Make sure that plugin is active. There’s no any logic behind adding settings page, we always add settings page if visual composer is active. But since we are adding it through the native WP methods any third party plugin or theme can remove it… Try switching to the default theme and see if it makes any difference.
Okay, it seems that the wp version was not comaptible.. i upgraded and its okay now.
My problem now is the default CSS is not working.. let me get it right? do i have to build my CSS around this plugin, or there is a preset one? like for example, building columns and rows.. Right now my text only elements show top to bottom even though i have set it as 3 columns of text. Please clarify.. thanks!
No you shouldn’t add any css, there is one by default. But according to your story it looks like it isn’t loaded. Please make sure that your theme has: wp_head();, body_class(); and wp_footer(); function calls in it. This is required by WordPress theme developing guidelines and we rely on that. Fresh web site. Fresh install of Word Press 3.9.1. Error on installing.
Installing Theme from uploaded file: js_composer.zip Unpacking the package… Installing the theme… The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet. Theme install failed.
Please help.
First make sure to upload plugin through Plugins->Add new->Upload (plugin isn’t a theme).
And make sure to unzip original file that you’ve downloaded. Inside of it you’ll find documentation and plugin .zip file (that should be uploaded to your site).

Hi! So I love using your Page Builder. It’s intuitive and works wonders (in the Salient theme)
I’d like to purchase it and use it in the BORDER theme by PixelGrade but they use things such as AJAX loading and it has caused issues with other plugins. Do you know if Page Builder will work within this theme or not? (their theme is found here: http://themeforest.net/item/border-a-delightful-photography-wordpress-theme/6920241 )

Hi, I’m afraid but because of the ajax requests page builder will not work properly. This is because theme will load only content, but Visual Composer (and other third party plugins) relies on the wp_footer(); and wp_head(); function calls.
I am looking at buying your plugin and I have a few questions.
The theme I use is Codeus. It has a shortcode importer when I can import elements not normally included in Wordpress into the Visual Editor. I have tried other page builder plugins and so far they have not allowed me to import shortcode into the page builder rows.
1) Will your plugin allow me to import shortcode into it?
Eg. [quickfinder quickfinderset=”Top 3”]
2) Can I animate text and images with your plugin?
3) Does it include parallax backgrounds?

Hi, no there’s no such an option. I know this is possible with CSS but it doesn’t work good in all browsers and this is why we are not adding this by default. But you can achieve that with extra CSS class name, enter this: my_three_columns
then in settings->Visual Composer->Custom CSS add this:
.my_three_columns { -moz-column-count: 3; -moz-column-gap: 20px; -webkit-column-count: 3; -webkit-column-gap: 20px;}

Why do I keep seeing “convert to new version” even after i’ve done it 1000 times ?
There was a problem with 4.0 and wp 3.9. you should not receive that with latest VC and WP version. Just make sure to restore latest working revision if you saved (updated) your page after “converting to new version”
I can’t get the front-end editor to work even though your plugin came packaged with my theme. You update so often I just went ahead and bought my own license, but I can’t get the front-end editor to work, it just overlays the page and keeps refreshing your logo. Please advise.

Hi i installed the plugins and when i activate it it give me warning in backend : ” Warning: Attempt to modify property of non-object in /home/....../public_html/wp-content/themes/powermag/functions.php on line 275”
and in frontend the website disapeared with error message: “Fatal error: Unknown: Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in Unknown on line 0”
so when i deactivate it everything become normal.

As I see from your error message, error comes from your theme. You should try reaching your theme author. Because error is generated from a third party code.

we already opened a ticket about the following issue : vc_map admin_enqueue_js and admin_enqueue_css not working on frontend editor. This is a serious bug since self programmed boxes are not working as intended. It would be great to see a fix for this soon. The canned response inside the ticket system does not help, because just knowing that you know something is wrong doesn’t help. An eta for the fix would be great. Since the ticket has been closed. We are leaving a message here. Looking forward to hearing from you. In meantime glws

Hi guys, actually admin_enque_* is meant to be loaded in the admin part only… I will talk about that with the dev, may be it’s a good idea to add same param to load js/css in the frontend editor too.
