This is regarding a very important feature in ultimatepos system. Many users have been asking for serial/imei number feature, but I see you recommend them to use Lot number feature.

I am really happy that you already have a lot number feature, but aside from lot number you must create a something similar to lot number called serial/imei number along with lot number feature(must have both features).

Reason: Both features differ in their scope and purpose

1. Lot/Batch Number:

Purpose: Identifies a specific production run or group of products manufactured under the same conditions (e.g., same raw materials, same production line, same time).

Scope: Applies to a group of items, not individual ones.

Use Cases: Useful for tracking production dates, expiration dates, quality control, and recalls at the group level.

Example: A batch of 100 identical computer monitors might all have the same batch number.

2. Serial/IMEI Number:

Purpose: Identifies a single, unique product.

Scope: Applies to individual items, providing a unique identifier for each one.

Use Cases: Useful for warranty tracking, individual product identification, and device tracking (IMEI for mobile phones).

Example: Each individual mobile phone will have its own unique IMEI number.

I have sales book with entails the sales records with columns like customer names, sales code, capacity/strength which is likely what the customer has power to buy, for each days of the 6 days we run in a week then 4 weeks column. There is also production record book which has the opening stock column, production quantity, weekly column and the shift column – because we run 2 shift in the factory that is morning and night. then there is also materials record which have column for like date, quantity, KG, roll number, the person who collect material and number of products the material used to product. Then we also have handover book which contains column for days with both shift morning and night, the stock handed over and also we have the outstanding book, this contains the record for debt owed by customers and has column like name, code, amount. I intend to digitize and automate my whole production/operation process, Can your software/system works for it?

I have a few suggestions regarding the POS system for restaurants:

1. Table Allocation for Sales: Once a table is assigned to a suspended sale (a sale that’s on hold), that particular table should not be available for any other new sale until that sale is completed or cleared.

2. Waiter Assignment Setting: In the POS business settings, there should be an option like “Allow only one waiter per sale.” When this option is enabled and a waiter is selected for a sale, that waiter should not be available for any other active sale at the same time.

3. Separating Waiters and Delivery Staff: Currently, both waiters and delivery riders are added under “Service Staff”, so they all appear together when assigning staff in the POS screen. We need a way to:

• Show only waiters when selecting staff for dine-in orders.
• Show only delivery riders in the delivery section.

Is there a solution or recommended approach to separate and manage this more effectively?

Even when brands and warranty is disabled in business settings, sidebar still shows brands and warranties. When disabled those must not be shown in sidebar. Can you please fix it on next update?
