Request for Guidance on Enabling Sound in Version 6.6.0
Hi Dear sir,
First of all, thank you so much for continuously improving this app. I truly appreciate your work and the updates you provide.
I am facing a challenge with the new version (6.6.0). In the older version, the app used to include ExoPlayer with the option to control sound. Inside ActivityWallpaperDetail.java, there was a line like:
exoPlayer.setVolume(0f);
Earlier, I could simply modify this to exoPlayer.setVolume(0n) to enable sound for video wallpapers, and it worked perfectly.
However, in the new version (6.6.0), it seems that ExoPlayer handling has been changed or removed. Now I am unable to find how to enable sound again.
For my use case, this is very important because I am not only using the app as a wallpaper app but also as a status app (for both image status and video status). Many users prefer videos with sound, so I really need this feature to be enabled.
Could you kindly guide me on:
How to enable sound again in the latest version?
Or which part of the code I should modify to restore audio playback?
This feature is extremely valuable for my users, and it would mean a lot if you could help me implement it in version 6.6.0.

First, we should clarify that this is not a problem. You seem to have misunderstood. You should know that the main concept of this app is a wallpaper app, not a status saver or anything like that, so you need to understand that first!
Furthermore, to set a live wallpaper, there are only options to set it as device home screen, lock screen, or both. So, your statement regarding setting a live wallpaper as your WhatsApp status is certainly not possible because this app doesn’t have that feature. If you’re referring to “Share”, please note that the concept of sharing is to invite others to use the app. Although it is possible to share wallpaper images, the shared image is only the image or thumbnail.
If you download the live wallpaper first, yes, that’s a trick, because once the live wallpaper is downloaded, you can do whatever you want with it. We hope you understand the concept of this app.

Request to enable direct video sharing for status use
Hello dear sir,
First of all, thank you for your work on the app. I just want to clarify my use case. I am using this app not only as a wallpaper app but also as a status app.
In the older version, when I shared a live wallpaper, it used to go as a video file, and I could directly set it as my WhatsApp status. That was very useful for me.
However, in the new version, when I use the share option, it only shares the thumbnail image instead of the actual video. For my requirement, I really need the video to be shared directly (with MIME type video/*) so that it works as a WhatsApp/Instagram status.
I kindly request you to please guide me or enable this feature again in the code. Even if this is not the main concept of the app, this option is very important for me, since I use the app as a status app.

I also have a small request. Right now, the app is mainly a wallpaper app, but in India there is a huge demand for status apps (video/image status for WhatsApp, Instagram, etc.). Such apps are very popular and have excellent selling potential in the market.
If you could consider developing a dedicated status app or adding a proper status module in the existing one, it would be very helpful. I am confident it will get a great response and could be a big success.

There is an issue in the app. Whenever I try to set a live wallpaper as my status on WhatsApp or similar apps, the video doesn’t play. Hi, Most likely it’s a problem with Android Studio installed on your computer, first, make sure your Android Studio has been updated to the latest version Narwhal Feature Drop | 2025.1.2 Patch 1 or above, then, try doing File > Invalidate Caches… > Invalidate and Restart, it is recommended to configure the project from the beginning from the original project .zip file. If you are using Windows, make sure not to open the project from a restricted folder such as desktop, downloads, documents, file systems or the like, it is recommended to use another drive for example, D:\Android\ or others. Hi, This is a misconception. It is different from access via a browser. The interaction between Android and the server is via Rest API. Android makes an API request to the server, and the server responds. If the response is successful, the data will be displayed. If the response fails, an error page will appear. So, in this case, the problem remains on the server side. Thanks

From what I understand, you don’t have any plans to implement a bulk upload process for images, for example, CSV file. However, there is something I believe could be easily implemented and would be very helpful. When uploading the images, the Wallpaper Name would already be filled with the same name. Example:
Image: Blue Ocean.JPG
Wallpaper Name: Blue Ocean
I believe this small process would be a great time-saver when you have a lot of images. If we uploaded 20 at a time and all of them were named this way, it would be a huge help.
I hope you can consider whether something like this is worthwhile.

Hi, Maybe you don’t know, it already supports bulk upload of images up to 20 images at a time, use and hold Ctrl on your keyboard to select multiple images you want to upload. Thanks

My main suggestion was actually about having the ‘Wallpaper Name’ field automatically filled with the image file name upon upload. Pre-sale question, I installed the demo app but when applying live wallpaper on home screen ONLY it works but it RESETS the lock screen wallpaper to system default wallpaper, when are you going to fix it.

Hi, It can’t be fixed, all live wallpaper concepts are like that, when the live wallpaper set is canceled or only one (home or lock screen), then the one that is not applied will be reset to default, you can compare with other live wallpaper apps, it will be the same. Thanks
I have tested on Sphere : Live Wallpaper App available here on Codecanyon, it does work only problem it changes after 5 or 10 seconds, it does NOT reset the lock screen wallpaper to default, I’d prefer buying this 1 because a lot of the comments on Sphere buyers say in app purchase doesn’t work eg. ads still show etc.

This is the code to reset the wallpaper to the default system for live wallpaper:

So if this code is removed, then if the apply live wallpaper is canceled or only one is selected for the home / lock screen only, then it will not reset the previous wallpaper, this is the solution.

I have installed a new admin panel with new, clean code. However, audience ads are not working, and no Start.io ads are visible, including offline ads.
Hi, Maybe you are not focused, it should be noted that the default sdk used in this project is admob-ads-sdk in the dependencies build.gradle (Module: app) file, so by default it only uses admob ads, if you want to use audience network ads, change it to facebook-ads-sdk, if you want to use start.io ads, change it to startapp-ads-sdk, or if you want full support for 8 ads, use multi-ads-sdk, a more detailed explanation is already in the Ad Networks section documentation. After the recent update, the crash rate of my app has increased significantly. As a result, the number of downloads has dropped heavily. Previously, the app used to get around 1500–2000 downloads per day, but now it has decreased to only 100–150 downloads per day.

I’ve completed the full OneSignal setup, but notifications aren’t working. Then I tried using Firebase — the setup is also correct, but the notification doesn’t open the specific wallpaper it was sent for. It just opens the app, nothing else. What should I do? For Firebase configuration, details are outlined in the documentation. Notifications for opening a specific wallpaper must be sent through the admin panel by clicking the notification bell button in the Manage Wallpaper menu and then Send Now.
Something important before configuring OneSignal, make sure you have changed the applicationId / package name to your own, setup the app in your onesignal dashboard, such as uploading the services-account.json file, getting the OneSignal App Id and OneSignal Rest API Key, when the app has been installed and run on the device, then the notification permission request has been approved, check the Audience > Subscriptions menu in your OneSignal dashboard, make sure the device has been registered with Subscribed status, details can be seen in this video: https://youtu.be/PRMVe3gnhHQ
