The plugin creates a renewal order and does NOT grab the payment for it, despite the initial order was using Stripe card payment (“WooCommerce Stripe Gateway”). In the SUMO subscription dashboard it shows “automatic” as a payment mode for the subscription, but it works as “manual” by just creating a renewal order and not charging customers who used they crard to pay. For the context, the subscription had 7 days free trial and then monthly payments should be grabbed every month. The card number is grabbed when they sign up for free trail, then when it’s time the paid renewal order is created but payment is not collected at all. Customers have to login and make the payment using saved card details but they have to do it manually EVERY month.

for a few days now subscription payments with Stripe have been giving this error: “There was an error processing the payment: Received unknown parameter: setup_future_usage”
UPD: I noticed that this error only occurs when the item is Free Trial (0 amount) with automatic payment.
UPD: note that this error only occurs when the item is Free Trial (amount 0) with automatic payment and flagged option “Show Automatic Payment Methods when Order Amount is 0”

Hi, I have some presale questions.
1) Will your plugin work with any WC payment? I need to use one from Chile called Oneclick from Transbank (in case you are familiar with it).
2) Can I create 2 subscription plans like $1, $2, $3 and user can select one of the plans or add a custom value with the condition of it to be above $1 and in increments of $0.5?
3) “Manual Subscription Renewal using any WooCommerce supported Payment Gateway” What exaclty this means? Suppose I charge all my clientes the 1st of every month, if i use this gateway I have to manually charge every month the users? Is this a bulk process or one by one?

I’m interested in your plugin, but I have a question. Is it possible to define a specific role for each subscription product?
For example:
For product 1 with an annual subscription, when a customer purchases it, I assign the role “subscription_product_1”.
For product 2 with a monthly subscription, when a customer purchases it, I assign the role “subscription_product_2”.
And these roles are deleted when the subscription for each product ends.
If this isn’t possible, do you have a snippet that has this functionality, or do you have a hook or code I can use to obtain a product’s subscription status to create a custom code?

Different roles for different subscription is not possible. It is only possible to assign a specific user role if user has an active subscription.

Only a single payment(order) will be created for placing an order with mixed checkout(simple product and subscription product in same cart). But, renewals will be created only for subscription products.

Will this allow me to sell a virtual product via 3 installments, and then the customer will have access to the product forever? And will the installments be automatically triggered? i.e “3x Payments of €157 initially, allowing access to the product upon the first payment, and then €157 every 2 weeks until 3 are paid?

SUMO Subscriptions plugin is meant for getting recurring payments. To split product price into multiple installments, you can use our other plugin SUMO Payment Plans using which it is possible to achieve your requirement. Stripe – Credit Card payment method is supported for automatic charging.

Hello, I purchased your plugin because it was advertised as compatible with PayPal, but after installation, I found that it does not work with PayPal Classic. I reached out to your support team, and they informed me that PayPal is currently not supported, despite the PayPal logo being displayed on your website.

Reference Transactions has been deprecated by PayPal and hence SUMO Subscriptions – PayPal Reference Transactions payment method can’t be used anymore. We have given integration with WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin in the upcoming version(16.0.0) of the plugin which will be available in one or two days.

I have enabled both the toggles for accepting Apple/Google Pay and Credit Cards, but only Apple/Google Pay is showing up at checkout page.
May I know how to make the Credit Cards payment option to show up at checkout page?

Hi, I did open a support request 3 days ago but still no reply, the subscriptions made paying with Paypal are automatically set in manual mode, therefore automatic renewal is not happening. I read in your docs that Paypal standard is supported for automatic renewal but it doesn’t work.

seems that the subscription is created even if the order fails, the subscription status is “Failed” so it is not a problem except for the db waste, the problem is that we receive an email “New subscription created” and even if not totally wrong it is confusing, is there a setting to avoid this incorrect behaviour? I should expect to be able to choose the order status in which the subscription is created.
