Hi, I am very interested is purchasing your plugin, I wanted to kindly ask, does it track users scrolls (so I can see how far a user scrolls down on a page)? Thank you in advance!
Hello,
Yes, it tracks and replays mouse events such as scrolling, hovering over elements, clicking, etc…
Thank you for your quick reply! Just to clarify, for mobile users (as they don’t use a mouse), does the plugin still track how far they scroll down a page? I’d like to see how much of my blog posts people read based on their scrolling. Thanks again!
Yes, exactly
Perfect. Thank you for answering my questions!
changelog?
- backend design improved
- new filters and options
Hello, will this plugin slow down the site or create any lag? What if the site has many users at the same time? Thank you.
Hello,
No, this plugin will not slowdown your website, even if there are a lot of visitors. It is optimized and only sends some ASCII values in ajax to track user actions. Feel free to contact me if you encounter any problems.
Thank you for the reply.
Hello, I see I can track IP addresses with this plugin. Can I also save the IP addresses in a file and export to do better analyses? I need a plugin that can give me an overview of the IP addresses from every visitor, so I can exclude the bad ones on Google Ads.
Thank you
Hello,
The IP addresses are stored in the mySQL database of the website, you can easily export them from here. If you want an additional option to export them as csv directly from the plugin backend, it can be done as customization. Feel free to contact me from my profile page to discuss it.
awesome, thank you for the fast answer
Hi, it looks interesting, one question, is it possible to see the user in real time or do I have to wait for the session to end to be able to see the tracking?
Hello,
Thank you! Yes, you have to wait for the session end to be able to replay it.
Hi, can export log data of activity for visitors? In csv or pdf for example… tanks
Hello,
No, sorry, there is no specific option to do that currently, it would require to customize the code of the plugin.
Otherwise, you can recover all the stored data directly in the “vstr_visits” table of the mySQL database.
another question, because i want to customize this plugin, with you, if you are available of course, is possible to see the name and activity of an subscriber from db of another plugin installed in website(no user wordpress), through custom work, of course…. thanks!
Hello,
Yes, it is probably doable. Feel free to contact me from my profile page to talk about it.
Hello, can you please update the plugin? I’m interested, but only if it’s updated and have new features from time to time, and not some dead end plugin. Thank you.
hello?
Hello,
This product is a complete and finished plugin, not a project in progress. What is the exact functionality you would like?
There is so many things wrong in your statement. First of all that’s not how PC/IT/Coding works. It always evolves and develops, if you stop for over 6 months there is almost guaranteed new bugs/errors/conflicts/etc… because you are inside a full ecosystem not isolated self reliant & standalone software are you??
All I’m talking about is check the software code see if all still functions well, check with modern WP install & plugins combinations, and see. if all good then just change software version and off you go, more sales, old clients are happy and seeing there is development or at least some overview….. etc etc..
Your coding philosophy is very scary in this modern world.
Also it looks to new buyers like you simply ignore this plugin. 15/06/2021 – 29/05/2023 = That is 713 Calendar Days, that is almost TWO years with 0 updates or checking if everything is ok, or new ideas/features from you regarding this plugin, nothing nada? ok.
Ok, thanks for sharing your opinion.
Also not to go without mentioning what will happen to my customers…. Can you even imagine all the phone call I will get because all the security software inside WP will be screaming that this plugin needs to be: Removed or Updated immediately not further info, they will panic and what do I tell them? “Trust me bro” it works? don’t believe antivirus believe me… like you basically said?
So yea all this “Trust me bro” it works, Don’t work on us anymore.
Really? not even the slightest of effort to a potential customer? very rude of you.
No. All my plugins work with the latest version of WordPress and are supported. They receive updates when necessary. The functioning of this plugin (mainly done in JS) does not require frequent updating. I thank you for your suggestions and thoughts, and wish you a good day.
Ok can we do like this, please give some type of a demo copy of this plugin for me to test and see if it really works, without bugs/errors/conflicts/etc… I come back here and buy a few, to play with later, and more for my clients when done testing. Deal?
If you are so confident on your JS coding then let me test it…
Yes, it is doable. I invite you to contact me from my profile page.
Ok, will do.
Btw I ask OpenAI about your JS statement, here is what it thinks of this:
It is possible that a JavaScript code written two years ago will work within a WordPress installation without any issues, conflicts with other plugins, or errors. However, there are several factors to consider that could affect the compatibility and functionality of the code:
WordPress Updates: WordPress regularly releases updates that may introduce changes to the core software or underlying libraries. These updates could potentially affect the behavior of older JavaScript code. If your WordPress installation is running on the latest version, there may be a higher chance of compatibility.
Plugin and Theme Updates: If you have installed or updated plugins or themes within your WordPress installation, they might have introduced changes that could conflict with your existing JavaScript code. It's essential to ensure that all the plugins and themes you are using are up to date and compatible with the code you wrote.
Dependencies: If the JavaScript code relies on external libraries or dependencies, it's crucial to verify if they are still compatible and supported. Sometimes, library versions may have changed, which could lead to conflicts or errors.
JavaScript Best Practices: JavaScript itself evolves over time, and new language features may have been introduced since the code was written. It's possible that the code may have used deprecated features or older syntax that could cause issues in modern environments. However, if the code adheres to best practices and standards, it should have a higher chance of working correctly.
To ensure smooth compatibility, it is generally recommended to thoroughly test the code within the specific WordPress environment, preferably on a staging or development site, before deploying it on a live production site. This allows you to identify and address any conflicts, errors, or unexpected behaviors that may arise due to the changes mentioned above.
Alright, I see.
So it’s understood. I won’t send you a trial version (ChatGPT would probably advise against it, for possible hacking reasons), but will prepare an update for this plugin. Thank you.
Wait, so now you will not let me test the plugin?
First of all if I buy it I buy it as a company, and this is a publicly traded Ltd company I have no interest to steal or hack something, especially when one can just buy it or find millions of similar options elsewhere like Microsoft Clarity offer same for free etc… anyways unless it tries to attack us or hack us first we don’t do things like that.
Secondly, your attempt to dismiss me with saying “ChatGPT would probably advise against it” just made you sound gullible and insecure.
Also if I wanted to hack your plugin, I could have just buy one and hack away anyways.
No, there is no such trial version on the majority of plugins sold on Envato.
You are absolutely right, all edge, no point.
PHP standalone version ?
Hello,
No, sorry, there is no standalone version of this plugin planned currently.
Hi, I have 2 pre-order questions…
1. is it possible to fast forward the view? that would be a great timesafer!
2. in which format (how much MB needs a 1 minute record) and where it save the data of the records?
Thanks
Hello,
1.You can use arrows to navigate quickly to the next action during a visit replay, but not change the speed.
2. Only a few Ko in the database : the plugin records only the main actions (mouse position, elements hovered and clicked) and store this data as simple ASCII data in the database.
Aaaah ok, thanks a lot.
ok with the speed is :/ but the record in ASCII is nice. Maybe we give it a try
Hi there, pre-sale question:
Can I set the page I want to track?
Thanks.
Hello,
No, sorry, there is no specific option to do that currently. it tracks all pages of the website.
Hi, I was an old user, I was amazed by this script years ago. // I’ve also worked with other sites (LuckyOrange), so I will leave here some suggestions. 1) as mentioned by zebal, there should be a way to eliminate inactivities 2) there should be a tag system where they are added when certain urls are visited… This is very helpful to identify, per example, people who has purchased… 3) Ip / Geolocation / Tag and URL referer should be listed. These would be great improvements. Good work witht he current version. You are a genius.
Thank you very much for your encouragement and suggestions !
When I view the recordings, I do not see the screen as the user sees it, but as I see it. Is there a way to change this to actually see what the user sees, such as in Hotjar?
Sometimes the recordings last 10-15 minutes because he stays still. No way to eliminate inactivities?
Thanks
Hello,
No, sorry, there is no specific option to do that, it would require an external server, like hotjar.
Hello,
I wrote to you ages ago regarding an error in the WordPress Site Health which you created a fix for and sent me a file to update the plugin with, yet this update still hasn’t been pushed out yet as an official update?
Let me know what the next steps are, many thanks!
Hello,
Ah yes, sorry. The update is now online .
Hi,
does it also tracks backend also?
Thanks
Hello,
No, sorry, it only tracks the frontend actions.
Hi, this looks like a great plugin and a great way to visualize a users journey on the site. I like the information shown on the panel. However, is there a feature to display all these data (user, page name, url, total duration and time spent on each pages) to a table for each user session? Thanks.
Hello,
No, sorry, there is no such view panel currently. This type of statistics is directly accessible by using Google Analytics.
is a php version of this? i mean no wp.
Hello,
No, sorry, there is no PHP standalone version for this plugin. Thank you for the suggestion.
hello, we are planning to purchase this product, is it compatible with wordpress 5.5 and can we expect consistent support if we ran in to any issues?
Hello,
Yes, it works with WP 5.5, and you can contact me from the support page of the plugin if you need help .
Stopped working
Hello,
Feel free to contact me from the support page of the plugin by using the account that has support rights, I will debug it : https://codecanyon.net/item/wp-visitors-tracker/8085085/support
Hi,
Does the plugin records activity for registered users and for guests?
Thanks
Hello,
You can choose (from the plugin settings) if you want to track all visitors or only the logged ones.
Hi,
will this plug in conflict with a video on my website? or with anything else?
Moreover, if my visitors aren’t ’’connected’’ – how will they be shown?
you have great plugins, by the way
thanks,
Hello,
Thank you !
No, it should not create conflict with the videos of the website. The video position will not be recorded by the plugin, but the users actions will be normally recorded.
Great thanks, and if the visitors aren’t registered will it still track their activity?
Yes, from the settings panel you can choose to track all users or only logged ones.
