Already using this plugin on the home page – and it works great.
Created a second one based on a category selection to use in the default side column, but something strange happens. If I upload the featured image, but do not enter a title, it will load in the side column.
If I upload the featured image, and enter a title, it will not show the entry and the entry moves to my posts (it does not stay in the showcase section). I have not upgraded to Wordpress 4.0.

You do not have the purchase badge for this plugin. Maybe you have purchased a different one? If a plugin is triggering an error it wouldn’t be safe to activate it, even via database, it’s better to investigate the error. But are you sure it was this plugin?

Awesome plugin! I have it installed on a page where the Grid option does not work with our theme. It works with the default WP Twenty Thirteen theme, but the grid disappears when going back to our theme (Enfold)
NOTE: The carasouel feature is working, as you can see in the bottom half of the page.

Could be that max-width / width:none rule, but I’m not sure. It’s something related with percentage values, somewhere. Could you place a responsive grid shortcode in a page and send me the url so I can debug it? Just to try, you can also create a responsive grid shortcode, but without the links being active, to check if it might be those css I mentioned above.

I’ve had to fix up the live page above to make it work, by using a Horizontal Caroseul w/o scrolling. But we still want to use the grid, so I’ve made a copy of the ‘broken’ page and it’s shown here.

There is a huge padding-bottom being created at each logo in the .lshowcase-box-1 of 100%. It looks okay on the big square logo, but any of the more common rectangular ones, it’s pushing too much white space. I tried regular grid mode, but the logos are too wide for the sidebar and getting cut off.

Thanks Carlos. I understand – we’re trying to wipe out some offending CSS. I was playing with some of the padding on lshowcase-box earlier but didn’t work. The fixed 10px padding doesn’t either and everything is scrunched up.
http://www.scmediation.org/professional-development/fall-conference-2014/FWIW – I’m using the Enfold theme with little custom styling/variation from the original theme. It’s a pretty popular theme. Though I do have a good number of plugins and add-ons too that may be tweaking with the sidebar.
I see you might be using an older version of the plugin. On the most recent version the responsive grid css is a bit different. Can you download the latest version of the plugin and replace the files via FTP to see if it makes a difference also (maybe delete any custom css also)? Remember to empty the cache to make sure the new files are loaded. If it doesn’t make any difference, one solution could be to use the normal grid, but use the size override option, to make them fit the widget. Would this work for the widget? Just choose the regular grid but add the image size override info, to make the image smaller. Other users use the Enfold theme without any issue. The problem comes from display/positioning css. Hi there, we’re using this plugin on HostGator hosting and it seems to be causing the server CPU to spike.
It then causes WP admin “save” buttons to not work and also get server error 500 messages randomly.

Hi Noel. Thank you for using the plugin and I’m sorry you’re having this issue. It’s the first time someone reports this. Did you narrow it down to the Logos Showcase plugin? It will probably be a conflict with another plugin, some jQuery conflict probably. Does the cpu spike in all pages, or in the page only with the logos with a specific layout? The carousel layout, since it uses jQuery would be the one to look into. Does it happen when using other layouts? Do you have everything up to date? I’ve set this up for my client who has many partners to list, however they would like to change the order of the scroll to ‘preference’. I thought I could number them using the order field but there is no command in the shortcode editor for this. When I try to use the drag and drop function, I cant figure out haw to get a logo from page 2 onto page 1 ?
Is there a way to do this easily?

orderby='menu_order'This settings should grab the order field value. If it doesn’t, there’s probably something external interfering with the query.
The drag&drop feature also controls the order value, but it seems there’s an issue in the latest version, in case this is the version you have, which should be fixed in the next update (in case you need it now, you can send me a message via the contact form on my profile and I’ll send you the fixed version now). The latest versions of the plugin won’t paginate the logos in the administration, so it’s strange you’re getting the logos in different pages. Which version of the plugin do you have installed?
Other alternatives would be to use the order by date for example, which can be easily edited.

Hi. It’s the onclick code that is causing the layout to break. The onclick code is not added by my plugin and it also doesn’t seem to be in the source code you are using for the links, so it must be some other plugin adding it. Are you sure disabling Google Analytics plugin doesn’t solve the issue? Or at least disable the tracking links option? Do you have a cache system installed? Maybe you also need to empty the cache? The latest update didn’t change anything related to the tooltip, so it’s strange that it could be related to the update. Could you double check on the Google Analytics plugin/options? Hey again, i disable the Analytics Plugin again an empty the SuperCache, now it works fine. But what i can do. to activate it back and your plugin work too?
You should try and disable the option to track urls/clicks in the Analytics plugin. This should solve the issue.
When its disabled, it works. But it is not important to have activated this option?
Considering that it breaks your layout because of the code it adds to the links in the tooltip, you have to choose between have that option activated or have links in the tooltip.
But this option is not important for the generell tracking or?
Your visits will still be tracked (how many, where they come from, how long they stay in the site, etc..). That option is only to track click events. The main things are still tracked.

Hi! Thank you for using the plugin. I couldn’t replicate this issue, tried on different browsers with no luck. But I did see in some instances a delay on the carousel to star. I believe it’s because there are too many ‘transition animations’ on the page. Specially the background transitions, which are heavy and could affect the browser performance. You can try disabling the pause on hover option of the logo carousel, which will enable a slightly different transition, which could work better or not. The other test you could make would be to disable the background slider, which I believe is what causes the most performace issues, since it’s heavy. Hope the info helps. Greetings, Carlos

Hi Jean! It would be possible to easily change the source ‘custom post type’ that the plugin gets the information from, you could change it to yours, but that would mean that your logos wouldn’t work. In theory with some code changes you could make it work, but outside of the box the plugin is not capable of that. If you have some coding skills or work with someone who does I can try and point out where you could make the changes for this to work. Greetings, Carlos

This should make the background color dark gray, and I also added some extra padding and rounded corners. Check if it works better. You can change the color code to something else if needed.
2) With the carousel, each ‘slide’ will need to have the same width. So when the logos have different shapes, they still need to occupy the same width in each ‘slide’, so therefore some will look like they have more space. There isn’t a fix for this, I’m sorry. It’s the way the carousel works.
3) You can add the title to the PHP code also. Before the php function you can place html code for a title, like:<h2>Your Logos Title</h2>

Hi! The plugin should be compatible with v4 of WP, so it shouldn’t be that. One of the logo images seem to be missing, not sure it’s that, but double check this image. Hi! The description is stored in a custom meta field with the name ‘urldesc’. I don’t know a way to batch edit the descriptions unfortunately, but if you find a plugin that enables you to batch edit custom meta fields, you just have to edit the ‘urldesc’ meta field for the ‘lshowcase’ custom post type. Another way to do it would be directly in the database, searching for this custom meta field entries, but it’s more tricky and less safe approach. Hope the information helps. Greetings, Carlos

In smaller screens the carousel ‘viewport’ should get narrower, keeping the logos the same size and keeping the controls. Seems the controls in your case disappear. Hi there, Love your plugin. Made it so easier for me to upload our brands’ logos and connect them to their respective websites. I was using the normal grid layout, which looked great on the computer, 4 columns, very organised. But the result was messy on the mobile. So I switched to the Responsive one column grid, which is great for the mobile but looks too big on the computer. I’d like to know how to get the best of both to have a decent layout on the computer and the mobile? THX!
Hi! Using the 4 columns grid, in smaller screens it either breaks down to 2 columns or keeps the 2 columns depending on the screen size and orientation and the images resize down to fit the adjustment. If this is not happening smoothly, there could be other css from your theme affecting the behaviour of the images, for example, not letting them resize. The best would be to share a link to your page so I can check if there’s any external css affecting the logos grid. If you prefer you can send the url to me via the contact form on my profile. Hi Carlos, I’ve added the custom code. On my mobile, the images are distributed into 2 columns, but they’re not top aligned and the description text underneath each image has extra line height. Can I remove the description from the mobile version only? And Is it possible to have the images on the mobile version in one column? Thx!

But I made a stupid mistake somewhere trying to add the last code for the description, in the editor of the plugin, in logos-showcase/lshowcase.php. I pasted the code at the end, and the images disappeared from the mobile version. So I copy pasted the original code of logos-showcase/lshowcase.php from the download folder. Still not working!
I think I fucked it up. Help 
You can simply download the plugin again and replace all the files via FTP, then you’ll have the original files. You just need to place the css code in the custom css field, no need to edit the plugin files. Editing the styles.css would be the last measure.
Cant I just replace the Ishowcase.php in my ftp files?
You could replace all the files, just to make sure you have every file from the same version. But yes, you can also just replace that file. But double check also the code you have in the custom css field.
