Hello – I purchased the Add-On for your pol – but its not able to upload. Any advice?
I was able to figure out that you upload the add-on within the settings. However, I am having problems with creating a poll with a custom choice: For example, I click on the “custom choice” option – but the poll ignores this – leaving no place for the poll taker to add their own choice. Do you have any advice?
I bought the add-on. But the “Custom Choice” doesnt appear to be showing up.

Yes of course, there are two ways to do that:
- Change these expressions directly in template files (not recommended).
- Translate these expressions to your language using the .po & .mo files (recommended).

We have tested the translations, The problem was with naming the files, The name should be totalpoll-el for both files and not totallpoll-el_GR, For some reason it was denying the GR, Also dont forget to remove the extra L letter in total word.
P.S: We need a greek translation for our plugin, We would like to know if you want to allow us using it and we will give you one item of your choice from our addons / templates store in return for free! ?

Is there a way the same poll can be shown on different ways, I mean, I bought the starterpack that gives the photo contest template, and activated on my main page, but I want it to appear also as a widget on the sidebar, but with different template, but keeping the vote count, it is possible?

Is it posible to prevent visitors (who are NOT logged in) from re-voting? I’ve tried serveral settings but everytime after a couple of hours it’s possible to vote again. I’ve tried the settings for Cookies, IP-adress. Nothing seems to work. My client is depending on a clean result!!
If it is NOT posible to prevent users from re-voting this plugin is useless. You can never get an accurate vote because people will keep re-voting their own choice.
One other thing:the link from the plugins ‘About’ to the userguide, links to a 404-page…

Yes, TotalPoll provides more than 4 powerful security layers, Enabling Sessions, Cookies along with IP Address should do the thing the IP Range can help alot too.
The reason why some of the visitors are able to vote once again after a while is because of the timeout, Its wrong to set a high number for the timeout, Because that will make it stop working.
For the cookies, Try to set a timeout like 4320 (3 days in minutes), And set IP Timeout to 0 to make it permanent!, It’s very important to set IP timeout to 0 in your case, But make sure that you’re using the latest version (2.6) because it doesnt work with the previous versions.
One other thing:the link from the plugins ‘About’ to the userguide, links to a 404-page…

Before I buy, wanted to know if this supports:
- setting the starting vote numbers (as we’re migrating from another poll solution we can’t start from scratch)
- Vote based on USER tracking as opposed to IP only; some people are in the same house but want to vote individually for example or some people may vote from their mobile to come back to the desktop site to see their vote wasn’t counted

We have two security layers, IP Address that prevent revoting by checking the IP of the voter, And User Vote Once Which allows the user to vote once only on each poll, But note that the second security layer doesnt come along with TotalPoll, It can be purchased separately.

This can be controlled through another security layer that comes with TotalPoll called IP Range, With this you can control if it’s possible for people within the same network host to vote separately or not.

TotalPoll doesn’t give you an option for notifications, But thats still possible with some customizations, Please let us know which type of notification do you want?
About the checkboxes that doesnt appear, Please enable “Theme Fixes” addon from Polls -> Addons.

2. Yes, You can include the poll within a post/page (as shortcode) or in a sidebar (as widget).
3. You can add as many choices as you want, No limit
4. Yes thats possible, You will need to enable the “Private Results” addon (It’s already included within TotalPoll).
5. About sharing, TotalPoll already doesnt share results, The share message can be modified by you anyways.
6. You can see the poll results within wp-admin in the poll edit page.

Infact, You cannot download the logs manually because when you press that “Download Logs” button, TotalPoll generates that file by using some of the poll data.

It’s possible to have a counter to display the quantity of votes,for example if you have “User can give multiple answers” and “limit multiple answers 3”, I’d like to have a counter to display : You have 3 votes, then if you choose one the counter will be : You have 2 votes and something like that, Is there a way to do that?, a way to get the variable?
