1. Multi-Tenancy Currently, the system is not multi-tenant out of the box. However, it is built on a flexible architecture, and we can customise it to support multi-tenancy (e.g., tenant-wise data isolation, separate access control, SaaS model).
2. API / Webhooks The system provides a .NET-based Web API for integrations.
Webhooks are not available by default, but they can be added as part of customisation if required.
3. Custom Workflows (Approval / Signing) Yes, the system supports workflow-based processes, especially for:
Audit cycles
CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions)
Approval flows
Custom workflows (including document approval/signature processes) can be configured or extended based on your requirements.
4. Document Versioning Yes, the system supports document version control, allowing you to:
Track revisions
Maintain version history
Access previous versions
5. Audit Log Yes, the system includes an audit trail, which tracks:
User actions
Changes made to records
Workflow activities
6. File Activity Tracking Yes, you can track:
Who accessed/downloaded files
Who modified or updated documents

I would like to suggest an improvement to the document signature feature in the Laravel version of the script.
Currently, the signature functionality works, but it would be extremely valuable to have the ability to place and apply signatures directly within the body of the document in a more dynamic and visual way — similar to how it is implemented in your .NET version (with drag-and-drop positioning and precise placement inside the document).
This feature would greatly enhance usability, especially for workflows that require signing specific sections, fields, or exact positions within a document.
Could you please let me know if there are any plans to implement this functionality in future updates?

However, OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is not currently available. This means the system cannot extract or read text from images or scanned PDF documents.

When I create an Assigned Documents task and add a reminder for the recipients (either email clients or our internal team), the initial “Send Mail” option works correctly.
However, the scheduled reminder email notifications are not being sent as expected.

On the Assign Document page, clients can view only the documents they have uploaded or those that have been shared with them.
You can manage user permissions either through roles or individual user permissions to control which pages are visible to users.
I create a new user role. Which I put as client. The issue is that he is seeing all documents. And Reset of the client password is not working.

So, I tested the SMTP from google and its working fine. However, when I test the SMTP from Siteground Emails, it does not work.
While configuring SMTP, if you receive a confirmation email indicating successful configuration, then your SMTP setup is working correctly. You will then need to set up the CRON job to receive emails. Please refer to our documentation for the same.
If you do not receive any email during SMTP configuration, it means you need to review and correct your SMTP settings.

Please note that most users host this script on shared hosting; however, OCR functionality requires a dedicated server or VPS since the Tesseract library must be installed on the server.

Notifications, validation workflows, fine-grained role and access management, legal export/archiving, and format migration. You must verify that the script supports all these aspects or is easily customizable to add them.
Security/Compliance: Does it support requirements such as data encryption, full logs, audit logs, least privilege rights, AD/LDAP or SSO integration, and legal retention periods? If not, these will need to be added or adapted.
Archiving over time & migrations: Your requirement mentioned legal archiving (duration, longevity), permanent formats (PDF/A), and automatic destruction after X years. The script may not offer all of these out of the box.
Integration into your existing system: You already have an architecture (for example, with document sharing, different services, roles) — the script must be able to integrate (API, customization).
Scalability & maintenance: As your company grows, document volumes increase, and search, performance, and backup/distribution needs become critical. The script must be robust and efficient.

The above features are already included in another script: User Document Management Starter Framework for Enterprise-Level Solutions in Angular & .NET Core . This script was purchased by a customer who wants to host it on shared hosting, where some features require a VPS or dedicated server. Therefore, we are not going to include the OCR feature in the script in the future as well.
