Hi, just checked and it works perfect for us. 1) Visit Settings->Visual Composer and make sure that it’s selected for your user role. 2) It may be possible that your theme author is using our inner API to disable some built in content elements.

But my services shortcode have a seperate .css file and .js file. I want to load when users use services shortcode on their pages. otherwise these css and js file not to load.
I have used wp_enqueue_style but it loads on footer, i want to load this on header. I know about codex $deps but it’s also not working with your custom shortcode API.

$deps have nothing to do with css or js. deps is used to control dependencies between your params. Eg. reveal param b only if param a is not empty.
To load your css/js files you should use native WP mechanisms to load js/css. More about that in the official WP codex page.

My question is about when my users used a services shortcode then that separate css and js to loads on that page otherwise it not to load.
How to use this in your visual composer?
You as a shortcode developer can and should control that within your code. There aren’t any special steps that are required by Visual Composer.

Because at the moment when function will be called, WP will finish header rendering and it can’t “go back”.
In the last time, I’ve got the issue that the visual editor color font is white – so white on white is not visible – I already tried to change it by css, without success, but I am quite sure you already have a solution for that.

Hello, VC team, first of all – great job!!! Great plugin
We are integrating VC with out theme and got some developing questions:
1. fot vc_map function attribute “js_view”, where we can find list of views to add to our custom shortcodes, we added “VcButtonView” but it is not showing as button.
2. for “icon” attribute of vc_map we added
'icon' => IMAGES.'/shortcodes/button.png',
but it is showing default vc icon, where can we find the right way to call icon

Hello everyone, I’ll be the millionth person who tells you: great plugin … congratulations!
I am a developer, and the “professional deformation” leads me to give suggestions on things that I’ve tried so far, and that may have even more options complete.
For example, in Frontend – Column Settings – Design Options, it would be useful to put a check box (with an appropriate label), to enable the css selector “box-sizing: border-box” to avoid display problems when you enter values for the margin, border, padding, who are bringing the column out of its container.

Hi Fabio, we actually you sue border-box, so I assume this setting is overridden from your theme. Changing padding/border values should not break anything, try with default theme.
When using this plugin + Mukam theme, my front-end keeps loading. Only Mukam just works and the default themes also.
When I disable this plugin, the front-end is working again. I have tried a lot to fix it. Running news Visual Composer + Wordpress + Mukam theme.

white screen in WP usually means that you are out of server php memory, try increasing it.
Thanks for your reply. I found in my error log a lot of open base dir errors. In the database there are also relative paths… That wasn’t changed with the migration…

I’m not sure I follow you. Visual Composer doesn’t have any migration mechanism, so I’m not sure I understand what you are doing.
I am having problems increasing font size using the text editor. I have tried installing wp edit but its not working with the VC plugin. I have also tried switching over from visual to text and tried html and inline css but it disappears as soon as I click back on the visual tab.
I really do love the VC plugin and the several extensions I bought for it but am really disappointed there I cant do something as simple as changing the font size in a text block.
We rely on WordPress and out of the box it doesn’t have options to control text size. Usually this things are controlled within your active theme. Themes can add new properties to the default WYSIWYG editor.

In WordPress you can set any page to be your home page, so you can create a regular page, use Visual Composer to design content for that page and then in Settings->Reading select your newly created page to be a background.

Also do you have any place to suggest a new feature for VC.
I find myself having to go in and out of WP to get images, use a photo editor, name the image right for SEO, go back into WP, etc… This takes a ton of time for every page built and probably the bulk of lost time.
I think something that would sell very good and in great need is a free photo source finder and editor. Something that would allow you do size and optimize the image for good size for web load time and add some text to the image. Something similar to http://pixlr.com/editor/ Photo Tool
Then be able to grab photos from places like this built into WordPress http://www.morguefile.com/archive Use the Free Photo Tab http://search.creativecommons.orgJust a suggestion

Well you guys are doing a great job here is some recommendations if you decide to make this a project in future. Here is a list of image providers http://www.wpexplorer.com/wordpress-image-resources/ There are also some plugins I have tested since I wrote this in WP plugin directory that does some attempts at doing this but not completely as needed. Some do not handle the url as well an not use the better photo tool I mentioned accept one that is tied to paid photos. also some make a long ugly file name bad for seo.
I really like what I see with Visual Editor and looking at using it for a site I am building http://LifeCoachPDC.com. But I have a question. I use a very popular newsletter plugin called Mail Poet. http://www.mailpoet.com
It allows you to easy drag and drop blog posts and other parts of your site likes pages etc making it easy create a content rich newsletter quickly that looks great when they receive them including links back to the site for a given post.
So I am wondering if one builds a page with Visual Editor or one of the addons here in the market will a newsletter plugin like I am describing work?
I am also wondering how well this will effect Onpage SEO?

I have also now looked at some of the demos. Where is H1 and H2 ect Also I am not seeing a way to get text to align around an image.

Newsletters should be built using old techniques for layout “tables”. Visual Composer and other modern solutions are using divs, divs will not work for email newsletter, but real question is how mailpoet handles that. If it has some logic it may be able to parse and take out your content. Sorry for not giving you a yes/no answer. It depends…
To align text around the text, you should place regular text block and insert image with proper floating in it.
Thanks for the response. I guess problem I has with the demo is getting the text to be closer to the image. Played with it a long time still not able to figure that out. Distance is so far away it looks out of place.
Would you mind answering my questions about Where is H1 and H2 and SEO?
Also, once a person switches to use this plugin does it create any problems for other plugins that may need to use especially those that may add a feature to the editor.

According to WP theme guidelines, themes should have css styles for floating (aligned images) so that gap between text and image is actually comes from the theme. For your taste, our theme have that gap to big
When you insert Text block, it has default WP WYSIWYG editor where you can select part of your text and make it h1, h2, ..., h6, paragraph and other standard options.
Guess I did not see the h1, h2, ..., h6, paragraph settings there. I also have clients I am going to recommend this plugin to.

Can we get CSS support for vh vw vmin vmax for the custom design options?
I’ve recently discovered that using vw is a superior way to design proportional elements in a page without the use for javascript. Its extremely handy for adding a top/bottom padding to a row based on the width of the view port.
also, are there any plans to get rid of the png icons in the buttons and CTA’s and have an option to insert a custom content:’’ for font glyphs? There is way to many http requests coming into domains for unused png’s and gifs. It should be a standard practice for all developers to stop using png/gif icons and leave options for font glyphs. there are several popular libraries, but it would also be easy to paste in the CSS content:’’ glyph in a field.

We have big plans on updating current element list and of course all modern practices will be used.
Very cool. Yeah vh, vw, vmin & vmax is kinda awesome. New to me as well, but Modernizr.js supports it for browser polly fills. I finally chucked fittext.js and it works much better, and does awesome for sizing font-glyphs for pseudo elements. But ultimately, there really is no other way to size vertical spacing in elements with CSS based on screen widths without javascript, so it seems to be working very well for better responsiveness.

Hello, i have a query before buying this… one of my friend was using this before switching to another plugin and said that the biggest limitation of this plugin is that it doesnt show more than 2 tabs when using the tour or tabs section …. he added many tabs in backend but only the first 2 tabs show up…. is there a fix to this or requires customization???

Hi, Visual Composer generates [shortcodes] for you and to parse them (convert shortcodes to the content) plugin should be active. So You can’t disable it, it should be active.

I use Visual Composer on 3 différents WP templates. So, text editor does’nt work anymore.
Help says that i have to uninstall Visual Composer and reinstall it using theme’s plugins installer. So, it’s impossible to disable Visual Editor in WP admin page.
When i’m trying to disable, it’s appear “Enabled” and i can’t remove it. If i remove file from server i have a wihte page. If i disable it in database, when i refresh web site pluggins is come back.
What can i do to unistall Visual Composer ? Thx

Please contact your theme provider, obviously they somehow embed our plugin without an option to disable it. We suggest to include VC in themes according to ThemeForest guidelines with TGM activation class.
