Cards not sending.
I´ve the same issue like SusanBroad:I send test emails, I get the confirmation, but no email arrives..

What i did for checking the functionality: - tried sending ecards via SMTP with the recomended wp-mail-smtp plugin. The wp-mail-smtp-test works but not the ecard-sending. - installed akismet for testing. I won´t use akismet in cause of the privacy restrictions in Germany. - and for testing i deactivated all the other plugins.
An other things is, that i can´t insert text for the submit-button. I fix this manually in the database. On every saving of the plungin-settings it leaves the submit-button field blank again. And on the diagnosis card I tried to test the wp_mail() function which ins´t working.
The site, where I want to use ecards, is in developement and has to relauch this weekend O_o. You can see the basic ecard page on this URL: http://worldskills.de/ecards/.

I think this has been fixed. A new release is coming this weekend with several other bugs squashed.
Please give me a refund. I cannot get this to work and I have a deadline. I send test emails, I get the confirmation, but no email arrives. I can’t turn off all my plugins and my current email hosting company takes too long to respond, so I’m going to have to figure out something else.
Did you check your spam/junk folder? Did you correctly set up your email options?
Unfortunately, refunds are not available unless the plugin fails to work or generates fatal errors.
Hi, there is a mysterious tickbox on the second row between two of the ecards, and I cannot figure out how to remove it, your assistance is greatly appreciated!!!!!

Try to remove that image and resave it, it might be corrupted and WordPress does not recognize it.
How does one get this to work with flash files (.swf)?
Flash is no longer supported. Why are you using Flash? If you want an animated eCard, try either an animated GIF or HTML5.
It is not my decision. It is my client’s. I know that you supported flash at one time. When did you stop? I wish I would have know this before we paid for your plugin.
What other kinds of files does your plugin support?
It’s an eCard plugin, so it’s only images. The description says there is no Flash, and the changelog shows the removal of this feature a while ago.
When I did a search of the comments here, last I really saw was your announcement of a year ago that you did support it, so I wasn’t expecting a decrease in plugin features.
In any case, would you supply an older version of your plugin that does support flash for us to use? My client is wondering.
Old versions with Flash upload are unsupported and unavailable, unfortunately. I’m sorry about this.

Yes, there is a user upload option/button which allows user to upload their own images.
On the post where I placed the shortcode I am getting this error message: Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_pro_member() in …/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/ecards/shortcode-hack.php on line 322
shortcode-hack.php is not part of the plugin. Where did you get the plugin from? Also, is_pro_member() is not an eCards function.
I do not know. I took over this project after a different web designer installed it a few months ago. I thought the problem was a conflict with Paid Memberships Pro plugin, but even after I uninstalled that the fatal error remained. If I remove your eCards shortcode, or if I disable the eCards plugin, the error goes away. I am using WP 4.1.2 and ecards plugin Version 2.7 | By Ciprian Popescu.
I can send you the current version, but I need proof that the plugin was purchased from CodeCanyon. You would have to track the previous developer. Do you have any backups for the site, so you can grab an older version of the plugin? It looks hacked.
I spoke with the client who thought it was purchased, but said it would be easier just to buy the plugin again. The previous designer may have made modifications and it could be too difficult to fix those at this point.

I am a taking over a pre-existing site for a client, and this plugin was already installed. We are trying to have the site charge money for sending special ecards. Do I need the regular or extended license? Also, how can I tell which license the site already has? I can’t tell what the license is from the plugin settings.
Hi, you don’t need any special license and you can’t tell which license you currently have. The only thing is that you won’t be able to download updates, as you would need access to the previous developer’s Envato account.
It’s Version 2.7, so I don’t need any updates right now. So you’re saying that we can use this plugin and charge customers for ordering ecards through them and we don’t need to buy the extended license, right?

You can use the plugin with the integrated PayPal feature or use third-party plugins, such as Restrict Content Pro.

Hi great plugin. Quick question. Is there any option to open the thumbnail in a lightbox or is that theme related? Also how do I delete a generated thumbnail. Finally. Is there a way to select a thumbnail that changes the main image.

That’s a theme thing. Or you can install a plugin. I used jQuery Colorbox (free) for a while, and it worked fine.
More than 1 question there. Also when I upload or add an image it doesn’t always work, as in it doesn’t give me the selection circle below the image. And once there I can’t remove the image and selection. I don’t understand this “Images should be uploaded directly to the post or page, not from the Media Library. Inserting the images is not necessary, as the plugin creates the eCard automatically.” how else do you get them on the page?
Ok I can get it working eventually. Currently i seem to have to upload the image to the page twice for it to take. Is there not a definitive way of doing this? Also how do I remove an image and the radio button? Driving me slightly mad now as this seems like it should be simple.
Ah ok. I see what is happening on the upload. For your info. When I add the image to the post it works. When I select a featured image for the post (same picture) it stops the original working. I have to upload again.
Yes, this is the intended behaviour. Some posts may have a special featured image which might be different than the eCard.
Gotcha. But again! how do I remove an image that has the radio button? I remove the image but the circle remains.
That’s not possible. If you go to “Add Media” inside that post and delete the image, there shouldn’t be an empty radio button anymore.
Ok. So you are saying delete the picture completely not just by deleting the code on the post.

And, also, you shouldn’t have any code in the page, just the [ecard] shortcode. The plugin automatically picks up the attached images.
Yeah that got it thanks. No didn’t mean code like that I just meant the info on the embedded image. Thanks. I have my head around it now. Might be worth adding that quickly to the documentation. Thanks again.

Add .ecard_from { width: 243px !important; } to your style.css file. It seems that your theme conflicts with the input field.

I just purchased this module and every time I try to send an email Akismet blocks it. It does the same thing on your demo site. Is there a setting for this? The only way I can get it to work is if I deactivate akismet, which I do not want to do.

Hi Tom, it works for me, so I suppose there’s something with your email address. I will add an option to disable Akismet for eCards only in the next version.
Hi, just purchased. I need the images to be larger (i.e. 300×300) but all images to be hard cropped so they look all the same size. When I choose “thumbnail” all images on ecard page are the same size, but when I choose 300×300 its all different sizes. see here: http://www.vantage-websites.co/tessacason/ecards/ can you please advise how to fix this?

Hi, where did you choose 300×300 from? The available sizes are thumbnail, medium and large (and also other sizes declared elsewhere in your theme). Are you using the latest version? Can you post a screenshot with your thumbnail settings?

When I choose “thumbnail” they are all aligned nicely, however its far too small… that is why I want medium. But the alignment is terrible… Your help is greatly appreciated.

Yes. Medium is 300×300, so you should use the thumbnail regeneration plugin and check the Medium size and the “Featured images only”. I have tried it on my dev server and it definitely works, if images are bigger than 300×300. If they are 300×200 (for example) it won’t work.

Yes, there is an option which allows you to enable/disable user uploads.
Hello again, I downloaded your new update, and wanted to thank you again for staying with your plugin and continuing to make it better and better! I really respect you as a programmer and an author for doing this. I’m always excited to see what you’ve changed and added. (My secret wish:) I’m crossing my fingers that you’re plug-in will one day include a database, so that our subscribers can keep track of their information, cards they sent, etc. I know it’s a lot of work though. But sign me up and take my money if you ever decide to do it!!! HOWEVER, I am just happy for every new thing you do to the plug in, regardless. Thank you again for being such a great Author!

Unfortunately no. However, you could try a free plugin, called qTranslate, which might be able to add more languages to your email body.

Unfortunately, I’ve never used WPML, and the best multilanguage solution is the WordPress native one, using text domain. I’ll look into it, but I can’t promise anything.

It is working now. It seems reCAPTCHA is fauly, so the next version of eCards will feature Akismet instead of reCAPTCHA.
How do you get the choice of images? How do you display images for users to chose from?
You simply upload the images to a post or a page, and the plugin generates a grid of thumbnails.

Would it be possible to have a seperate page where we can get an overview of all the e-mail addresses and users that sent and received an eCard?
No, the plugin doesn’t store any email addresses or users.
