Great plug-in! One question though. Is there an option to send a copy to the sender of the eCard? And if not, is there a possibility you might add this functionality in the future?

I’ve downloaded the update and installed it via FTP. However, when logging into the admin area, I still see the previous version.
Are you sure? Did you replace all the files in the eCards folder? There’s no way you still see the previous version.

Okay, I had it working on Wordpress 3.5.1 and we upgraded to WP 4.0, I installed the upgrade (I’m using using eCards version 2.5.0.2 with UTF-8 charset and reCAPTCHA library version 1.11.), and now it tells me it’s sending, but my tests never arrives in my email box. I’ve tried several email addresses I have and none of them are working.
I’m lost for answers.

Set the size of ecards to Thumbnail in plugin’s options. Also, select one of the available themes, Vintage or Metro.

The link doesn’t go to the original eCard page that has 4 eCards to choose from, but rather a page that houses just the “chosen” eCard that sits on a page of it’s own. I didn’t actually createe a page/post that only houses the one chosen card, the plug-in just does it automatically. The coding in the plug-in has to use one of the templates in the site theme and I was hoping there would be a place to change it to point to a particular template. It’s okay if it shows the site structure (top menu etc.) but showing categories, archives etc. underneath the card looks like crap.
Can you show me an example?

I’d like to know how to change the “default template” that the eCard shows up in when clicking the “Click to see your eCard” link in the received email. I don’t want it to use just the default template from my theme because it contains more than what I want them to see.(categories, menus etc.) – I just want the picture to show up. Where is the code to change that??
There is no code to change that. The email link directs the user to your eCards post/page, so it will display your site’s structure.
Hi there, i uploaded some images but they are not presented in a horizontal row. Thumbnail size is set to 0×0 (Wordpress defined). Can you tell me how to fix this?

If you create post categories and create posts for your eCards, then you can easily create filters or menus and submenus.

No, you should create categories, then posts, and each post should have its own [ecard] shortcode.

Before I contact the author, shouldn’t our selector simply be either- a. ecard
- b. .ecard a .attachment-thumbnail
- c. attachment-thumbnail

Hi, I don’t use anything as a selector, the plugin should do the job. I have switched to jQuery Colorbox in the meantime, which seems a bit more robust. It automatically enables lightbox for all images.
However, your point is pertinent, and I will add .ecard as a class selector.
Yeah, I went with responsive because, well, everything needs to be responsive these days and the jQuery Colorbox plugin hadn’t been updated in 2 years. I’ll switch to that instead though. Much thanks!

Hi, i need to buy this plugin. but i need to clear few things:
1. Is there any option to allow users to send e-card to any specific date or time, i mean can they set the time or date? 2.Can i display any picture i want in the galleries.

You can’t have decimal amounts, but I can add the option in the next version.
Have you correctly filled in your email address? Were you returned to a 404 page?
I have setup the email address for PayPal. It transfers to PayPal, I make the payment, then it returns me to a page under /ecards/?id=1411764268. This page has a header, footers, etc, but no content (blank). The process works without PayPal processing, so I was wondering if there was any other config other then email address.

Are you using the eCards shortcode on your homepage? Are you using default Permalinks?
The shortcode is actually on an interior page called ecards, so it’s not on the home page. I’m using “Post Name” as the permalink setting.
Try to deactivate all plugins and see if it works. Try to switch to default theme and see if it works. There must be a conflict somewhere.

There is PayPal sandbox, but I’ve never used it. It’s built for this purpose precisely.
Thanks,something tells me the plugin needs logic for the sandbox api to work. I couldn’t get the test account to work (I can on my WooCommerce site). It doesn’t recognize the test email address. Does that sound correct?

The plugin is now live. You should have got a notification via your email. Also, make sure you enable the sandbox on the Payments and Restrictions page.
Excellent, Sandbox working… So I select a card, click the PayPal button, Make the Paypal payment. When I click “Return to Test Store” I get a page with the [eCard] on the page, but that’s it. Can I send you images via email for you to take a look? Thank you for your help!!!

I’m currently having an issue where I can upload and use the images in the email, but the preview of the images on the ecard page is always full size. I’ve gone into the settings and set the size image to to thumbnail, but that changes nothing.
Is there a step I missed?

Why aren’t they selectable? It must be a CSS issue or you did not add them as required. You don’t need to use a previous version.

Hi. Either use thumbnail OR 150×150, not both. If you use thumbnail, just set it at 0×0. What error do you get?

Are you using the latest version? 2.4.7? Maybe you should deactivate the /wp-recaptcha/ plugin, as the comments could use the eCards version, which is the latest.

Sorry about that, I don’t how that plugin works.
The best practice is to use require_once() for inclusion of reCAPTCHA libraries. From what I see, your reCAPTCHA plugin has last been updated in 2013-12-10 and the author is asking for support. So, you should either update it yourself or find another plugin.
Ok, I was able to get the images show up as selections on the page, but each image is full size. Looking at support notes, it appears you had to fix these via logging into the WP admin. Is that correct, or can you let me know what I can do on my end.

We can’t expect a user to purchase something without seeing it first, so the current payment flow is a bit of a problem.

I got a question, I would like my users to be able to select an ecard and fill up the forms before letting them pay via paypal and be able to send an email. Currently the plugin, you should pay first before the user can choose an ecard.

You need to pay first.
If you want to set it up your way, you could find a gateway plugin and set up a payment page and show all images with links to the respective eCard pages. A bit complicated, I’d say.
Hi, There is a problem with french characters (in messages) like éàèùê etc… they are displayed like this: déçue or like this même or Héééé
Try other email clients, try Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook Express, Mail, Thunderbird. See which one is generating these characters.

There’s your answer, then. Maybe Thunderbird is outdated or it’s missing certain foreign character sets.

I’m currently having an issue with the thumbnail images. Is there a way to resize the images(specifically the thumbnails)? They’re not staying on the same row and are beyond huge.

Did you select the thumbnail size from the plugin’s options? If you did that, DO NOT set a custom size, as it will override your previous one.
Having Trouble Uploading Images I see that you have to upload images directly into the page. Please explain how to do that and do the images have to be hosted online in order to upload into the page. Also, I do not want users to upload their own images. I want them to only use mine.
You need to upload images to your eCards page. Just use the Browse button or drag images into your Add Media section.
If you don’t users to upload their own images, just deactivate the option from the settings.
