Hi, I’ve looked at your demo and i have a few pre-sales questions. Would you be able to answer these?
1) Will it also work with documents you add via the wordpress media library?
2) Is it multisite compatible?
3) Can the document viewers be opened in a modal window? (instead of being in the page)
4) Are you using shortcodes to render the document viewer to a page? (as i would like to call the document viewer “window” to appear from another plugin)

The plugin does not come with a native viewer to display documents. We are making use of the document viewer services from Google, Microsoft, and Box.com for a seamless experience. We do not have the control over any features that comes with the viewer.

Google PDF Viewer no longer works. Microsoft Viewer is unselectable. This is through an uploaded PDF to the wordpress library. Do I need Google API for this to work now?
Looks like your link needs to google docs viewer needs to be updated for the embedded viewer?

Usually, errors show up when the API settings are not configured properly. In that case, please double-check the API configurations with the steps. Make sure you have enabled Drive API and Google Picker API in API Manager. If it’s still not working, try generating a new API key and client ID. We really have little control over how the API reacts. It usually works fine for a second try.
However, since you have tried your best, please create an admin account for us and share the login details. We will check if there is any site-specific issue and get back to you.

The viewers cache your documents when accessed for the first time, to improve the performance. The Google Docs Viewer in our plugin comes with an option to disable the cache, though. You must check ‘Do not cache this file’ option when you add the document

Hi, even when using this option. The form does not reflect a change UNLESS I open it in the doc viewer. The embeded doc on the page does NOT show the change at all. I would have to delete my history to reflect it. Any way around that?

The viewers (Google Docs Viewer and Microsoft Office Online) do not support locally hosted files. Your document has to be available online for the viewers to access.

Hello, I’ve been using embed any document while setting up a new site. Great plugin! Now I’m setting up the site “clean” from a fresh Wordpress setup. Unfortunately the plugin is no longer working: the add document button does nothing and on hover shows javascript:void(0). This problem has been raised in your help section but I couldn’t benefit. I would appreciate your help. Please note I cannot work with code except in the most rudimentary way, following directions to file location, lines, and specific code to check or change. I think I may have just submitted this but I got an error message:
The plugin is not letting me embed a document from google drive. It will let me browse folders but shows no documents to select despite the fact that both the document and the folder its in are 100% public.

The documents embedded looks fine now on your website.
When you host your files on your own server and embed using the plugin, there are chances of some downtime. This is because the documents have to be processed by Google Docs Viewer in a remote server before it can be shown on your website. You can avoid such issues by hosting your documents in Google Drive and embed right from there.
