I’ve purchased the PRO version and the message is there. Guess it’s generated by Microsoft’s online document viewer… Not sure what to do about this, would love to see the message disappear too…

The viewers can handle files of a limited size only (Maximum 8MB for Google Docs Viewer and 10MB for Microsoft Office Online). Try your best to keep the documents under 5MB for the better view.

Just a bit more information to share about the “file missing” error message I and several other folks have been recently encountering when using the latest version of the Embed plugin. If I change the viewer from “Microsoft” to “Google”, then my documents will echo and without the “file missing” message. So the problem with the newest plugin version seems to be related to the “Microsoft” viewer, which IMHO is a better viewer than the “Google” one. I hope you are able to resolve this issue in the very near future.

We use your Embed Any Document plugin (first the free version to get a overview of the capability). We love this plugin but it has some issues with PDF viewing:
Our customer is a national certification authority for technician in agronomy. These technicians need to read and download some PDF documents (most of them are important guidelines and infos to get their certification).
Sometimes, the files are not viewable on the page, but the “download” links always appear and will download the files, which means that the files are not missing or misspelled…
Sometimes, refreshing the page solve the issue, but mostly it don’t. The users are very confused about this behavior.
Do you have any findings about this issue? It is pretty urgent meanwhile…

I am sorry for the troubles. Google Docs Viewer is notorious for the stability issues, especially for Office documents that are hosted elsewhere! Did you try Microsoft Office Viewer? It should be stable and more user-friendly for all the files.
When using the Plus version, we recommend two solutions for stability.
Use Google Drive to host your files – We have hardly seen any downtime for the documents that are embedded in Google Drive
Use Box.com – Box.com has its own viewer. It’s super stable and also comes with various privacy settings.

For generating API keys for the plugin you essentially are creating a Google API app. As per Google’s recent API update, you need to go through verification before you launch a user-facing app. The message just means that the app you have created is not manually verified by them.
As per their official docs, you do not have to get the app verified if you are using it for internal purposes. If the ‘Not verified’ message is still bothering you, you can submit a verification request to Google. Please refer https://support.google.com/cloud/answer/7454865?hl=en

It is possible to make is it possible to limit infinite line scrolling in microsoft view for excel files, or is this just like the other plugins I tried to use and have that infinite row and column scroll? I’m thinking of buying but I have this doubt.
