I need to bring some issues to your attention.
When you visit the website for the first time a box displays asking you to share your location. After clicking ‘share location’, the location pins don’t show the thumbnail photos and it’s not clickable, by that I mean after clicking the location pin it doesn’t link to the post.
It works in chrome but not microsoft and firefox.
I emptied the browser cookies and refreshed the page a couple of times but the problem still exists.
Can you find out what’s going on please? Without this map, our websites won’t be usable.

Hi, I’m having an issue with the map not displaying when the browser (not the map) is zoomed in past 100%. It appears to be happening when the Main Layout is set to ‘Fit in the box (Map only)’ and the page must be freshly reloaded. I’ve fixed it by adding this css .codespacing_progress_map_area {min-height: 275px;} but wanted to report it here.
I’m concerned because visually impaired users will keep their browsers zoomed past 100% when browsing and will not see the map.

Sorry for the delay. This is odd, i’ve tried to reproduce this issue in my test site but nothing happened. I think it’s an isolated case. I’ll try to investigate about this issue more. Meanwhile, please keep your custom CSS code to fix it.

Similar question to another user “masalamedia”, but I’ve just seen your demo. It looks great. Perfect for tourism sites. Which is what I’m looking for. However, in the demo, whenever you click on the “more information”, it takes you off the map, and onto a new page, which would be really annoying for people trying to browse through many locations. Is there anyway, to have the post with extra info, display underneath the map, eg on the same page? Thanks, hopefully this is possible, because after looking at other free plugins this afternoon, yours is much better, and for 19 dollars, that would be great. Thanks. Kenny.

Unfortunately, this option is not available. You can choose to open the link in a new window/tab, this is doable from the plugin settings.

Hello, i recently buy Progress Map. But it does not work properly. I mean when i hover on a marker carousel does not respond(no movement NOTHING) A double checked everything. My settings seem alright. Can you help me?
When I have the option “load all info_box on map load” the plugin doesn’t work. When i have the option “load on marker hover” the plugin works. I think there is a problem with the carousel settings.
I have one more request. I want to change your plugin to load the correct carousel item on “map_idle” event instead of hover or click. Can you give me some pointers to implement it?

Sorry for the delay. Is this means that the map is not showing anymore or that the plugin settings can not be saved? Try to remove that portfolio category and try again. This is just to make sure that the problem is due to adding that category.

Excludes the category but nothing happened. The blue spots keep coming the problem is that my custom spots are gone. Marker categories option to save it back to NO option

Hi from Germany! It is very important for me to show the maps with the Google Transit Layer overlay. Currently you only provide the traffic layer. My intent is to build an international (all countries, all states and provinces, and all cities) classified ads and directory listing portal with front end submission for all users. Perhaps I do not exactly understand the main features of your plugin, so my questions might be stupid, but I need to ask them anyway.
1) does your plugin come bundled with the location database, i.e. country, state/province, city, etc., or does the database build itself as listings are submitted by users?
2) are one-time listing submissions by front-end users possible – in other words, if a user has no permanent business to list, and just wants to sell his car but has no plans to use the website again for any purpose (just like many classified ads websites), is this ok with your plugin?
3) does your plugin come with the filtering functionality as in your demos, or is that to be provided by a separate filtering plugin?
4) since your plugin works right out of the box, am I correct that it should work with any kind of theme, whether a multi-purpose theme, or even a directory listing theme that has its own functionality to build lists (but is rather difficult to learn)?
5) also, is it possible to add sub-categories, sub-sub-categories, several levels deep, and will the same functionality,- i.e. filtering, sorting, searching, etc. – that applies to categories also apply to sub-categories and sub-sub-categories? If yes, how many levels of sub-categories can I add while retaining the same functionality, i.e., filtering sorting, searching, etc. ?

- The plugin will use your database. You need to add new listings in order to display them on the map.

- The plugin comes with a front-end form to use for the front-end submition. There’s no restrictions on who can use the form and how, it’s up to you to decide how you want to use it.

- Yes, the plugin come with the filtering functionality.

- Yes, the plugin can be used with any Wordpress Theme. The plugin will be adapted to your theme no matter the way it uses to build listings. If the theme uses a Custom post type then it will be compatible with the plugin.

- In the filter, all categories and sub-categories and sub-categories … will be displayed no matter the level but unfortunately, they will not be displayed hierarchicaly, they’ll be displayed as a simple list.

- Never tried to check this and honestly i don’t know.

I noticed someone asked a year ago whether you will be providing support for multiple maps – your response: very soon – but I haven’t seen an update for it at this time.
I am trying to do the following:
Neighborhood 1 Page: Show local businesses which can be filtered by restaurants, entertainment, bars, museums, etc.
Neighborhood 2 Page: Show local businesses which can be filtered by restaurants, entertainment, bars, museums, etc.
Neighborhood 3 Page: Show local businesses which can be filtered by restaurants, entertainment, bars, museums, etc.
I have to keep all businesses separate with each neighborhood. Meaning, Businesses from Neighborhood 1 should not show up in Neighborhood 2.
Is this possible?

Hello, apologize for my english. Before sending you a comment a don’t find in the big list of comments the way to do a faceted search on a “custom taxonomy”. seems to me that when we select “categories” in the marker categories settings only the “core categories of wordpress” are available. By example i’m using a portfolio post type with his own categories and tags. ( i meen the post type ins not using core wordpress categories) Is it and of course how can i select a “custom category” ? Sorry for the delay. Please note that you can use the plugin with any Custom post type and its custom taxonomies. First of all, you need to make sure to connect the plugin with your custom post type (portfolio) and then, the plugin will automatically display its custom taxonomies in Marker Categories Settings.

Presales question – In the demo, when you click the placemarker (or MORE INFO in the carousel) you go to the post page for that location. Is it possible to disable this or specify a custom URL?
Alternatively, is it possible to click the placemark (or MORE INFO) and get the post to appear as a lightbox so the user isn’t navigating away from the main map page? THAT would be my ideal scenario.

I have found a rather serious (and strange bug):
When I am embedding the map with php the map always goes back to auto-center, even if the user drags it or zooms in. As a result, the user cannot navigate the map at all, since he only sees the central area.

On the other hand, when I write a shortcode on the WP editor, everything works fine.

Sorry for the delay.I think i know what the problem is. In the plugin, there’s a code that re-centers the map after resizing the browser. In your case, i know that you didn’t resize the browser but i think somehow, that code was fired and that’s why the map reacted that way. To make sure of this, i’ll need to ask you to send me the login to your site at plugin.progressmap@gmail.com to check this or i can send you the plugin with that code deactivated so you can test it yourself.

Hi, that doesn’t work. It moves and fixes the blue_cloud at some certain zoom level, but then at other zoom levels they are moved outside of the infobox (at the different direction, now)

- Yes you can. Please go to marker categories settings => Marker categories option and select the option Yes, then, select a Taxonomy in the next field and SAVE your settings.
A new field titled Add marker image will be visible. Use this field to upload your custom marker for each category.

Is there a better guide to getting started other than the one listed on your site? I just purchased this plugin and I don’t have a clear understanding of how it works. For instance, when I paste the shortcode into a post, the map that appears is London, although I have put coordinates in for another place. Do you have a step-by-step guide?
