Hello. Thank you for a great composer plug-in! I’ve been using it on a site I’ve been working on and a couple of days ago I started seeing error messages on the individual pages about the content not being available (sorry, don’t remember exactly what it said) and while it wasn’t there in the editor it still appeared in the live site. When I clicked the link to update all of the content put in via VC on those pages vanished. Even from the live pages. I have NOT upgraded to WP 4.1 yet, nor have I otherwise updated anything else for the site in weeks. Running version 4.1.3.1 of VC.
Is this a known issue? I have contacted the developer and put in a ticket. but he has been historically MIA for the last two months, so I’m not holding my breath.
Happy to purchase the license directly if I have to so I can update to the most current version, but if that course of action isn’t going to fix the problem then I’ll just wait and hope the author decides to be helpful. Sorry for the mini-rant. Hope it’s as simple as updating!
Hi, we haven’t received such complains before, but VC 4.1… is really outdated so I would recommend to update your VC up to the latest version and see if it solves the problem. If this does not help we have support in place for our direct customers for more detailed investigation.

When I set an image to full size it no longer fills the div, but it make the image really full size, it jacked all my images. http://relieffoods.com/about-us/ This really needs to be fixed.

Hello, I have a pre-purchase question for you, although I have purchased this plugin a number of times, I wanted to know something prior to purchasing the EXTENDED LICENSE.
If I purchase the extended license, am I able to re-use the plugin on multiple websites without having to re-purchase and put in a new purchase code?
Basically what would be the difference between the regular license and the Extended License.

Hi, extended license is for a services where users get charged, but can not access source files. What you are talking about (using VC on multiple sites) – you are talking about Developers or Multisite license which is completely different from extended license. Currently Envato does not offer multisite license so for each website you are using VC you will need separate license.

I received Visual Composer along with the theme I purchased (Newspaper) and for some reason, my license key is no longer working and being described as “invalid”. Can you help?
Hi, if you received VC within a theme you do not have direct license key for Visual Composer. This restricts you to receive direct updates and also access official support. If you want to update your VC you should choose one of 2 options: 1) ask your theme author to update VC on their side and push it to you 2) or consider purchasing direct license.

Hello.
I was wanting to view your videos at the VC Academy, but when I click the link I get a 522 (?) error saying that your website of offline.
Is this correct and if so when will it be available as I am wanting to check out the videos to get a feel as to how to implement a parallax effect on a website that I’m building.

Hi, there was an issue with our website, but it is solved already. As for parallax – currently there is no option to add parallax in VC, but we are working on it. At that point you can consider adding parallax add-on to Visual Composer which extends capabilities of VC row element. You can check all add-ons developed by 3rd party vendors at vc.wpbakery.com/addons/

Hi, we do not test VC with php 5.5 – we are working according to WordPress guidelines described in codex. Nevertheless there shouldn’t be any problems and we haven’t received any complains yet.

Hi there,
I just received your more recent update via the Ultimatum theme. Yet again, the VC Backend editor is giving me issues. I see the Visual Composer box, but all of my content is listed in the WYSIWYG editor as shortcode instead of the visual elements. It also seems to be causing some conflicts with the envira gallery and intense shortcodes plugins…
Any idea how to fix this?

Hi, we are not aware of Ultimatum theme modifications for VC so I would recommend to talk to Ultimatum theme directly so they can help you solve the issue as there is a lot of custom code.

I just updated Visual Composer on my website and the Single Image photos are wrapping weird and not scaling in Firefox like they were the the previous Visual Composer version. In Safari the Single Image looks fine.

I think I figured it out a bit, but would like to know what switched with this version if possible. I added: .vc_single_image-img {width:100%;} to my Editor css and that seemed to fix things for the Firefox browser.
Hi, yes, there was a small issue – this fix will be included in the next update where there will be some quick fixes as well.

I noticed several complaints of drag and drop not working in WP 4.1. Ever since I installed 4.1, I can’t move anything around. This came bundled in Jollyany themes. How do I fix it?

Just found the answer. The older version is not compatible with WP 4.1 which is funny as I just purchased the theme last month. I really need to get it working properly and don’t think I should be forced to buy it separately to get all the functions working properly. Very annoying.
Hi, VC 4.1 was releases long before WP 4.1 so this is why there are problems. If you purchased theme and received VC bundled there is no option to get direct updates. It is also not forced to buy separate version – you can ask your theme author if they can update VC on their side and push it to you. If they are not performing it, it takes long time or you want to have direct update option yourself then you can consider purchasing direct license. Direct license also allows you to access official WPBakery support.

Thanks. 90% of the time I use VC for creating rows and columns only, so to not be able to move elements was pretty annoying. I rely on Ultimate Add On elements for just about everything. I wouldn’t even consider VC w/o them. As for the conflict, I was able to resolve it on my own. Thanks.
Great plugin that is included in many of my themes. However, I keep having one problem on all sites. For some reason visual composer removes a bunch of
-tags so there is only one start and end
-tag left. Is this some conflict with Tinymce advanced? It is very annoying and time consuming. This is for the text block and has been so for a long time.
Would be very thankful for a solution!

Hi, Visual Composer is using TinyMCE – we have not yet worked on TinyMCE Advanced compatibility a lot, but we have this in our to-do list.

Hello, I’ve been using this plugin integrated into X theme and I really don’t know what it’s not the standard WP editor. It really makes the difference!
I’ve recently bought BeTheme which also includes VC and I’ve fallen in love with Masonry Media Grid element. However, the image grid created with this element isn’t linked as a gallery and it really bothers me as it doesn’t allow me to create useful media galleries.
Is is possible to link images inside Media Grids so that once opened inside prettyPhoto, they become linked, allowing a slideshow functionality?
Hi, thanks for nice words. As for linking – I have just checked it and it is working just fine at our end. Please check if you have any errors in console and make sure you are using latest possible version of VC.

Can you confirm that Media Grid images opened in prettyPhoto are linked together? In other words, once opened, you can switch to next / previous without exiting the prettyPhoto?
I’m using VC shipped with BeTheme so it may not be the latest available.

Hi, if it is based on shortcode there should be no problem, but I would recommend to talk to also SVGmap plugin author to understand if he/she has tested it with VC. We ourselves haven’t tested it, but also did not received any complains yet.

We’re using your composer with the Venedor theme that uses ‘blocks’ (a custom post type) to display content above a post or product. NOw we have it designed and looks all nice but as soon as we tell the post to use the ‘block’ it renders the parts but none of the formatting.
Alternatively do you a solution so we can render our designed content above every page? SOmething like a template system to apply to all products or products within a category?

Hi, regarding block element I would recommend to talk to theme author on how he/she implemented it. As for template system – there is Templatera add-on which extends capabilities of template system and allows managing templates from one place.

What a great plugin! This plugin was included in the Pro Business theme and just started working with it. My question: I have version 4.3.5 and Wordpress does not seem to automatically update the plugin to version 4.4.2 It says I need to activate the license. But I only have a license for my theme (Pro Business, CMS superheroes) which included Visual Composer. How do I activate version 4.3.2. so I can update to version 4.4.2? The answers I got from CMS heroes did not work, so hope you guys can help me out? Kind regards,

Love your work! I’m using the post slider and I have two questions:
How do I turn off animation? I really need this one. Can I set a length for the description? or disable it all together? I see I can disable he description in the setting but that turns off the tile too. I would like to show just the title and no description.

Hi, if you are referring to new post grid element (added from version 4.4.0) – there is a Grid Element Builder which allows easily to manipulate with different parts of grid element.
As for length of description – there we use excerpt delivered from post and it is defined by WordPress. You can also use manual excerpt to control amount for every individual post.

I was about to buy this for a client, but now that I see that it doesn’t support entering Schema micro data, I worry it will harm my clients more than help them, as a result of their site “looking” great, but not being found well.
Until this functionality is supported, and schema markup doesn’t get overwritten by the plugin, I can’t purchase.

Hi guys, love you plugin and all has been working okay until I did a wordpress upgrade to the latest version. The Image Carousel is not acting up. Previously it was annoying that it didn’t carousel to the first image after the last image but instead showed a ugly white space with nothing in it. Hi, could you please open support ticket at support.wpbakery.com and share your site credentials so we can take a closer look. Also Image Carousel element is a bit outdated. Have you tried our new Media Grid or Masonry Media Grid – with them you can replicate Image Carousel look without problems, but have tons of additional options and no problems at all.
