Hi, we cannot hand out logins – we will try to fix this ourselves. Another quick question – does this plugin ALWAYS create unique URLs for each poll? Or is there a way to disable this function? We do not want to have a ton of useless poll sites, as we just add them to our sidebar.

Concerning your second question, unfortunately you can’t disable this functionality because we use WordPress custom post types built-in feature to handle polls which creates the unique URLs automatically.

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately i think you may have misunderstood my question (or it wasn’t clear)

What i want to happen when a user clicks the vote button is for them to be redirected to a DIFFERENT page (for eg: /poll-thanks). I didn’t mean that i wanted the page with the poll to refresh.

Is it possible for the user to be redirected to a thank you page? The thank you page must then include in the body the results of the poll they just voted on.

The “view results” link on the poll should also redirect to this page so users that haven’y voted (or voted before) can also view results on the on the new page (instead of in the sidebar)

Hope that makes more sense is it possible? and at what cost.

Do you mean there is already a page that has a content inside it and you want the visitors to get redirected to that specific page after voting or pressing “Ciew Results” ? In that case, Where to show the poll results ?

Yes that problem was exist in one of old TotalPoll versions (Probably 2.4 or 2.3), We already fixed this problem within the newer releases, So please first try to update TotalPoll in your website to 2.6, And see if the problem get fixed.

If the problem didnt get fixed then probably its a conflict with one of the plugins, For that we will ask you to send us a temporary access to your wp-admin on our support center.

Ok we think we understand what you want, Try to do the following :

1. Go to Polls -> Addons, And enable “User limitations” addon (It comes along with TP).
2. Go to the poll page and from Limitation tab, Check Only logged in users can vote
3. From the same tab, Check Cookies and IP (Try not to enable sessions because it will ruin what we wanna do)
4. Set Cookies Timeout and IP Timeout to 1440.

Now these settings should allow only users to vote, And at the same time it makes the plugin secure revoting by cookies and IP for a period of 1 day.

For testing purposes and to know if that system suits what you want, We will suggest you make the timeout something like 1 minute and try.

As we can see, Your theme is hiding the input fields for some reason in style.css:96.

You can remove these two lines from style.css, Then the radio buttons should appear :

-webkit-appearance: none;
-moz-appearance: none

Or just provide us with a temporary access to your wp-admin through a message to our support center and we do it for you.

About the size of the images, TotalPoll creates a 150×150px copy of the full size image and put it in the thumbnail field, This is why they appear small.

To make them bigger, Go to your poll options page, Then open Choice tab, And on each choice, Copy the content of Full Image field and paste it in Image field (thumbnail), And you should be fine.

I’m installing the correct files. I can’t extract the zip files via FTP (FileZilla won’t do it) and I don’t have cPanel. I can extract them on my machine and upload the folders to the FTP.

This should be an easy task! Why won’t this work?

Yes, You can extract them, And you will get a folder with the name of the template i.e “photo-contest”.

Upload that folder to your_wp_installation/wp-content/plugins/totalpoll/templates and you should see it from Polls -> Templates.

If that didnt work then please provide us with a temporary access to your wp-admin through our support center.

Actually feature number 16 shows that you can hide the “Number of votes” and “Votes percentages” from visitors, And that what is happening, And it actually works on the demo, So probably its misunderstanding to the functionality of the feature.
