You don’t have to do anything. As explained earlier, the update was specifically for new installations only since it was related to TMail Installer, which is not required if the TMail is already installed.
I’m not sure why are you looking for that solution which is not connected to existing already installed TMails?
hallo, in Debian 13 is php-imap not included. It is generally no longer recommended to use php-imap (because the last update was in 2018!). What usage options will be available in the future? New installations are currently not possible due to the lack of IMAP support.

I find this update extremely frustrating and frankly unacceptable. A paid script should never introduce such a large number of fundamental errors that immediately break live websites. After installing the update, the system produced multiple 500 errors due to missing columns, incomplete migrations, and broken queries — issues that clearly should have been caught long before release.
What makes this even worse is that the support team is now asking customers for full server or control panel access just to investigate the problem. That is an unreasonable requirement for an issue caused directly by the update itself. A stable, properly tested product should not require deep server-level intervention just to function after a routine update.
It’s also obvious from the recent comments that many users are experiencing the same critical issues. Updating this script has always felt risky, but after this release it seems wiser to wait several months — perhaps even the full six months — until all installation and update problems are hopefully resolved.
Releasing an update that breaks core functionality for so many users is simply unacceptable, and I strongly expect an urgent fix, proper testing, and a reliable migration path before this version can be considered production-ready.

Please also note that v8 of TMail is a major update, and due to the scale of changes, certain adjustments on the server or control panel may be required to ensure everything functions smoothly.

It was ‘Shell_exec’, now i enabled it, and now the upgrade is done, but i can’t access frontend anymore. It shows a 404 error, but the backeend works fine. I had to reverse the update, and roll back to my backup
Also, my server, met all the requirements needed as well.

Updates by nature will replace all modified files, that is how generally any PHP related softwares are configured to do so. This is the standard behaviour for general scripts on CodeCanyon.
To prevent this in the future, customizations and SEO settings should be applied in an update-safe manner (outside core files). Direct edits inside the script will always be replaced when updating.

User profile photo upload is very unnecessary & risky. Why risky? Because I will use Google Adsense ads. If any user uploads any adult image then my Google Adsense account will have problem.
I think profile photo upload is unnecessary. If you think it is necessary then you can give 2 options. For example:
1. Admin permission that user can upload photo or not. 2. By default there will be male & female profile icon user can select any one.

I see. Please setup the CRON job as that will be required to check for Backups periodically. However, after you update to the latest version, you will get a button to manually check for update which you can use in future.
