Hello,

Is this plugin good for a restaurant? Such as text and email reminders, the number of people being booked, waiting list, time, and date options.

Hi there.

Thank you for your message.

The only option to use the Bookly for restaurants is to set the available tables as staff members.

The group booking add-on provides the option to create services with a bigger capacity, which means that more customers can book the same time slot, but only for the same service. Here you can find the demo: https://www.booking-wp-plugin.com/demo/group-booking/

You can check the Bookly Waiting List Add-on: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002875053-Waiting-List-Add-on to accept clients to a waiting list on fully booked days. And when a time slot opens, a notification is sent to the service provider with the list of customers on the waiting list. If the relevant link next to the client’s name is clicked by the service provider, the customer’s status will be changed from “on waiting list” to “approved”. You can check the demo here: https://booking-wp-plugin.com/demo/waiting-list/.

There are several types of triggered and scheduled notifications you can set up via Bookly to keep clients and staff in the loop of appointment status updates and remind them of upcoming events. Please have a look at these articles for more information and instructions. We recommend you try the sandbox on a live website to get a better understanding of how Bookly Pro and its add-ons work together. You can access the sandbox mode by going to this link:  https://www.booking-wp-plugin.com/create-your-free-sandbox/, entering your email address, clicking on the “Configure” button, and following the steps you’ll receive in your email.

A few questions

1. Is it possible to add customer street to the “event title” for Google calendar? or add it to the address field in Google?

The reason is that it makes it easier for our service providers to navigate to our clients.

2. Is it possible to add a link/url to the booking to the information in Google calendar?

As its easier for our service provider to get additional information regarding the booking.

Kind regards Andreas

Hi Andreas.

1. In the Bookly Settings > Customers > Customer’s address fields, you can include the street address field and in the Bookly Settings > Google Calendar, insert the client address code in the Template for event description field. 2. You can just add the information you want to show in the Google Calendar by typing the code in Bookly Settings > Google Calendar > Template for event description.

If I am off base, you require further assistance or have additional questions/clarifications about this, please create a support ticket using the link below so the Support Team can look into this matter for you.

Hello,

I’m building a service directory. Is there a way to allow each service provider to have this feature on their individual profile page?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out.

When a customer books an appointment with Bookly, they automatically become a Bookly Customer. If you have the ‘Create WordPress user account for customers’ option enabled in the “Bookly > Settings > Customers” section, Bookly will also create WordPress user accounts for these new customers. The role you select in the “Bookly > Settings > Customers > New user account role” section will be assigned to these newly created WordPress user accounts. If the customer is already logged in, the new customer will be associated with their existing user account.

With online client booking access: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/212455529-Online-Access-to-Bookings-for-Clients, your customers can conveniently view their past and upcoming bookings directly on your website. They also have the option to cancel appointments if needed.

If you’re looking for even more customer management features, consider the Bookly Customer Cabinet Add-on https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005099314-Customer-Cabinet-Add-on. This add-on allows customers to access, manage, and delete their details and appointment history in a user account. They can view their appointments, including date, time, employee, status, price, and more. Plus, they have the ability to reschedule or cancel bookings. This not only enhances customer convenience but also ensures compliance with GDPR requirements as customers can control their personal information and delete their profiles.

I just wanted to clarify how Bookly works with scheduling. It’s all set up on a weekly basis, so when you create schedules for your staff members, those schedules remain consistent week after week. The time slots available in the booking form are based on these schedules, and how the hours are divided and displayed in the form depends on the time slot length you’ve chosen.

Each staff member has their own unique schedule. When a customer books a specific time slot for a service with a staff member, that staff member becomes unavailable for that time slot for any other services. For example, if Superstar is booked for Service Awesome on Tuesday at 10 am, she won’t be available for any other services at that time. Likewise, other customers won’t be able to book service Awesome at that specific time, unless another staff member is assigned to provide that service.

The add-ons https://www.booking-wp-plugin.com/add-ons/, such as Bookly Customer Cabinet Add-on, are designed to provide extra flexibility and features to Bookly Pro. To use these add-ons, you’ll need to have Bookly Pro installed and activated, as they complement the main Bookly Pro plugin. When you install them, your booking form will look just like the demo.

Before making a purchase, we recommend checking out our demo: https://www.booking-wp-plugin.com/demo/customer-cabinet/

Or try the sandbox on a live website to get a better understanding of how Bookly Pro and its add-ons work together. Hi,

Q1) I have doctors digital marketing agency . We would like to build appointment solutions and patient follow up or reminder sms send platform in wordpress. And I am giving services only in Bangladesh. Using bookly is it possible to provide services ?

Q2) My doctors has their personal website. How can I integrate appointment soultions with their website ?

Hi there.

Thanks for reaching out.

You can set up the doctors as staff members and set their working hours.

There are several types of triggered and scheduled notifications you can set up via Bookly to keep clients and staff in the loop of appointment status updates and remind them of upcoming events. Please have a look at these articles for more information and instructions. Notifications Overview: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/212411249-Notifications-Overview Set Up Emails: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/212997905-Set-Up-Emails  Customize Notifications: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/212411309-Customize-Notifications  Email and SMS Notifications Video: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/360008526140-Email-and-SMS-Notifications  Set Up Text Messages (SMS): https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/212411289-Set-Up-Text-Messages-SMS-  Text Message (SMS) Rates: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/212997925-Text-Message-SMS-Rates  Voice Notifications: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/8594761417746-Voice-Notifications  WhatsApp Notifications: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/10053650125202-WhatsApp-Notifications  How to configure CRON to send scheduled Bookly reminders: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015017400-How-can-I-configure-CRON-to-send-the-Bookly-reminders-

And currently, you can translate the plugin into multiple languages by using tools like Poedit or Locotranslate, if you want to use the plugin in a different language.

However, if you want it for a multi-language website, or translate the entirety of your plugin as well as dynamic info, i.e.: service and category titles, scheduled notifications, and any custom fields, you will need the WPML plugin. Please find more information on how to use the WPML plugin following this link: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/203600092.

You can add booking form on unlimited number of pages of your website. But if you want to add Bookly Pro on several websites, you will need to use additional licenses.

Perhaps you will need to set up a WordPress Multisite environment that allows you to run and manage multiple WordPress sites or blogs from a single WordPress installation. But please note that in this case, you will need to use the Bookly Multisite Add-on as well: https://codecanyon.net/item/bookly-multisite-addon/13903524. It allows you to use the same copy of Bookly on multiple websites with each site of your network will have its own database that doesn’t interact in any way. Thus, each site has its own set of staff members, services, and settings that do not overlap. Payments go to each site in the network, not to the network admin. So you will need to provide a separate purchase code for the Bookly plugins for each new site you add in the future.

Hi, I am looking for a solution where an event in a calendar can be selected by several people, but it is the site administrator who ultimately chooses a single candidate.

Could you help ?

Hi there.

Thanks for your message.

You can use the Group Bookings (Add-on) to accommodate group bookings or multiple persons for the same service. Then, set the ‘Default appointment status’ to ‘Pending and make use of the notifications by adding the {approve_appointment_url} URL of approve appointment link to use inside the tag so the staff member can approve the appointment.

Hello! I’d like to add a feature for the backend: The ability to add more than 1 service for the same appointment using the “New appointment” modal on the backend. The idea is to achieve the same result than with the Bookly Chain Appointments (Add-on) but directly from the backend of the application, not only for the frontend. Thanks a lot!

Hello,

I provide custom duration services. Customer can choose 2h or 3h for the same service. Working schedule from 8AM to noon.

If user selects 3h, only starting time is 8AM (while I would expect 8AM, 8:30AM, and 9AM).

If user selects 2h, only starting time are 8AM and 10AM (while I would expect 8, 8:30, 9, 9:30 and 10AM).

I can’t figure out what’s wrong with my settings!?

Hi Do you have SAAS version scrpit

Hi there.

Thanks for your message.

Right now, there is no SaaS version. Please note that this is not a SaaS system, it’s a booking plugin that you install on a WordPress website.

Please check our demos https://www.booking-wp-plugin.com or try the sandbox on a live website before making the purchase to get a better understanding of how Bookly PRO and its add-ons work, and be able to discern if Bookly PRO and its add-ons fit your business needs.

To access the sandbox mode, please go to https://www.booking-wp-plugin.com/create-your-free-sandbox/ and add your email address and click on the “Configure” button then follow the rest of the steps that you’ll receive in your mail. I need a payment gateway that is not currently available, would it be possible to add it as a custom job?

Hi there.

Thanks for your message.

If your local services support WooCommerce, it should work with Bookly.

Please note that the purpose of the WooCommerce integration is to have access to other payment gateways that are not available in Bookly (but are supported by WooCommerce). If you enable this integration, WooCommerce will add the Bookly items to an already existing WooCommerce cart, which means that your customers will be re-directed away from your site to the WooCommerce cart after the details step. Payment features/options from Bookly will be disabled including the “Service paid locally” option, and they can purchase items from Bookly and WooCommerce in one session. So even if you use this integration, the booking process is maintained, and you’ll sell services from Bookly, not WooCommerce products.

To set this integration, you’ll need “fake” products and set any price for the “fake” products since the final/total price will be taken from Bookly services and other attributes from WooCommerce will be ignored. The  “fake” products will serve as the “bridge” between Bookly and WooCommerce which means you can assign a WooCommerce product for each service separately, hence, there will be multiple products in the WooCommerce cart at the time of checkout. We advise hiding the “fake” product from WooCommerce as you won’t be selling the “fake” products to avoid confusing customers. To hide the “fake” products, you need to find (in the right part) the catalog visibility option and set it to hide: https://i.imgur.com/wyIQROe.png.

For more details, please check out this article: https://bit.ly/3Jvdz5P.

I have a pre-purchase question: I am working with different other trainers for an academic online program. We want the possibility to create custom working schedules for one-on-one guidance per trainer individually.

In other words, each trainer will give their availability for the upcoming 2 months where their work hours differ by week. So one week they might be available from 8AM to 12PM on a Monday and the next Monday they are available from 4PM to 8PM.

Is this possible to achieve?

Hi there.

Thanks for your message.

You can set each trainer as staff members and configure the working schedules. To create different working hours each week, you would need the Bookly Special Days Add-on: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/212817929-Special-Days-Add-on. It allows you to set a custom schedule, including breaks that are different from the default working hours/days for individual staff members. And this shift on special days from the default weekly schedule will apply to all staff members’ services.

If you want your trainers to manage their own availability, you could use the Bookly Staff Cabinet Add-on: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003349989-Staff-Cabinet-Add-on. It will allow your staff members/employees to manage their schedule (including days off), bookings, calendars, personal details, services, and prices, create appointments, and export their calendar information into a CSV file without access to the WordPress admin panel. However, please note that the creation of services is, at this time, possible in the back end through admin only. And currently, it is impossible to forbid the staff to edit their appointments.

The add-ons https://www.booking-wp-plugin.com/add-ons/, such as Bookly Special Days Add-on and Bookly Staff Cabinet Add-on, are designed to provide extra flexibility and features to Bookly Pro. To use these add-ons, you’ll need to have Bookly Pro installed and activated, as they complement the main Bookly Pro plugin. When you install them, your booking form will look just like the demo.

Before making a purchase, we recommend checking out our demos: https://booking-wp-plugin.com/demo/special-days/  https://booking-wp-plugin.com/demo/staff-cabinet/

Hi, I’m interested in purchasing your plugin, but I have two questions before proceeding:

Is it possible for a customer to submit a service request without choosing a specific service provider, and instead have a notification (email/SMS) sent to all relevant providers? Then, the first one to accept the request would be automatically assigned to the job?

If a service provider cancels their appointment, is it possible to automatically re-trigger the same process — notifying other available and relevant providers — so that a new provider can be assigned to the customer?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there.

Thanks for your message.

I’m afraid such options aren’t possible yet. However, we’re constantly working on improvements and value all feedback. That’s why we’ve created a Feature Request forum: https://ideas.booking-wp-plugin.com/. The forum is where we track requests for new capabilities, and our product development depends directly on the number of votes each request receives. Perhaps you can enable the ‘Any staff’ option so customers don’t have to choose a provider. Then set the ‘Default appointment status’ to ‘Pending and make use of the notifications by adding the {approve_appointment_url} URL of approve appointment link to use inside the tag so the staff member can approve the appointment.

Hi,

I would like to purchase the Bookly Pro for online appointment booking for counselling, coaching and mentoring website and also for zoom meetings integration, and for clients to be able to make payment online at the same time of booking but it does not need the ‘Staff’ – Employee field for now as it is one therapist, can it be disabled? I would like to add field for Services, Program and Zoom Meeting?

Thanks

Hi there.

Thanks for your message.

This is possible by pre-defining and hiding fields when publishing the booking form. So you can choose which fields you’d like to keep or hide from the first or Service step in the booking form. You won’t be deleting all the info associated with it by hiding a field as it will only be hidden from the customer’s view. When “Categories of services, Services, and Employees” are hidden, it requires a default value chosen because each appointment must have each of those properties. For example, you pre-define the category as Awesomeness, and the service to Awesome Service, then hide these fields as well as all fields in the booking form. When you publish this booking form, it will go directly to the Time step of Awesome Service where the customer would only book timeslots offered for the said Awesome Service. For more details and instructions, please check this article: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/212800185-Publish-Booking-Form.

If I am off-base, you need additional help or have additional questions/clarifications about this, please email us at support@bookly.net so we can look into this matter for you.

Richel

I’ve seen when you try paying with Paypal but do not complete the payment process. Bookly take for grant you have already paid and send you a Thank you message, blocking the date in the calendar.

Summing up, client does not pay, but you get a date booked on your Bookly calendar.

Any way of solving the issue?

Regards,

Hello,

Thank you for your message.

The following behavior is expected and is functioning correctly. Here’s how it works:

• When a customer decides to pay for an appointment and proceeds to the payment system page, Bookly initially creates the appointment with a default status (this is based on the “Appointment” > “Default appointment status” setting) and sets the payment status to “Pending.”

• If the customer successfully completes the payment, they are redirected back to Bookly’s “Done” step, where they’ll see a confirmation view for a successful booking. At this point, Bookly updates the payment status to “Completed.”

• If the customer closes the payment window without completing the transaction, the appointment in Bookly won’t be deleted immediately. Instead, it waits for the duration specified in Payments > Payment system section > Time interval of payment gateway (if it is set up). Once this time has elapsed, Bookly changes both the appointment and the corresponding payment’s status to “Rejected”.

• If the customer chooses “Cancel” within the payment window, Bookly will instantly delete both the appointment and the associated payment.

If you activated the ‘Time interval of payment gateway’ and set it to 1 hour, then unpaid appointments will be rejected. This functionality requires a scheduled cron job: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015017400-How-can-I-configure-CRON-to-send-the-Bookly-reminders

Thanks!

Hello,

I’m setting up Bookly Pro for my business and I noticed the “Service Extras Add-on” is no longer available on CodeCanyon.

I’d really like to purchase it officially. Will it be available again soon? Or is there another way to get it directly from you?

Thank you!

Giuliana

Hi Giuliana.

Thanks for your message.

The Bookly Service Extras Add-on is available here: https://codecanyon.net/item/bookly-service-extras-addon/15552320?ref=ladela.

You can also purchase it directly from the website: https://www.booking-wp-plugin.com/add-ons/.

Hi, I would like to upload multiple products where I can set different prices for each time period. For example: from May 15 to June 16 €300, from June 17 to August 19 €350, and so on. Like in this screenshot: https://ibb.co/9kRqczgb

Is it possible to do it like this in the photo?

Hi there.

Thanks for your message.

I’m afraid that currently, there is no support for dynamic pricing for specific date ranges like in your screenshot (e.g., seasonal pricing).

Here’s a workaround for the situation: you can create dummy or placeholder staff members specifically for the said dates. These staff members will only be available during those particular times, and you can set different pricing for them to reflect the seasonal rates.

To allow you to set a custom schedule, you would need the Bookly Special Days Add-on: https://support.booking-wp-plugin.com/hc/en-us/articles/212817929-Special-Days-Add-on. It allows you to set a custom schedule, including breaks that are different from the default working hours/days for individual staff members. And this shift on special days from the default weekly schedule will apply to all staff members’ services.

If I am off-base, you need additional help or have additional questions/clarifications about this, please email us at support@bookly.net so we can look into this matter for you.

Many thanks,
Richel
