Hi, I’ve got a question about configuring the order of the emailed contents. I need to set the order of sent email as follows: > Message (which would be nice IF it can be styled) > Sent by Name (Email address) > Image > Email body copy – set in Admin (which is nice that it can be styled)
Without the message and who it is from at the very top it can easily be perceived as spam that slipped through. My images will be about 500px tall or wide so it is very important for the message be first. Thanks for your great plugin at a great price!
Let me take a look, as I always had a problem with spam.
Done! Version 2.4.7 changes the order, as you suggested. The message cannot be styled, as email clients are rather limited when it comes to displaying CSS styles.

Thanks the update! This looks much better when received although the font may be a bit small. However, I noticed that the To: field is empty – that is, the recipients’s email address is not shown. Note: I am not allowing multiple email addresses currently. Can this be filled in the sent email? I also receive a copy to the admin email address. Is there an option to turn this off that I missed/overlooked? Last question for now, would it be possible to add some admin-defined (vs. pre-defined) text to the email, such as “This eCard was sent to you by” followed by the sender’s name and email address?
You’re welcome. I offloaded the mail parameters to third-party plugins, such as Mail From II (free). Use it to fill in your name and address. I don’t know why you receive a copy of the email, although I might have a clue and I’ll check today.
Last question, no, it’s not possible. I’m thinking of creating tags, so you can use them like this:
“This eCard was sent to you by [name] ([email])”

Try to set the size to thumbnail and remove any custom size from the boxes below (in your plugin’s settings). I see you fixed it, anyway.
I just purchased this – it is great! But I can’t get it to send mails.. I tested my server with SMTP plugin and the mail was delivered. Then I send via ecard and nothing happens. Please do I need to tweak the ecard plugin to use SMTP mail settings rather than the default mail function in wordpress?

I’m having an issue on some pages where the ecard form shows up but not the circles and thumbnails are missing . Nothing to select. We deleted pages and stated over , still no help. Any suggestions ?
Could be a poorly coded theme, sometimes it messes with CSS styles. Can you show me a link to your page?

1) With option 1 there is neither image nor link

2. The theme I am using is making the labels too far from the fields so I wanted to change the order.

Disregard the message above. Problem solved – it seems the error message relates to the plugin not being able to render a graph.
The error message disappears once an email is sent through the system, presumably because only then is the plugin is able to render a graph of emails sent.

Hi,
I bought the plugin in May last year and I have only now downloaded and updated to version 2.4.5. I deleted the old ecards folder and installed the new zip via plugins/add new.
But now I get en error message in ecards/Home. The message is shown in a red box and is “Data column(s) for axis #0 cannot be of type string”.
Do you have any idea what the problem is and how to fix it?

Solved, as marked above.
When i send the e-Card the receivers sees in his mailbox that the card comes from the name wordpress and not from the sender it self.. Is it possible to change that? because the subject is right only not the senders name..
Yes, I have added that in the plugin’s dashboard. Install the free plugin, Mail From II.
Also, the next release will include the option to allow for the sender’s name and email to appear.

I only see the [ecard] in the page.
Go to Add Media button in your eCard page and delete the image from there.

Thanks so much for this plugin. The main problem I am having right now is that eCards seem to be ending up in SPAM for a lot of people. I am using the recommended plugin to change the FROM address, but is there any way to change the TO address? Currently all eCards get sent to noreply@ and I think that might be triggering SPAM filters.

Just bought, have a few problems:
1) Where to translate ‘This is a required field’ message that pops up if you submit form without filling.
2) The email subject comes out all weird like: ??Q?Birisi_size_eKart_g=C3=B6nderdi!?=? (Im using a few Turkish characters in there)
3) Can we not put the person’s name in the email subject??
4) Which plugin would you recommend to change the FROM and TO email addresses being used when the card is sent?

1. This is an HTML5 browser-specific message and, as far as I know, is not translatable. It depends on the language of the browser.
2. I have no idea why, could you send a link to your site so I can send an eCard to myself?
3. No, you cannot.
4. Check the plugin’s Home section. Everything you need is there. The recommended plugin is Mail From II (free).

I got the reply, yes, I still think it might be a server encoding issue. I have tried adding foreign characters to my dev site and it works. Try to contact your host and have them test your form.
I am on a VPS, I can’t just tell my host to do stuff. Do you have an article or guide or anything to show how to resolve it?
No, servers and hosting are not my area of expertise.
The error I got was not related to servers/hosting. I’m not getting this problem for other emails I send through Wordpress on the site nor anywhere. The error was:

The error comes from a WordPress core file, and there doesn’t seem to be any encoding for it, so I suppose it might be PHP related, or PHP configuration. I’m really not good with servers.

Not unless you kept the old versions. Do you still have them? The newer versions always overwrite the older ones.
