When will the framework be updated to CodeIgniter 4?
No, we don’t have any plan to update Smart School to CI4 because there is no direct upgrade path from CI3 to CI4. There is also no bridge or compatibility layer between CI3 and CI4, and the architecture of CI4 is completely different, which means migrating would require rebuilding the entire Smart School system from scratch.
Smart School will continue on CodeIgniter 3, but we are continuously updating it to support newer PHP versions like PHP 8.x, and soon we will update it for PHP 8.2 or 8.3 as well. So you don’t need to worry even though it is based on CodeIgniter 3.

No, the Teacher/Admin app will not be released in the upcoming update. The next update is expected to include the Flutter-based Student & Parent app (Android + iOS) to support both platforms with a single code base.
Admin app (for teachers, admin, and staff) is currently under development and we will try to include it in the next upcoming version update of Smart School.
Currently the Smart School Android App is available for the student/parent panel. For staff like teachers, admin, accountants, etc., we are developing a separate Android app for the admin login panel, which is currently under development and will take time to release. However, if you want it currently so staff will log in through the app, then you can customise your Smart School Android App for admin webview so admin/staff will also log in through the app, but in the back it will run the web. In version 7.1 have some error please resolve it. 1: when we set fees reminder befor 2 days then fees reminder msg continued sending repeated and not stop after send msg. 2: No any option send sms for over all previous month deu fees to parents. 3: no any option for send staff login details via sms.

1) Don’t you think it’s time to improve the front-end design? It doesn’t look like your competitors’. It feels like we’re back in the colonial era.
2) On the mobile app, I noticed that when you open the app, it shows the school’s link on the home screen. So, is it possible to replace this link with the cities for a multi-school system? For example, instead of: https://New-York.com/school-1, we simply put New York, New Jersey, California, and so on. We choose the city where the school is located without knowing the school’s connection for added security.

You can upload study materials via Download Center > Upload / Share Content and share with a specific class. Currently, restricting to a particular section is not available.
All the features in your script are superb but when are you going to release the SaaS version. It’s over two years now that I have been asking
Please note that our Smart School SaaS version is a true SaaS based system, where each tenant instance has its own separate database and files (instead of like other most of saas scripts available on codecanyon which uses single database for whole system) . This ensures that any issue in one tenant instance will not affect other instances or the overall service. As it is a complex system, development has taken time, but most of the work is now complete, and the SaaS version is expected to release with the upcoming Smart School update in 2–3 months.

Please note that the accounting feature will not be available in the upcoming update of Smart School, but it will probably be available with the next update of Smart School.
Accounting is mandatory not optional because school is not a charity organization. Please take this as priority
We understand that accounting is a crucial requirement for schools, and many users have requested this feature over the years. The accounting module is a complex system involving multiple functionalities like fees management, ledgers, invoices, and financial reporting, which makes it time-consuming to develop and integrate.
We want to clarify that accounting will not be part of the next immediate update of Smart School. However, we are actively working on this module, and it will be released as a separate addon in the next upcoming update after that. Our goal is to ensure it is fully functional, reliable, and meets the needs of all schools.

In Smart School, once a fee has been collected, unassigning or removing it by unchecking the Fees Details will permanently delete the previously collected data. There is no option to undo or restore it. To avoid data loss, please refrain from editing or unchecking Fees Details after collections have started. If changes are necessary, create a new Fees Master/Group instead. We also strongly recommend taking a full backup before making any changes or deletions in Smart School.

It seems you are using an older version of Smart School. In the latest version 7.1.0, we have added the option to enable/disable Show Fees Discount in Student/Guardian Panel. You can enable this option by going to: System Settings > General Settings > Fees > Student / Guardian Panel Fees Discount , please check this https://i.ibb.co/GftcCCzh/show-disount-enable.png screenshot for more details. So please update your Smart School to the latest version first, hopefully after this your issue will be resolved.

You can assign fees to all students at once by going to Fees Collection > Fees Master.Here, click on Assign/View Fees, then click on the Search button.
