. Please make sure to validate the token before to register The Grid.
You don’t need to regenerate a token each time. A token will work with all your purchases made from Envato.

The layouts from your screenshots are not grids.
However, The Grid comes with a developer API which allows to create any kind of skin layout. There isn’t any limitation when using The Grid API.
It’s also possible to create a one column grid layout to create classical blog layout.

The one column classic blog layout was my plan if a list style layout could not be achieved, but since it is, could/would you recommend how I might commission that customization since I myself am not a developer? Possibly a link to someone on Envato Studio that you know could get the job done? It seems like a good resource, but I am no better suited to choose a professional than I am to do the work!

Please make sure you have added your filter area in your grid settings under layout tab. The filter buttons will be only display if it match items present in your grid.

Hi There,
I received the grid with my X theme license and until recently everything was working well. Now when i use the skin builder and add an element – post title for example and then click the element and edit the styles – everything is blank. So when i click styles and then any of the options like font, visibility, border etc it just shows a blank section. Before the options for font size etc all used to appear. Can you help with this?

The Grid comes with a Skin Builder which allows to build your own item skins. It possible to add custom HTML or use shortcode in the skin builder. About the functionality you want to add to your button, it will requires that you create a custom script in order to make it.
Moreover, The Grid also comes with an advanced API for developers in order to build custom skins.

Pracia skin is available as custom editable skin in the main downloadable .zip package of The Grid on CodeCanyon. You will find the Pracia.json file to import in The Grid in demo data > Custom skins > Grid > Pracia.json.

The Grid can display metadata values in a custom skin thansk to the skin builder.
However, it will display values as it was stored in your custom field. So, it requires to create a shortcode in order to manipulate the date format.
So, yes it’s possible to display the date in standard format but it requires to create/add a custom shortcode with PHP.

1) When sorting the grid is there a way to keep the items “not selected” on the grid layout just re-sort the grid for the items selected to be at the top and the items not selected in that sub category to fall to the bottom?
2) Can i share the page to email from the grid?

1) I’m not sure to fully understand what you mean about the sort functionality. The sort functionality allows to dynamically sort items present in a grid by a value like a date or a title. Depending of the sort value selected items will be arranged in a certain order. It’s not possible to modify this natural behaviour.
2) Thanks to the skin builder, you will be able to add custom links and elements. So, you can add custom link with the native “mailto:?” url in order to open the email client of the user.

Yes, you can display meta data from Wordpress custom fields thanks to the skin builder which comes with The Grid. The Grid also comes with 33 custom skins that you can easily edit. So, you will be able, with some clicks, to change a title with a custom field for example.

1) You can display custom post types thanks to The Grid
2) I’m not sure to fully understand whjat you mean. With the grid you can create layout up to 12 columns. You also have the ability to load more items on scroll or with a load more button. You take a look at the live demo of The Grid in order to see the behaviour.
3) The Grid comes with a skin builder, so you will be able to create your own skin and add your custom button. If you button is just a link, no coding are required. Moreover, you can use custom fields value in a skin.
4) The Grid is a grid plugin, and not a dedicated filtering system. However, thansk to The Grid, you can replace the native search result of Wordpress. So, you will be able to display your search result from Wordpress with The Grid in the native search.php template.
5) The Grid is compatible with RTL layout as mentioned in the product description.
6) THe Grid is responsive. You should take a look at the live demo.
7) I’m sure to fully understand what you mean. Shortcode is a native Wordpress feature. You can add a grid shortcode anywhere you want in your theme in order to display a grid.

You can use the Youtube skin with any post type. All skins works with all source type (custom post types or social streams). When using as source a post type, you will not be able to show the Youtube video duration if you are using video post format and Youtube video ID for your video.

Is there a way to have a LOAD MORE and LOAD all? I don’t want to constantly be scrolling to view all 150+ items or having to constantly click LOAD MORE x50 … that will get annoying really quick for our clients.

Can I use other filter plugins with the Grid?

Unfortunately, this is not possible. It will require a deep integration to make it work with another 3rd party plugin.
The only one case, where it will work with other filtering plugin is when using The Grid as template with Woocommerce for example (and if the filtering plugin do not use ajax method to query filtered items).
