Sorry about this, I had to update the plugin to the latest version, as the demo had an older version of it.
Since a recent update, Reddit importing will require a session cookie to be set to the plugin’s settings, please check this video for details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCTsbHu9k4I

It worked. how many posts can I import and how can I import comments (how many can be imported along with each post)
I am glad to hear that it works.
Comment importing works in batches of 50. You can import comments using the ‘Import Comments’ settings field, from rule settings.
Also, you can import batches of the 25 latest posts. The plugin will auto publish new content, when the subreddit gets updated with new content.

Yes, the plugin was updated yesterday to fix this issue. Reddit now requires a session cookie for it to be able to search results. You will need to add it to the plugin’s ‘Main Settings’ menu -> ‘Reddit Session Cookie (reddit_session)’ settings field.
You will need to add there the value from the reddit_session cookie, from your browser.

So there is now a major issue with this plug in – Reddit has changed how servers/vpns log into reddit. There is now a “Cannot browse without logging in” error. So if youre running this on a server, whichIm assuming most are, it will no longer log in and scrape or post. Hopefully an update will come out to help fight this issue.

I checked on this, tried to import content from /r/PeopleAreAwesome/ – as it has mostly media content. In my case, videos work correctly.

Hello, I recently went in and added my activation code to the plugin in the settings panel and my site broke. I get a critical error message page with some fields to add my FTP info. There is also a bunch of random error message tied to this PHP template page: public_html/wp-content/plugins/redditomatic-reddit-post-generator/update-checker/Puc/v4p8/Factory.php(178)
Not sure what is going on. I had to go in and delete the plugin so the site would come back up. Please let me know how I can register this plugin and activate it.

Yes, the plugin can pull posts from multiple subreddits and assign custom categories to these posts.
However, sorting the posts by hotness and including the upvote/downvote button is not possible, for this, you will need to customize your theme, a freelancer should be able to do this custom work for you.

Well, this depends on the functionality of the plugin which is used and the way it is used. If you throttle new posts which are submitted to Reddit and also don’t abuse the system in other ways, it will not be detected as a bot.

Yes, you can set in the plugin settings a ‘Maximum Post Count Per Time Interval’ settings field, which defines how many posts are allowed for the time interval you set also in plugin settings.

Loving this plugin so far, I just have one question. My theme uses ACF Pro for a custom field that needs the featured image to be added to it. How can I pull the Reddit image into the custom field? It already makes it the featured image on the post. Now I just need to get that same image into the custom field. Yes, this is possible. To achieve this, you need to assign a specific category to create posts using the plugin. You can do this using the ’’ settings field from importing rule settings.
Once this is done, you can use a plugin to list posts from that specific category, on the page where you wish to display posts imported by the plugin. An example of a free plugin which can do this is the following: https://ro.wordpress.org/plugins/list-category-posts/

I have this scenario:
mysubreddit1 -> mysite -> mysubreddit2
What happens if I upload a video on mysubreddit1 ?
Currently videos are possible to be submitted to subreddits using the plugin, only if they are attached to the posts you publish on your site.
Unfortunately, when posts are imported by the plugin to WordPress, videos are currently not possible to be copied to your site (and attached to posts), but they will be displayed directly from Reddit, in an embedded form.
So, if you publish a video on subreddit1, the video will appear embedded on your site, but will not be published to subreddit2.
This will work only for text and images.

After taking a post from reddit to my WP blog would there be an option to tweet that new post by tweeting the URL of the individual page that the post would create? Using a plug in like Wordpress SEO by Yoast, I could install the Twitter card code on my theme. And if there was a way to automatically tweet the URL of a new page that was created, it would help bring that traffic to my blog when clicked on in twitter.
